It was amazing from beginning to end. The lovely girl who checked us in was sweet and accommodating. They went out of their way to call us and offer an early check-in knowing we'd be on the island from the morning ferry. That was a incredibly thoughtful thing to do. When we arrive we were checked in, everything about the room was perfectly explained and we were left to complete privacy. I have no idea is the hotel was full or empty as the rooms are far enough away and so quite that we didn't see very many people, it was amazing.
We booked the Sunset apartment and it was clean and neat, had everything you need, complimentary rum punch, a kitchen, tv and internet, the use of a cell while on island and a view that can only be seen to be believed.
All we could see was rolling green hills, cliffs, the ocean and all the local birds. We got the sunset of a lifetime even though we arrived on an overcast day, then in the morning walked to the cliff to see the amazing sunset.
I cannot wait to go back again. We could see ourselves making this

We stayed at the Solstice Villa in September and it was an incredible trip. It is a journey to get to Dragon Cay but it’s well worth it. Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and even made a pitcher of rum punch they left for us in the fridge. They provided a 5 gallon jug of filtered water which was very helpful. The area is secluded and the beach is basically private since the area is so isolated. There’s a friendly black cat who would greet us each morning and evening on the front porch. We were told we could use the laundry facilities below the house but never ended up needing to. I often will opt for a more all inclusive type experience but I’m so glad I decided to stay at this more secluded property. This is definitely on my list of places I would love to visit again!

We stayed at the Sunrise cottage and had the most amazing time! The setting is spectacular, the studio cottage was clean and well equipped. They even provided us with beach chairs. And the views just can’t be beat. It was remote and I felt a million miles away, but all my creature comforts were taken care of. The kitchen had everything we needed. You do need to provide your own food, the cafe is only open from 11am - 3pm! So you have to be ready to make your own breakfast and dinner. Enjoying coffee on my deck and watching the sunrise over the ocean was definitely a highlight of our trip.

The beauty of this place, it that there is nothing to do - explore the beach, read a book, and relax in this stunning location. An experience I won’t soon forget.

Dragon Cay is literally the perfect location if you are looking for peace, quiet, beauty and a place to revel in nature's paradise. My best friend and I booked a trip and stayed in the Sunrise cottage, which is a very short stroll down a path to both the restaurant on the property and more importantly the beach. The landscape is unique in that there is soft sandy beachy areas, as well as rocky shore lines, cliffs, and more. Tunnels in the limestone cliffs that lead to secret beaches, and lots of lizards jumping out of the way as you walk the property.

We had the pleasure of meeting the black cat who appeared out of nowhere all the time to hang out with us :-)

The restaurant menu is a bit limited, only open from 11-4pm - but the people are very nice and helpful. We made sure to pick up some groceries on North Caicos to cover our other meals.

Demara and Marilyn were great help in planning our trip and getting us settled when we arrived. Thank you so much!

Dragon’s Cay was the most magical location for our long dreamed of trip. The view from our house must be up there with some of the most spectacular in the whole Caribbean! Seawings House on the resort was perfect for us with easy access to the beach and walking trail and also to the cool Mudjin Harbour bar and restaurant (open every lunchtime and will do delivery dinners). It was also very well equipped and spacious and the hosts were delightful and helpful.
Middle Caicos is a true Desert Island’ with little development (remember this when planning your itinerary and meals).
The ferry from Provo is fast and organised - a great way to enjoy a trip out on the ocean.
We loved every single second - thank you all at Dragon’s Cay

The location by Mudgin Harbour will be remembered for many years. The iridescence of the ocean is like a peacock feather. It hard to distinquish where the horizon is and the sea begins. Enjoyed a quiet time at Sea Wings with close family. It is an amazing location with far reaching views. The two bedroom property was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Staff at the resort were so accommodating to our requests and welcoming. The Mudgin restaurant on-site at Dragon Cay resort serves delicious food, especially the jerk burgers. Nearby at Conch Bar, Sea View café cooked us the freshest snapper with creole sauce. I recommend staying at Dragon Cay for its unique peace, tranquility and beauty.

