We were travelling as a family in St Lucia for Christmas and New Year. Our base was Rodney Bay, we chose Marigot Beach because of its unique location. Chelsea booked us in and arranged our transfer all had to be covid certified for us to stay with the restrictions. As the little ferry took us across the water to our destination we felt special. We booked entry level accommodation which adequate for our needs had a lovely little terrace with a pretty view. We booked in for New Years Eve dinner and the hotel went to great lengths making it a memorable night with little prizes given out. Breakfast was lovely served cooked to order with plenty of choice. There is so much that is so unique about this place, it has a little track to lift guests up the steep hill in comfort. A nature track to the peak gives a superb view of the entire bay. We had fun swinging from the palm tree into the sea. On the beach are locals selling food, cold drinks and souvenirs. We had a little lunch bar b que which they cooked for us. Roosters running about which I heard from 5am. If I am next in St Lucia I imagine if money is spent on this hotel I will be priced out from staying as it will be a place only the super rich can afford to stay. The owner welcomes all to his unique hotel it was magical.

Spent a lovely relaxing 10 days here. No hesitation in recommending St Lucia. This is not really a party resort at all (although they have happy hour and live bands in the evenings) but that suited us just fine. Rooms and hotel facilities were all clean and comfortable but in need of updating. Food was generally very tasty and good but dinner / drinks were quite expensive. Most reception bar/restaurant and ground staff are super friendly, welcoming and take an unobtrusive interest in making sure you have a good time. In particular Imani, Ann and one other receptionist were delightful. Andrez, one of the groundsmen was also a very lovely guy. A couple of the other bar / restaurant staff were consistently a little miserable though!
My wife and I spent an excellent day on a boat tour to Soufriere and adjacent beaches with Gilian. He was a gentleman and his boat is across the harbour (called Monica bless), just along from the food stall where locals eat. We had a couple of nice meals there too which were much cheaper than an of the restaurants.
Finally would like to thank Duan Fred who drove us around and to sulphur springs / waterfall, botanical gardens and to the airport. He is a knowledgeable and safe driver who should clearly be a standup comedian part time :) Seems like everyone knows him but we booked him through the hotel reception.

Very disappointed in our accommodation on arrival .Took our concerns to Ann who responded very positively and was extremely helpful . We were moved into new accommodation that was above and beyond our expectation and certainly met the hotel 4 star rating it has. Hotel needs some tender loving care as it appears to be stuck in a bygone era .
Loved breakfast , although having paid for this in advance we were disappointed to be told we were only able to have the buffet menu as opposed to freshly made omelettes etc as this would have been an extra cost .
Loved the quirky ferry and the views from Marigot bay cannot be faulted . This is prime location crying out for Investment To bring it in line with the 4 star rating it is advertised as .
Pool is small and again very tired we didn’t use at all. Whilst there is a Beach , it is very small , if you are looking for a beach resort this would disappoint.
Due to the above we spent most of the time at another hotel and used their facilities

We stayed 14 nights Jan into Feb and were absolutely thrilled. We chose the Grande Studio room which was a small premium over the basic, but it was really worth it.
The views over the bay were spectacular from our balcony and the four poster bed very comfy. Aircon worked well and was quiet.
Marigot Bay has a great selection of restaurants and we tried them all. Doolitles is great and has a nightly special deal. Their evening 2 for 1 House cocktails were great too.
Not a flashy hotel but carries a rustic charm in keeping with it's surroundings. Having a kitchen was great too enabling us to enjoy breakfast overlooking the bay every morning. The best sunbathing was in the totally private beach rather than the general public beach.
We decided to hire a car for our whole time there, which was a good decision and gave us flexibility to visit places at our own timescale.
We loved the ferry and got to know the friendly ferrymen. It makes it feel as though you're on a wee private island.
We found all the staff really friendly and accommodating - made us feel quite at home. The only problem was having to leave at the end of our holiday!
We're carrying lovely memories which we'll never forget. Thanks Marigot Bay Club Resort!

This resort is in an attractive, secluded bay, some distance from the main attractions in Saint Lucia.
My room was quiet and comfortable with a fridge and a good fan unit that kept me cool. It had beautiful views across the bay. It was clean, though there was a (harmless) insect on one occasion. The porter removed a similar (harmless) insect from my friends' room (I left mine in peace). The furnishings in the rooms had some marks and would benefit from an upgrade. Some minor items were missing. I would also have liked blackout blinds and mosquito nets on the doors and windows.
There were great opportunities for sunset photography from my balcony and from the restaurant, Doolittles. The food in the restaurant was generally good. The pina coladas were excellent. However, on one occasion, the chicken was undercooked. The breakfast was overpriced, so we bought breakfast items from a supermarket in Castries.
There was a regular free ferry service across the bay to and from the car park.
The staff were helpful, particularly the porters, who carried our luggage up and down the steep flights of steps to our rooms (there was no lift). However, reception closed at 3.30 pm.
One thing I particularly liked was that when we asked the hotel to book a water taxi to take us on a trip to the Pitons at sunset, the hotel did not add a significant mark-up to the taxi charge (to compare prices, I asked elsewhere, and the alternative would have been more expensive).
The resort beach is good, though rather small; and I was not pleased to be offered drugs more than once by local dealers.
But overall, this was an enjoyable place to stay.

