My husband and I just returned from our St. George's Caye getaway and loved every minute of our time spent on the island. From time of booking several months ago, to the completion of our vacation everything was top notch! Our over the water cabana was clean and comfortable giving us wonderful island views of wildlife, vegetation, amazing sunsets and star filled night skies. One of our favorite memories was taking our delivered coffee and juice to the other side of the island to watch the amazing sunrises every morning. Each day was different offering the most beautiful colored skies we had ever seen. Also, hammock time was a real treat! There were plenty available to enjoy around the island whenever you felt like a little relaxation time. Kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and windsurfing were some of the fun activities we enjoyed. Our massages and private, romantic dinner were extra special since we enjoyed on Valentine's Day! St George's Caye is a very beautiful, special place but the attention to detail and dedicated staff take it to a whole different level. Thank you to all (especially Oliver!) for making our vacation experience to Belize fun, relaxing and so memorable! It truly is paradise and a taste of the good life!

This is a wonderful review to read! We often hear "top notch" with regard to the island experience but we are even more thrilled that you commented on your whole entire experience. We strive to start your trip experience the moment we connect for the reservations process and we are so glad that you felt that! Isn't it so fun to watch the sun break over the water?! Makes one appreciate the grand beauty of nature at its best! Thank you for the shout out to our team. We are so blessed with just an incredible group of people serving our guests and we couldn't appreciate more, your kind remarks about their efforts! Thank you again for joining us at St. George's Caye Resort and for your time in posting this review. Hope to be of world class service to you in the sun again soon!

This is our second time to stay at this wonderful resort (we were there in Jan/Feb 2019).
My wife and I think our stay was even better this time. We stayed in the garden cabana, which was very nice, as this cabana was exposed to some east winds (much less than the oceanfront cabanas) which provided a nice breeze through the night - no air con required. The resort has added new air con units, which is a welcome change - much quieter. We still maintain that the "magic" of this resort is sitting around the dinner table each night, eating fantastic 4 course dinners, while meeting new people from around the world (even Finland and Sweden). The resort is small, quiet, and very well maintained. We will return again one day.

We are always striving to improve and update the resort so we are glad you noticed! And yes, the incredible fortune or as you say "magic" is the people. Thank you again for your time and we can't wait to see you again in the sun! Tim

This was my second trip to the resort. This trip was for my birthday and my mom and me arrived on Oct. 16th and left on Oct. 23rd. As usual the staff went above and beyond with their service! I spent my 40th birthday on the resort and the staff was absolutely great with helping me celebrate this special day! Edison is the best bartender there! Alex and all the wait staff are always taking care of everything you need. The diving was amazing and the dive staff was awesome as always! Freddie and Jose were the best on the dive trips. Food is always amazing. The kitchen staff even made me a birthday cake and all the staff came out and sang happy birthday to me that night at dinner! The rooms and grounds are always kept clean and well maintained. Only complaint I have is that the mattresses in the rooms were a little hard and slightly uncomfortable. Other than that I had the best week relaxing and enjoying the view! I highly recommend this resort for your next get away! I will be planning my next trip in the next few months for another dive trip!

My fiance (he proposed here!) and I just got home from our trip to St. George's Caye Resort. We had truly the most special, fun, laid back trip ever. Like, so good we're thinking of having our wedding here. From the outstanding food to the beautifully kept garden to the incredibly sweet staff, this place is spectacular. They've thought of everything to make sure you're relaxed and taken care of at all times. A few of my highlights below.

Staff: Everyone on the team really is just a kind, helpful person. The cooking staff set up fishing rods and bait for my fiance, Jose created a beautiul dinner for him to propose, Jahnene did everything in her power to make sure we still had a seamless vacation after our flights were delayed, and everyone in between just made us feel like friends. Communication before and while we were there was also 10/10.