What an amazingly beautiful and special place! We stayed in Sunset Cottage for two nights in May 2021. The cottage was lovely. The view was amazing and the sunsets were glorious. The cottage was brightly furnished, extremely clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable week stay (or more). The screened in porch was wonderful to relax on in the evenings, and the resort grounds were gorgeous! The restaurant was open from 11-3 daily and the employees and the food were outstanding! The grouper we had that was cooked by Jonas was the best food we had on our 7-day trip to Turks & Caicos and Brenda and Licy in the restaurant were phenomenal people! There are not a lot of bars or restaurants open on Middle & North Caicos, so we ordered dinner from the Mudjin Bar & Grill both nights we were there. For travelers looking for a beautiful, peaceful and special getaway, I cannot recommend Dragon Cay Resort enough. It is a very special place, located on very special islands.

Dragon Cay Resort was the perfect place to put your toes in the sand, listen to the waves and enjoy the panormic view of the ocean. We enjoyed the quiet island atmosphere after being surrounded by tourists on Provo. The layout of the studio cottage made it feel big and had everything we needed. The staff went out of their way to accomodate our requests (e.g., early check-in, use of grill). The Mudjin Harbor restaurant was a short walk down the stone pathway and the food was declicious for both lunch and dinner. We were lucky to be there for "Lobsterval" where the griled lobster was actually bigger and better than in Maine. Groceries on the island were limited but there is a good wine/liquor shop in Bottle Creek with reaonsable prices, so no need to buy that on Provo. We recommend buying any meat/veggies on Provo to bring in a cooler on the Ferry. The restaurant was open for lunch every day but was only open for dinner on weekends. The resort's stone pathways lead to look out points and 2 beaches. Cottage came with beach umbrella, chairs and towels. To get to the hidden beach, follow the path down through the cave to find a fabulous beach where there is likely no one on it. It is rare that you can go somewhere for a few nights and leave feeling like you've been there for a week! Middle Caicos is laid back, the people are very friendly. There is nothing to do but relax, so if you want to get away from it all, this is the place do go!

We stayed in Sunset Cottage. It was clean, quaint, and quiet. The hiking around the property is beautiful. Mudjin Harbor is beautiful and the little cafe had a great deck and good food. They stayed open late on the Sunday we arrived so that we could get an early dinner.
Both North and Middle Caicos are very remote, so it is important to come prepared with provisions. The Cottage has everything you need to cook with (utensils, pans etc...) but small stores on the islands are limited.
Still one of the most peaceful places we have stayed.

My husband and I had the most perfect trip to Dragon Cay Resort!! It was worth the time and effort to make the trek out to Middle Caicos. We had lunch at the restaurant most days, and made dinner in Sunrise Cottage each night (with groceries that we ordered in Provo and carried over on the ferry). A car rental is a must.

If you like lots of people, luxurious accommodations, and lots of things to do - this is not the trip for you. If you like hours alone on the most gorgeous beaches, with nights in a (sparkling clean) airy beach cottage — this is the trip and this is the place for you!!

We drove to Bambarra Beach early in the mornings to enjoy the solitude on that beach before the first ferry arrived; we toured Conch Bar Caves (quick but worth the time in our opinions), did a quick walk through nearby Indian Cave, drove to North Caicos for lunch and Pumpkin Bluff Beach (off the beaten path, but worth the time).

Dragon Cay Resort was the perfect home base - remote, but not so much that it felt unsafe. The stars at night were beautiful . The staff was very helpful and accommodating - but we didn’t really need anything from them because everything was in order when we arrived! Secret Beach was our favorite. We hope to come back soon before everyone finds out about this place!

Jennifer, The ferry is not strict on the 25lbs. I don't know of anyone that they have imposed that charge on. There are 4 small family run grocery stores on North. They have all the basics you would need. However, if you are having to have that special brand of greek yogurt and granola...you better get that on Provo. They don't have special items. For example they will have yogurt but it might all be peach...
