Very professional staff with northern hospitality that makes you feel at home. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. With the -45 temperature outside it was very comfortable inside. Looked forward to the meals they prepared, always very good. Saturday was pizza night with great toppings and lot of cheese.

Not many places to stay in Kinngait but they treat you like family.

Amazing boutique hotel - surprising so far north! Rooms are amazing, with high end fixtures, a small balcony, and nice TVs in the newer building. Nice kitchen area to lounge around in. Food was amazing with lots of different options at lunch, but dinner had only 1 option (but still excellent). Continental breakfast options were available, but unreasonably expensive even for the Arctic ($3-4 per item!!!). Rate is expensive, but would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I spent several nights in this exceptionally comfortable and beautiful hotel. The room was large with comfortable beds, lovely decor, and a wonderful Jacuzzi tub! The weather was particularly nice and we were able to enjoy the balcony with a view of the town and bay. Beautiful Inuit prints by Cape Dorset artists are hung throughout, with large windows and high ceilings that accentuate the views in all directions of this special place. Food was FABULOUS as well.

If you are interested in exploring the surrounding areas, consider taking a tour with Huit Huit tours run by Kristiina and Timmun, who also own the hotel. We traveled by boat and foot and explored many unique areas, staying in the family camp for four days and eating mostly what our hosts caught. Our tiny cabin was basic but extremely comfortable. This was a trip of a lifetime that one should not miss if they are traveling to this unique area.

I stayed here while I was in town on business. Not only was the internet only functional for less than 3 hours a day 3pm - approx. 6pm for all of the days I was there (they choke it out once it gets used so much as to not have to pay more $$ for a bigger package...) but the dishes in the cupboard were dirty with crumbs still visible in the drawers. I was provided with one pack of coffee for my 3 day stay. Asking for more was all but impossible as there was never anyone at the front desk. When I called the after hours number for assistance I was told that person had the flu and could not help me. I was trying to check out. At $300 a night I certainly expect a lot more from this hotel. The beds were comfortable but that's about the only good thing I can say.

Most inns in the hamlets are friendly but sadly rundown. The Dorset Suites is as nice a hotel as you would find anywhere. Lovely rooms, satellite tv, WiFi and guest laundry. Highly recommended. The Resturant provides decent breakfast lunch and dinner - also there is a kitchen available for guests.

Just stayed at Dorset Suites with a group of 8. How lucky could we be to have had Christina looking after us at her beautiful well run hotel? There isn't a scratch on the wall in the art filled hotel with comfy white duvets. Where do you get decks and balconies off your room in the North?? Our meals of caribou, char, and stew were perfectly served, beyond plentiful, and delicious enough to remember forever. Christina and her family gave generously their time to share their knowledge, arrange for interactions and outings. Many thanks.

I have travelled extensively in the Canadian Arctic and it was a real treat to stay at the Dorset Suites. The rooms ar fantastic an the common areas are comfortable, well furnished and filled with natual light. I ate some of the best arctic char I have ever eaten there. If you are travelling to this community on business, it is a welcome relief to stay in such a comfortale an well appointed facility.

Very well run and comfortable property. Excellent and spotless accommodation. You have a choice of large hotel rooms or self contained efficiencies. Either way the restaurant is good and now serves wine and beer albeit only to guests. A strong recommend.

The room was spacious and well kept the view from the room was spectacular. The food was well prepared and excellent. If you get to Cape Dorset this is the place to stay. Make sure to look at the art the proprietor has available.
