Originally from Lebanon, Montaha came to Swift Current in 2018. She came to support her brother, Sammy Khalife, during his heart transplant. Montaha prepares her favourite recipes from home, serving incredible dishes to her guests in Swift Current.With care and attention that only a mother can give, Montaha prepares her dishes as though for her family. Quality home cooked meals, made from scratch.

Sammy, the owner, is an incredibly caring and lovable guy. This seeps into everything he does, including serving guests at Montaha’s. If he’s not too busy you’ll definitely enjoy a warmer personal experience than you’re used to when grabbing a bite. The food is quite unique for Swift Current, and they sell some very original drinks, including some imported pops. It’s a small, quaint place, and you can park right beside the door. Most of Sammy’s proceeds help cover his medical expenses which are quite high as he awaits a heart transplant. Support a great guy and great cause just by having a meal.

Absolutely stunning to find such outstanding Lebanese food in the middle of the prairie. We stumbled across it while driving through downtown Swift Current and stopped in on a lark. We were rewarded with excellent food and outstanding service. My wife has Celiac disease and it can be a trial to find kitchens that are in tune with the gluten allergy, but they were knowledgeable about their foods and provided clear and simple guidance. If you are in the area, Monthaha’s is well worth your time.

If we could give it 10 stars we would. This was not one that was on our radar, we found it by pure accident and have not stopped thinking about since. This is a MUST try if you enjoy traditional Lebanese cuisine at reasonable prices. Small but yet full of heart. Rarely would you fine these days somewhere with such charm and conversation. Sammy is truly a humble man and his sister amazing chef. Such passion is rare these days and I truly hope that they can make a real go of it through these times. There is not one dish on the menu that would be under a 10 star. Hat off to you both and really hope we can get back for another great meal.

I really prefer supporting local, so thought I’d try Montaha’s. I am a total foodie, and with the first menu item I ordered, I fell in love. I have tried many items on the menu, and continue to fall in love over and over again. Sammie and Montaha’s menu items are so unique with the freshest ingredients and beautiful flavour combinations. Their lamb dishes melt in your mouth, and all their sandwiches and stews are like nothing you’ve ever had. They often have a special dish not on the menu which is a really special treat! This is definitely a gem of a find. A MUST if you appreciate quality food. This doesn’t even touch on the warmth bestowed upon you by the owners. Lovely, lovely people and a truly unique experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Montaha’s. Lots of fresh flavours, super friendly and helpful staff, and our food came amazingly fast. The lentil soup is excellent, as were all the dips and sauces (baba ganoush, hummus, garlic sauce, tzatziki) and the pickled vegetables. The beef on the Lebanese bbq platter was my favourite. A true hidden gem in Swift Current.

We had a wonderful dinner this evening. The falafels were light, the dips tasty, and the dolmas tangy and delicious. The special was a beefy cabbage roll, lightly spiced with cinnamon and other things I couldn’t identify. The highlight, though, was the chai and dessert special — a halawet jebn that I never tasted before. It was a sweet cheese pastry with cardamom and, rose and orange water (I think) syrup, toasted nuts — really delicious. Try the specials. Really nice family. By the way, it’s easy to get to from the highway.

I love cooking and it’s not often I go to a restaurant where I am served a meal more delicious than what I can make at home. Montaha’s Bistro blew me away with flavourful food and generous portions. I don’t write reviews but I’m still thinking about our meal three days later, so I had to!

Wide variety of menu items, both Lebanese and Canadian choices. Service was excellent. All three of us enjoyed different Lebanese dishes. All were excellent and enjoyed very much. A pot of chai tea is a must as well as the pistachio dessert.

We were in Swift Current for a week long event and ate here 3 times it was so good. Great service (good advice if you aren't sure). We had various wraps (they cut them in half so you can share), the Beirut street salad plus daily specials. And the chai. All excellent.

This was an unexpected find on our travel thru Canada. We stopped for lunch in Swift Current and saw this little bistro. The food was absolutely delicious. Had the Baba Ganoush, silky smooth with just the right amount of smokiness, not overpowering. Also had Dolma which had nice texture, with delicate flavoring. A bonus was there were gluten free options, important for someone with celiac. The owners were very pleasant and patient with explanations. This is a little gem of a place.

Forget strip mall middle-eastern food. This is the real thing, home cooked with love. Easily my best meal of the year. Great menu. Decor is simple (better from the inside than the outside). Service is friendly. Skillfully addressed allergy issues. Price is reasonable. My only regret is that I don’t live in Swift Current to eat here all the time.

We stopped on our way to Regina. The restaurant is just a few minutes off the main highway. The service and food were both amazing. My kids loved the lentil soup, hummus, and their amazing chai. The tabbouleh salad was the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely come back next time we pass through.

We had lunch here a few times while we were visiting here. The food is authentic, fresh, hot, incredibly tasty and the service is prompt, and friendly. I wish they were around the corner from where I live!