What a lovely hotel in a beautiful location on a beautiful island.
The rooms, facilities, staff & management have been exemplary during difficult times as managing the Coronavirus becomes a Global necessity.
As said elsewhere, this is not 'Sandals' & this is a GOOD thing. It human, on a human scale and I recommend anyone to come here once things settledown again. The hotel & resort deserve success, it's staff deserve praise.

We just got back from our holiday in Saint Lucia in Marigot Beach Club & Dive Resort. We had a fabulous time! Hotel itself was nice, not amazing but average would be too harsh. Our room was very nice but you can tell shower was very dated, safe didn’t work at all (and maintenance man didn’t seem that bothered to help!!) Hotel itself looks a bit tired (but heard that’s a trend all over Saint Lucia) Grounds could be better maintained with litter being picked up regularly and some tiles and woodwork replaced and painted. The pool (even tho we didn’t use it at all as we prefer the beach) was hardly ever cleaned. Not enough lounging areas to sit on either in comparison to the number of rooms. Hotel staff is a mixture of very nice helpful people and those that really couldn’t be bothered. It feels a little bit like they rely on the location so letting things go downhill - and location is stunning! Beach is amazing, water crystal clear, designated swimming area and just pure fabulous! Make sure if you are half board you enquire what exactly it is!! As receptionists weren’t sure at start and neither were some bar staff. But we found a few waitresses that were super helpful and friendly and they were our go to for the duration of the trip and explained everything. Basically breakfast allowance was 54.16 EC Dollars per day per person and dinner allowance is 80.21 EC Dollars per day per person - that’s not including taxes and 10% service charge. Overall nice hotel. Would I stay there again, not sure, but would I stay in Marigot Bay, 100% yes!

We booked a room for 7 days through RCI. We paid an additional $800+, when we arrived we realized the rate was only $99 US anyhow, so on top of the timeshare we used we spent more than we should have. (The hotel said that they couldn't help us with that rate, so we have reached out to RCI as well.) Please note: you have to use the ferry to access this hotel, and you have to transfer ferries and pay to get to the restaurants.
We were told there were two restaurants, ATM on site, Grocery store, grocery delivery, WiFi in room. The list goes on. They wouldn't show us the gym bc they said that it is now being used as storage. There also isn't a spa, they said that they can arrange a massage outdoors. ( they said bc of covid, but wouldn't show us the spa at all...not sure it exists either. ) ALL of these things listed are on the website for the hotel ( and RCI) and none of it was true. Not only was the hotel filthy, there was a man on the property ( beach) trying to sell my husband illegal substances.
Our room was very basic but seemed clean. We went into the bathroom and there were ants everywhere, also, again, no wifi in the rooms.
Because of Covid, they have the manager leaving at 3, which is also check-in time. Luckily we arrived at 2:30 so we were able to check in. The woman on staff, Chelsea, was very kind but not helpful. We did check out the second day.
If you are looking for anything relative to what you are told it is going to be, avoid this place at all costs.
I read a review afterwards and it was negative, and the hotel responded that it was " a personal attack so they were not going to entertain it". This is not a personal attack, this is an issue of integrity, unfortunately.

Amazing location, relaxed and tranquil. This is not Sandals so if you want that experience don't come here. But if you want a friendly, paid back, unique location with a few bars and restaurants, shallow safe sea to swim and a small beach with a mix of local people and holiday visitors, this is your place. We stayed in a Superior Firefly room which is very clean, comfy bed with Aircon, balcony, a good shower and adequate bathroom. Will definitely be coming back here. There are posts that moan about the need for refurb but the only thing I would say is that the steep steps to our room would be safer at night with lights. Probably isn't the best place to bring children but for a couple's, quiet, authentic and chilled out winter sun spot it's perfect. We hired a car and drove through Castries to Rodney Bay and Gros Islet where we found an incredible empty beach. Then went to Fort Rodney at Pigeon Island. The big Sandals report looked very smart but would be the last place on earth I would want to stay. Saying trip on the Carnival boat was a great day.

Setting the appropriate expectations will determine how you feel about this hotel. The Marigot Beach Club and Diver Resort was probably a premier location 40 years ago but, in 2024, it is a sad remnant of whatever it once was. While the views are stunning, the entire property is so poorly maintained and staffed that I suspect most travelers will be disappointed in their experience. The bar and restaurant (DOOlittle's) needs a total renovation and the service is ridiculously inattentive. Although my stay at the hotel was limited to one night, the first room we were assigned, a so-called Deluxe Beach Front Studio (Room 54, directly over the office below), could not have been less appealing. To make matters worse, when we returned to the room at about 8 PM, we quickly noted that there was no water. No water in the sink, no functioning toilet, and no shower. When I walked to the reception area, it was dark and locked. The person in the nearby security kiosk simply grunted at me. Although we were eventually assigned another room at about 10 PM that night, it took two trips in the rain to the restaurant to locate anyone who would or could assist. From what we were told the next day, many other guests were also without water. At this, the hotel staff did not seem surprised.
Although there are probably limited options, I would recommend looking elsewhere for lodging in the Marigot Bay area.

With every hotel or business, you will find differences in each person's experience.
Not every place is for everyone but I am pretty sure you saw the good reviews as well.
One person's experience is not the experience of all.
Usually we would have a night with live music during the week but since Covid, this has not been happening but music is always playing.
If you go to a dine at a covid certified restaurant then you may get live music.
There are more places to choose from in the Marigot Bay area.