Stay: We stayed in the overwater bungalow. This was such an amazing experience. The little porch is so cute to sit and have a quiet coffee on in the mornings, the air conditioning almost worked too well, and it was incredible to be able to swim right out of our room. Highly recommend.

Details: What makes this place so special is the details. Having airport transfer, COVID testing arranged, etc. made it a worry-free experience. From food presentation to towel art, the team also really tries to make everything they do beautiful and special. Additionally, we found the ammenities like the hobie cat, kayaks, 24 hr pool access, etc. super fun and easy to use.

If you're wondering whether or not you should book this... I'm here to tell you you 100% should. But I'll be jealous you're going instead of me. :)

This small charming boutique resort will definitely impress! It definitely has changed my mind about ever staying at a larger crowded hotel or resort again when traveling.
The staff was beyond amazing! Every single person that I met staff and guests included left a wonderful impression and added to my lifelong memories.
Although it’s the only business on the island there is so much exploring you can do once you get there.
We stayed in the overwater bungalows and each morning and evening spotted the same fish and stingrays. It was like having your own private aquarium right underneath us.
We only did one excursion which was the zip lining and cave tubing. So exciting and I’ve done a lot of excursions while traveling this was hands-down the best one to date.
This was a last minute booking for me. I had planned to go to Mexico but due to the high levels of Covid I had to cancel and rebook another destination. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Whether you’re traveling with a significant other, where are your best friend like I did I guarantee that you will have the time of your life.
Thank you so much to all the staff and the owner Tim for making my stay so memorable. I don’t usually like to travel to the same place twice but I think I’ll make an exception with this charming little island I called home for a week!
Enjoy my fellow travelers….✈️🌸🌴🌎

We stayed over New Year's Eve for 3 nights. It was exactly what we have expected - even more.
The staff is amazing (attentive, friendly, helpful).
Sport activities are plenty. We have been snorkeling (seeing rays, fishes, turtles, corals), kayaking, sailing (with dolphins in front of the hotel - most impressive moment for me in 2019!), anchoring at a sandbank close to the hotel where we enjoyed the blue breathtaking water and view.

If you have any food allergies, let them know and the prepare everything what you need!

I have forgotten my purse at the resort and they have sent it to the next place whereI was staying one day later per Tropic air. That has rescued my vacation. I can't be more thankful to Jahnene and her colleagues!

The place is very cosy and only a few people can stay there. Many times we felt like we are the only people staying at the resort, because everyone is doing something different to enjoy the day.

If you search a place where you can relax, be active, enjoy nature and enjoy a good service - that's the place to be!!

I am so glad we chose St George’s Caye Resort for our first adventure back into international travel. Plenty of pre- departure information guiding us through the specific steps to enter Belize safely put our concerns at ease. From the moment we were greeted with a smiling face at the airport, to our departure COVID testing at a clinic in Belize, and everything in between, relaxing adventure was easy to accomplish during our stay.

Our mainland tours were fantastic as the details are taken care of by our St. George’s Caye Resort tour guide. It is amazing to see this beautiful country carefully re-emerge by taking safety precautions so that tourism can support the economy responsibly.

Time at the resort was filled with delicious fresh food, plenty of space to connect as a family, a perfect blend of activities for my young adults kiddos and no WIFI while mom had an oh so nourishing mud massage!

The staff is professional, personable and always willing to help make our stay more dreamy.

If you are ready to pack your bags, this is the perfect place to step back into traveling!

The cabins are very close together. Almost all of them face the sea. We liked being on the east side since I awaken early and liked to watch the sun rise. The "overwater" cabins face the west and are also close together. The sea is full of seaweed, making swimming unattractive. But there is a salt water pool and lots of equipment to enjoy the water: paddle boards, canoes and kayaks. We went out on the Hobie Cat (sailboat) with Uris who was a great captain.

The staff did a good job. The food was great and plentiful. Each person got his/her own plate, so we had more than we could eat.

