May I begin by thanking Valle Del Este Resort for hosting a highly successful golf trip for our group of 10 (5 couples).
I find it difficult to understand the previous comments regarding the Staff at the hotel. We were treated superbly throughout. The rooms were serviced in an excellent manner throughout, food at breakfast and dinner was of a very good standard for buffet style with a freshly cooked option of meat or fish each evening and a range of other options, and the restaurant and bar staff went out of their way to help in any way they could. All staff were extremely friendly and polite throughout and made us feel most welcome.
The course is superb and will be further enhanced when remedial work is completed on the 3rd and 8th fairways. It is a real test no matter what level of golfer you are! A slight problem had occurred re' booking of 5 buggies for 5 days but the manager of the golf complex was able to sort this quickly for us without any fuss to our satisfaction. The only query I would have is that if you are hiring 25 buggies over the course of a week should there be some discount as there appears to be in golf fees?
However, may I thank Val Del Este and all its staff for helping to ensure we enjoyed a memorable week of golf in Spain.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We were back there for New Year's Eve from December 30, 2023 to January 1, 2024.
The front desk service is very good. The young man at the front desk in the morning was a local so he gave us a lot of useful information about the beach and restaurants. The hotel has a beach club called Marau Beach Club, which is a very nice place.
The New Year's Eve dinner was also great: the buffet was huge, so there was no need to rush, it was more than enough! Take your time :-)
The dance party is just downstairs, very well organized and you will dance with live music from a very good band!
The walls and ceilings of the hotel and rooms need to be renovated or repainted, which can make guests feel more comfortable and more like a four-star hotel.
This is the only negative I could give the hotel 4 out of 5 stars in this review, but Richard Fiske, who was in charge of the reservation, made me to add one star to the hotel. He was amazing throughout the entire booking process!
Oh, if you book on the hotel's website, you can use the hotel's spa for free. So don't forget to bring your swimsuit and swimming cap.
We love the golf course at this hotel: it isn't that easy but at least I played quite well during my first stay. But this time, we were not happy! We started around 13.30 on the 31st, and we didn’t even finish! ! ! One reason was that there were too many players, and the club arranged the time for each group very tightly. Another reason was that some players were very selfish: they only cared about completing at their own pace, but did not make any effort to speed up so that other groups behind them could also finish the course before dark!
Lessons: 1/Start at 12 o’clock at the latest, 2/The golf club cannot arrange such a tight schedule!
All in all we would go there again to play golf and would love to see the rooms renovated and a more reasonable schedule.

A wonderful place. Excellent facilities, friendly staff and a (rather challenging and fun) golf course in pristine condition. If I had to mention something to improve, it would be the choice of music in the pool area, golf pub and other common areas (but particularly in the pool area when the kids activities take place). It’s almost exclusively reggaeton with lyrics that are explicit, sexist and highly offensive. Frankly, I don’t want my children to constantly hear messages about ladies shaking their behinds or how satisfying the singers find the very explicit actions of said ladies in their bedrooms. I understand the staff (and probably children too) find the music catchy and festive but, if one pays attention to the lyrics, they are truly revolting. I’d strongly recommend some variety… perhaps something actually Spanish? otherwise, a really great experience at the resort

Nice location on a golf course, good facilities like the spa and gym, but extrem greedy management. No coffee/ tea making facilities in the room, just one 33cl bottle of water at the first day, charges apply to use the safe.
The breakfast was poor, only 4 different cold cuts, same for cheese and fruit, and all the rather cheap versions. The worse of all were plenty of birds flying around inside the indoor breakfast area, sitting on tables and chairs, and staff not doing anything about it.
I certainly expect a much better service in a 4-star hotel.

