Superb hotel. The staff were the best we have ever experienced. A huge shout out for Mikaela who predominantly served on the pool bar. She made me laugh out loud every day and I am a tough audience! I cannot fault any part of the hotel. Absolutely gorgeous. What ever training, support etc is given to the staff should be bottled and shared. They were so happy and lovely to the guests. We experienced laughter and dancing among the staff that rubbed off on the guests. We will return.

Originally due to stay at Sabila back in May, then October and then I was transferred here.
Whilst Sabila was adults only and Star Prestige (free drinks and rooftop infinity pool) this was family and no Star Prestige.
What they did provide was a no cost significant complimentary room upgrade to a fantastic side view duplex with spa bath and 2 balconies. The monsoon showers were brilliant. Great space especially for one!! Thank you.
There was loads of space throughout this sprawling Hotel and I'd say rooms were more modern than communal areas. Pools looked good but no idea if they were. WiFi worked well though dropped out most days so had to reconnect.
In terms of Covid-19 there were lots of sanitising areas, all staff wore masks and plenty of space around the hotel. Whilst there were shared utensils at the buffet they seemed to be changed regularly.
In terms of food I was also given a complimentary upgrade to half board. I only used it once. I didn't find the food choice or quality that outstanding and, by the time I brought in hotel cost of wine and a bit of desire to support the local businesses, it became a no brainer to eat elsewhere. In terms of breakfast choice was OK.
Overall Iberostar treated me very well through the changes made in difficult times and I look forward to staying with the brand again hopefully soon.
The resort itself was so quiet and the majority of businesses closed.

Hi there once again went to the Iberostar Anthelia in September 10 nights for my 65th birthday, We were supposed to be going to the Iberostar bourganvile playa but it was closing down on the 21st September but we were flying out on the 17th September so they let us go two to the Iberostar Anthelia. It is a absolutely fabulous place whot can you say about this place we were star prestige alc high floor side sea view the rooms are gorgeous beautiful from the superb bathroom to the beautiful king size bed and a lovely sea view. Because of Covid-19 we had to were mask walking round and to fetch our food which was top class and the pools were great and you could book the restaurants extra shot they also have there. My wife booked one of them for my birthday on the 22nd September the food was lovely and we had a bottle of Moet, after the beautiful meal out came the staff with a birthday cake and everyone sing as well happy birthday to me and al the people eating sang to me,the cake was so beautiful it made my night and when l was expecting a big bill coming one of the hotel managers said it was on the house for my birthday how lovely thank you so much. The Hotel is really worth every penny of its 5star rating the staff work so hard rooms are cleaned spotlessly this is why we always book Iberostar straight through the hotels. We are already looking when to come again thank you all Iberostar.

Family of five four adults one teenager garden sea view rooms big and clean went all inclusive mini bar included coffee machine included. Usual all inclusive buffet would have liked to have use of portifino restaurant for lunch for different location and selection had dinner in portifino one night part of the AI. snack bar at pool bar could only get baguettes that were made up could not select what you would like could add more of a selection not everyone likes banquettes. Drinks were branded also bottles of coke lemonade etc good choice good selection of pools could get sunbed at any time no need to rush in morning. Animation team were lovely sumba aqua aerobics in pool entertainment was good at night different shows could be on bit more longer finishes at 10 30 don’t know if it’s down to Covid. Mixed bunch of staff mostly polite and worked really hard could get table any time at b fast lunch or dinner not to busy. If you are looking for lovely hotel in great location would recommend this you could always get something to eat at the buffet and I am really fussy eater.staff do work really hard especially in these trying times having to wear masks in the heat and they do work long hours.its also good having different pools to go to and you are right on the beach with lovely promenade to walk around.Sanitisers every were and everyone needs to wear a Mask when manouvering around makes it safe place to be.would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

