The Magani Hotel and Spa is lauded by guests for its excellent amenities, including cozy rooms, a delectable breakfast, and a serene pool area, though attention to maintenance has been mentioned. Its prime location is a stone's throw from the beach and local attractions, yet it remains a peaceful retreat. Spacious rooms with picturesque views add to the value, complemented by the staff's commendable service. While most areas are spotless, some guests suggest there's room for improvement in cleanliness. Overall, the hotel's tranquil atmosphere and reasonable pricing make it a popular choice.

The hotel is set back from a busy street lined with shops selling beachgoers T-shirts and tourist tchotchkes. After our 30+ hour journey, it was an oasis of calm and serenity from the moment we arrived and were met with cool towels and handed a passionfruit drink with a lemongrass straw. There was a basket of complimentary fruit, it was a very nice welcome.

Our room was on the 3d floor, with a narrow balcony overlooking a courtyard dominated by the large pool. There are plenty of lounge chairs, and a fully staffed swim up bar that quickly served up their daily special, a quesadilla with a Bintang.

It was a quick walk to the nice wide beach, where we enjoyed a nice afternoon watching the sunset with a Bintang in hand, atop bean bags provided by the local beach snack shacks. For dinner options there was no shortage of local warungs within walking distance.

I highly recommend this hotel, and plan to book here again for a few days on our return trip to the Denpasar airport.

We stayed at the Magani for 10 nights and would thoroughly recommend it, They gave us a room on the 2nd and 3rd floor with twins beds for the boys. It was kept immaculately clean and they serviced it everyday even Christmas Day. The buffet breakfast with the egg station has a good variety to suit most people. Two for one cocktails are great value at the swim up bar. We took advantage of a combo special for a massage at the spa and 2 course dinner as it was great value. Staff are so friendly and helpful would definitely stay here again!

We stayed a week in a deluxe room on the 5th floor. Our balcony overlooked a side street and was quiet and private. Our room was clean with plenty of space. Included in our accomodation package was 2 free cocktails a day, breakfast daily and airport pickup and drop off. I would recommend including these again if they are offered. Cocktails are usually around the $13 each. The breakfast is excellent with a great selection of fresh fruit, juices, cooked breakfast, eggs made to order. They even serve proper coffee which is included. Some of the lower floors have balconies overlooking the pool which means you can be seen on your balcony from the certain areas. The wifi is also excellent and free. If you plan on travelling outside the resort download the Gojek app (there local transport service) and save yourself a fortune in transport and the hassle of bartering. I would stay in the hotel again - sandwiched between Kuta and Seminyak you have the best of both worlds being there.

This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at Great location within walking distance to Garlic lane, Legian beach. Staff are so friendly every single person acknowledges you. Noting is too much trouble! Stayed in Premier room with pool. Can’t fault the rooms so clean and bed comfortable and great size. Will definitely stay there again

Disappointed with Magani Hotel and Spa. The whole world is going through a Virus Pandemic causing entire countries to close their borders to everyone. Airlines to stop flying internationally yet we contact The Magani Hotel and Spa about the 3 rooms we have booked and paid for in October and were advised, 1) we get a credit but lose 1 nights accomodation per room as a penalty or 2) we can have a refund but will be charged a 50% penalty. I understand under normal circumstances when people just cancel that this is acceptable but when this is well out of our hands and there is nothing we can do to get ourself to Bali in the foreseeable future. Penalising returning customers during a virus Pandemic is Disgusting. We are not even allowed to fly to Bali 🤷‍♂️ pull your heads in Magani, refund our money

I couldn't recommend this hotel enough we are so grateful we stayed here, thank you for making our stay so memorable.
Our son is actually going to Bali for his 21st in June 2020 & is staying here again... he didn't even bother to look at any other hotel as he just loved his stay at The Magani

We Stayed at the Magani in December for ten days and it was great. It’s a solid four star hotel in a fabulous location, that’s well priced. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are lovely. If you are okay with it being more of a hotel than resort , then it’s the perfect place to stay! I particularly liked the fact that it’s so central - it’s across from garlic lane and you can walk to all the popular Legian restaurants and the famous Legian beach.

We requested adjoining rooms (as we have young children) and pool views and were lucky to receive both requests, Thankyou Magani! We ate Breakfast in the hotel restaurant everyday ( mozzarella) and it was very good. Rooms are modern, well equipped and clean. Balconies are a nice area for relaxing on. We used the Day spa several times and it’s excellent, gym was also good. Overall it’s a good hotel - the only downside I can think of are our rooms were a bit noisy at night as they backed on to Jalan Bene and pool size is smaller than most hotels. But having said that, the pool is a great temperature, has a swim up bar and always had enough sunbeds. It also had a great atmosphere. I would stay here again.

The staff are wonderful and always accommodating. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning with a great selection of food and drinks. The Mozzarella restaurant located within the hotel served wonderful food at great prices with a nice variety of drinks. I'd recommend the Mango smoothies, loved them. Room service was priced nicely with quick service. We loved staying in room 1006 in the plunge pool room for those quick swims to cool down.

At $1800 a week for a plunge pool room some maintenance issues could be addressed and fixed for a more pleasant stay. Furnishings could be steam cleaned, mattress and pillows marked and look to be getting old and should be replaced, water pools in the shower causing mould on the seals, toilet fittings could be replaced and air conditioning vents cleaned.

Such a great hotel. Arrived at 5pm to a quick check in with refreshing welcome drinks and cold towels. Room was clean, very spacious with a large breezy balcony that had 2 comfy cushioned chairs and a side table. Smoking is allowed on the balcony.

In the room itself there was an L-shped sofa beside the very comfortable king sized bed. A/C and fridge were cold. Shower was hot and water pressure was good. TV had lots of cable channels. No bathtub but that wasn't an issue for us. Towels were nice, big and fluffy. Housekeeping came every morning and any request we had was attended to promptly. All (i mean all!) the staff there were super nice and friendly.

We were given 2 wifi passwords and each pw could be used for 2 devices. So 4 devices in all.

Breakfast was good too. Not a wide spread but tasted delicious including the egg station. We could even request for cappuccino or whatever instead of the usual black coffee. Warmers with pork items were placed separately so that was a thoughtful gesture.

Anyway I would definitely come back to Magani again..and again..and again :)

Wife and I on our break (from work) was recommended The Magani from friends, well, we loved it. We booked a private pool room on the ground floor. Main pool was literally 6 steps from our front door while we had our own private plunge pool on the other side of our room with motorised retractable shade. ( I'm lead to believe there are 2 depths of plunge pools, 1 @ 1.2m and 1 @ 0.8m so make sure you follow this up if it's a concern to you ). The resort, to us, is in a great location to shopping, dining and nightlife. You can do as little our as much as you like. We will definitely be back🍻🍻🍻

It does have a deeper end approaching the pool bar, the depth isn’t great, I think no more than about 5’. Shallow end about 3’ & the little kids pool is separate (although they are together with water features separating them).

Hi claret I have booked again to stay at Magani March 12-15. I can ask then what they will offering on Nyepi Day and operating hours and report back to you. Alternatively you could email Magani and get a quicker response. Nothing will be open outside and just in case you are not aware, you are confined to the hotel anyway. Hop this helps. Richard.

Apologies Rodney I have only just seen this message. I believe you can exchange money at the hotel for a reasonable rate but there is a good one just out of the door to the hotel to the left a few shops down with a glass front. The rate was bfluctuating between 10200 to 10400