Dear Alf. First of all, we would like to thank you for your stay in our Resort, as well as for taking a few minutes to leave us your opinion on our profile. We agree with you that our location is unique if you want to spend a some days off in our quiet location, surrounded by nature, where you can play golf, paddle tennis, enjoy our spa and just 10 minutes away from the nearest towns such as Vera, Garrucha or Mojacar. Please, be aware that the coffee machine/ kettle are available in all our suites, in case it is of your interest in a future stay, you can book this room category. In reference to the bottle of water, it is a courtesy that the hotel gives you upon arrival. In case you want to buy more, you have at your disposal the minibar service (under request), room service and even a supermarket in our shopping center. As for our breakfast, we are really surprised, as it is one of the highlights of our guests. We have a wide assortment of products in order to satisfy the varied tastes of all our guests. In reference to the birds, we are in a natural environment and many of our guests leave the door open when they go out to have breakfast on the buffet terrace, so on rare occasions, a bird can enter, and our colleagues, of course, take it out as soon as possible. We are sorry that you had such a negative experience, as it does not match with the majority of our clients, neither with the daily effort that our team puts in so that all our guests have a five-star experience. My family go on holiday to this part of Spain every year and it’s a good opportunity to play some golf for me. Unfortunately as a solo, this isn’t really practical given you have to pay for the full green fees + a buggy ( essential in the heat here). Both combined is almost 90 euros, quite a lot to spend on a round of golf.
It would be great to see them cater for solos with a deal of some sort. Maybe green fees + half the cost of a buggy? Maybe buggy thrown in for free in the hotter periods of the season?
Lovely course otherwise and I imagine it would be good value with the 4 ball offers they have.

Good service, rooms are nice and clean and comfortable.
The Golf course is well maintained. We rented a buggy and
it had a nice gps which showed the way to thge holes and outlining of the holes. Nice.
Only bad experience was that the crew in the Golf Bar was quite few persons, only one or two waiters during lunchtime. These poor persons worked very hard, tehy were evne running to pick up drink and food för guest.

Really enjoyed a 2 night stay and the golf was excellent- service was superb in the clubhouse. Had to pay extra for view over the golf course for us it was worth it but there was work being done outside our room so it was noisy. Toiletries are minimal so bring plenty. Rooms are ok but the bathrooms are definitely showing signs of age and in need of updating. Buffet was very good and we found the majority of staff there very pleasant- the only downside (for us) was allowing guests to smoke on the terrace whilst people are eating. Lunch was excellent in the bar and poolside bar also very good. The bar in the evening was just ok - service without a smile and short measures. Overall good but some tweaks needed but not enough to stop us returning

Just returned and have to say it was a different but still relaxing experience. New regulations adhered to. Staff were excellent throughout the hotel in particular in the restaurant and bar area under the changed circumstances. Congratulations to the new restaurant manager Pepe. We are not golfers but looked like a lot of work done on the course.

Spacious room with t.v. and mini-fridge (could be cooler). Comfortable bed. Bathroom o.k. with strong shower. Good sized balcony with table and chairs. Food in restaurant at breakfast time was average snd in the evening was extremely poor.....didn't expect to only have hot food choice of hot dogs, burgers or pizzas or rabbit stew on one occasion. Service in the restaurant was practically non-existent. €6,80 euros for a bottle of water seems rather extreme.External areas were spacious and in good condition. The golf course was a pleasant experience. Stayed here last year as well. Sorry to say the overall experience wasn't so good this year.

Recently a group of us stayed in this hotel, booking multiple rooms. The hotel is nice but it is tired. Lovely big outdoor swimming pool and nice surroundings. Lots of choice at breakfast. Rooms were a good size. Staff are very hit and miss. Disappointingly upon checkout, each of us had meals/wine added to our bills - which we had not consumed. Interestingly, upon challenging the staff on this - they quickly accepted it was wrong and amended the bill. Please draw your own conclusions.

Dear user,
At the moment, the price of the green fee is 49€, but we have dynamic rates.
Indeed, you should book your tee time in advance, as our golf course is really busy.
We have cavity back clubs available for hire in our Proshop at Valle del Este. We offer Wilson D350 irons with a speed sole to help get the ball in the air. We do however only have them available in regular steel shafts. The rental price of these irons are 35€/18 holes and if not we can also offer you a more economic option with our Wilson Hdx irons with graphite shafts at 20€/ 18 holes.