We have just come back from a 10night holiday here, with 4 children 15,13,9 & 4!
We were abit worried due to the rules and regulations around covid19.
But everything was taken care of, hands sanitizer everywhere, tables were cleaned before seated and all staff had protective visors.
We only had to wear masks when in the restaurant to go and get food, however everyone seemed to maintain distance anyways (using their own common sense).
The food was changed everyday but with the usual kids pizza and chips everyday aswell to keep the kids happy, various flavours of ice cream and massive selection of cakes and pastries.
The freshly cooked pasta dishes (Cooks while you wait) you can pick which ever ingredients & sauce you want, they are all very tasteful.
Our room was cleaned everyday, if they knocked and we still in the room, they came back when we were out.
Very clean hotel and amazing staff, very friendly and always made to feel welcome, one time i ordered a tea, the waitress bought my tea over but forgot to bring milk, i told her no worries i will come up and get it, the waitress then insisted i stayed where i was, she will bring it, as i was on holiday..
Reception were very helpful whenever we asked for something they were always happy to help, we done a few days put, reception called for a taxi and each time within 5 minutes the taxi had arrived
The lobby bar in the evening if a nice chilled atmosphere, except for one night, one of the guests had to much to drink and was causing a scene, she was quickly removed and we never saw her in there again.
Rita who does professional photos around the hotel, is also amazing, we have some fantastic photos to capture the memories and affordable prices, She is such a lovely lady.
Will definitely be going back, and would highly recommend this hotel.. it is worth every penny.

we were upgraded from our four star to this hotel as our original was closed ,as were others, but more about that later. There is no doubt that this hotel is one of the best in Tenerife ,it covers a big site but does not feel overpowering and is set on multiple levels ,but no problems if you have mobility issues as there are lifts to every part of the complex, the entire site is kept spotless inside and out with multiple pools all heated bar one with sunbeds aplenty ,and socially placed out , rooms are spread out in various blocks and vary in size with the top floor on some having outdoor whirlpools on the balcony, we had what was described as a garden view ,but it was more of a view over the grounds and out to sea, really nice, with a huge bed, at least super king, safe, fridge ,coffee making machine,, very large walk in shower with all organic soaps and shower consumables which were very good.
All the staff and I mean all were so friendly, polite and efficient and they all gave the impression that they were happy to be there which led to a lovely atmosphere..
The only black mark had nothing to do with the hotel but more the guests that were staying here, it would be a fair assumption that quite a few of the people staying here were not intended for this hotel, us included, BUT one or two did not show the respect it deserves, unfortunately one such family descended in the room next to us and decided to make as much noise as possible culminating in a drunken barrage of abuse and threatening behavior which was shameful, when you can hear a young child screaming at there drunken parents to be quiet it says all you need to know, next day we moved out to another room with the amazing help from the staff who arranged everything with the minimum of fuss and very discreetly, we did not want those "people" to know where we had moved .
Finally a mention about the food, which was as good, if not better than some of the food we have had on cruise ships, it was plentiful, varied and prepared to a very high standard, and like the rest of the hotel was very covid friendly which was monitored very strictly by the staff. This hotel is not the cheapest place to stay however the adage you get what you pay for fits the bill here, as the heading says ,perfect

We just came back from our 3 night stay from the hotel. The hotel itself is massive and beautiful, light and airy from the lobby. Once you get in the rooms, you immediately realise that its more like an upscale centerparc than a 5 star hotel.
The rooms were cleaned every day, but there was a constant humid/damp feeling in the room even with the airco on. The sheets also felt damp every time we laid on the bed.
The shower had good water pressure but the hot/cold water distribution was off. We often had cold water coming out of nowhere when we were taking a shower, which was super annoying.
The hotel claims that they have irons available, but the only thing we had in the room was an ironing board. We informed the concierge twice in the morning, once again in the evening but we could not get a hold of an iron because “other guests have not returned their iron”.
Service was also average. Something I would expect and receive from a 4 star. The only 5 star thing about the hotel would be the pool, which we really enjoyed. But this you can access without having to stay at the hotel apparently; We talked to a couple at the hotel pool who just happened to walk in and use the pool without any payment/stay.