The impression is that there is nothing else on the island, but actually we walked along the shore and there were lots of other buildings, some in good repair, some not. We also stumbled upon the residences of the staff which looked like what is provided for migratory workers in the U.S.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review your stay! We are very glad that you enjoyed the resort, island, and pool. It sounds like your stay was full of sun. Sargassum is a seaweed that is natural to the area. This floating seaweed can be a problem in the whole Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. It is very unpredictable, but we are lucky because it affects us less than other resorts in Belize. When the floating vegetation visits our Island, our staff can keep it moving past us with the natural current, so it doesn’t collect on our beachfront, and do our best to manage this natural resource that is vital to the sea life. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and wish you well in your future travels!

If you are looking for a private island get away this is for you.
All you have to do is book your stay. We were fortunate enough to visit for 9 nights which could be a little long if you are into bar hopping and a different restaurant every night.
If you are looking for a place that feels like old friends or favorite family members catering to your every whim this is it!
The resort is small and intimate. We chose the over water cabanas for our stay. Which were perfect for watching the sunset.
The food is amazing and fresh. Perfect portions and the chef will cook up fish that you catch.
What makes this place stand out from any other I’ve stayed is the staff. Jahnene and Oliver make sure any excursions you book go seamlessly. All you have to do is pick. Their tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Edison and Alex from the bar are two more standouts. Quick with a smile and drink or friendly game of corn hole.
The spa service was top notch. I recommend the mud massage.
They really work hard to give you the perfect experience.
Your stay starts when they greet you at the airport and doesn’t end until they drive you to get a covid test and then deliver you back to the airport.
You really just need to decide lagoon or beach front.
I have been to more luxurious resorts but none compare to this experience. I really felt like they cared if we enjoyed ourselves.
Bonus for us was the adult only aspect.

It has been quite a few years since I stayed there with my wife for our Honeymoon, but it sounds like the same family runs the resort, so I thought I'd write a review because I'm still grateful for the wonderful experience they gave us. We had such an amazing time with so many "firsts." First night dive, first drift dive, first time seeing dolphins while diving, first time windsurfing (the amazing host taught me how--sorry I can't remember her name), first time sailing a Hobie cat, first professional massage, first time zip-lining, first time eating termites (don't judge me... they taste like mint (really) and our rainforest guide introduced us to them on a wonderful hiking excursion), first time seeing thousands of hermit crabs on the beach (happened one night), first time kayaking through mangroves, first time seeing tons of tarpins at night (they put out lights for them), first time almost getting peed on by a tapir at the zoo, first time picnicking on a sandbar in the middle of the ocean, I could go on.. and on. We loved it there. The hosts were the kindest people and went above and beyond for their guests. They even made me a special (amazing) birthday cake and I got to play Texas Holdem' with their son who played professionally at the time. We plan on going back someday. I just happened upon their site and thought I'd write a review because I'm still grateful for the experience they gave us. The food and lodging were fantastic, the crew treated us like royalty, and the experience was more intimate (and just plain better) than the impersonal large commercial resorts.

What a fun story to read and see all of the wonders that you experienced, both from the natural resources, but also from enjoying the service from our staff! This truly warms our hearts, possibly even more than a review written closer to the time of your stay, because the joy has resonated with you. What is the cost if we want to add drink package?
Answer from Pathfinder772942
Greetings! Tim here, owner of the resort. You mentioned a resort fee. Just to clarify, some online travel agents call our meal plan a resort fee. No need to carry cash to tip every interaction with staff. An opportunity to provide an all-staff tip is given when you check out. This amount is then distributed to all staff to take care of bith visible staff and those behind the scenes who also contribute to the guest experience. We don't suggest a customary amount, any amount you feel is appreciated by our team. Thank you for your thoughtful question.

Can you add an alcohol package to your rate?
Answer from Tim Loose
Hello! Yes, you can... However, we recommend just ordering directly through the bar. We keep a tab for you the entire stay so you don't need to have cash and it is very simple and more cost-effective for you!