This Iberostar Anthelia on the Adeje coast in SW Tenerife really is a great hotel and nicely positioned close to the sea. Sometime in August 2019 I booked seven rooms on a Half Board basis for Christmas for my extended family of 10 adults and 5 children. The booking was for a mix of normal and interconnecting rooms, single and double beds and all with side sea views. I also asked that we be in the same block, reasonably close together and in or near the top floor. Some would say I was quite demanding and surprise surprise, when we turned up on December 20th everything was exactly as requested - exactly.
After arrival, I had another request, which some hotels find difficult to meet - a table for 15 for dinner every night. Not only was that not a problem, but we were asked to pick an area of the dining room and select a preferred table configuration - square or rectangular. Subsequently we found that the rooms were good, the service was both efficient and friendly, the food and wine were excellent and there was no extra charge for the special Christmas Eve and Christmas day menus. In addition to the usual turkety and ham, they offered unlimited lobster, crab, prawns, scallops and even suckling pig. And yes, vegetarians and vegans would have no complaints about their fare either.
In summary, an excellent hotel with great food and service, five swimming pools, good evening shows, a fitness centre and more. We will soon book for next Christmas and perhaps something in between. And the prices? Not bad at all for what you get.

In addition to the usual turkety and ham, they offered unlimited lobster, crab, prawns, scallops and even suckling pig. And yes, vegetarians and vegans would have no complaints about their fare either.
In summary, an excellent hotel with great food and service, five swimming pools, good evening shows, a fitness centre and more. We will soon book for next Christmas and perhaps something in between. And the prices? Not bad at all for what you get.

After being transferred to this hotel as our originally booked one is closed, we were not left disappointed one bit! The hotel is completely spotless, staff are friendly and the COVID restrictions in place made us feel safer than we do at home.
We would like to add a special thanks to Tyler, Alberto, Antonio, Diego and Jesus for their continuous customer service at the pool and lobby bars, and making our holiday as good as it was. They all really looked after me, being 25 weeks pregnant, constantly checking I’m okay or if I needed anything! Also a special thanks to Francisco and Abel in the restaurant for their impeccable waiting service.
Another amazing addition for us was the photoshoot we decided to have, Rita is lovely and our photos are a very treasured memory! I would highly recommend anyone having the photoshoot if you have a chance, it doesn’t take long at all and there’s no pressure to buy anything.
I also want to take the chance to praise the hotel and management on the dealing with a very drunk resident who was causing a scene one evening in the lobby bar. The situation was dealt with very quietly and assertively.
The only slight negatives I have for this hotel are that the food was slightly repetitive and fishy, especially if you are fussy or pregnant and have a limit on what you can eat anyway. Secondly we had to pay €55 extra to keep our hotel room past 11am on the day we left. There is a baggage room but as we weren’t leaving until 3:30pm we wanted the facilities to have a shower and have our externally bought lunch as our all inclusive finished at 12pm. We thought that this was a little excessive given that the hotel isn’t at full capacity but it didn’t make a big difference to our holiday and we are grateful that the option was there.
We hope to return to the hotel next year, thank you again for a wonderful holiday!

I went with my daughters and we all had the most splendid time. From the moment you enter the spacious check-in area you are swept away with the welcome and general feeling of the hotel. Difficult to pick out any favouite = all the staff we so pleasant and helpful. Truly, nothing is too much trouble. We had wonderful rooms on the ground floor facing the sea - I am afraid of praising the hotel more (and I could) in case it is too popular and we cant get rooms when we want them. And we will be back! Carolina was certainly a delight with her mini worshops and I learnt how to make my own perfume! As I said in the title - this hotel is Simply Splendid.
