An Absolute Awesome Lahaina Experience!
Sherry went out of her way to accommodate unique travel problems I had. Super kind, Aloha giving spirit. The 14"ft ceiling Bedroom was well appointed in stylish Hawaiian motif. They provide a bicycle, snorkel gear for use if one so chooses~etc. Directly across the street~ a 3 min walk, is a laid back beautiful world class beach. Parking is directly in front in ones designated spot,... Walking into Lahaina 'town' for a nice dinner, groceries, or perhaps a Board rental is only a 5-8 min, scenic walk.

Her son was a wealth of local insights into attractions, special beaches, surf, snorkel spots... Thanks John James and Sherry for a Terrific Experience! Can't wait to return!~Scott Charlson

The owner Sherry & her family are the warmest most welcoming group of people. The inn is in the PERFECT location not right in the middle of town but just close enough to walk for dinner (5 min walk) and literally steps away from the most beautiful quiet beach. If you like quiet, quaint and off the beaten path this place is for you.

Honestly could not leave higher reviews, or recommend the Old Lahaina any more...we loved our stay and felt so at home. Sherry and her crew were so hospitable and catered to whatever need we might have had for the entire 15 days we stayed. We loved the fact that they are like literally across the street from a beautiful, chill beach, and even have bikes, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, to use at your leisure. The sunsets from their beach are magical, and the feeling you get from Sherry and her lovely crew was simply “you’re family here.” They even took some amazing photos for our engagement/wedding invitations and they refused to accept any payment for taking them. Sherry, we can’t wait to see you all again! Aloha.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple nights in early July, 2021. Given the last-minute nature of our reservation (during high tourist season, no less), the staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Unfortunately, we had to return home to Oʻahu a night early because of a family emergency, and while I understood the refund policy, given the situation - requesting a partial refund did not seem totally absurd (we even offered to help clean the room so that it could be booked that same day!).

When I asked the owner, Sherry, for the refund, she said she understood and would do what she could. I never heard from her again. I called to follow up multiple times after that, and she was always busy. Reception assured me each time that sheʻd call back, but of course, she never did.

Given that Sherry drove a Tesla, was very well dressed, and had just come back from vacation in Mexico when I met her, I know she wasn't hurting for cash (and, as I said, it was tourist high season, so I know the placed was booked out). The refusal to refund in light of a family emergency felt pretty gross and money-grabby.

Based on this experience, I'm not sure I'd recommend Old Lahaina house.

Sherry and Tianna were very friendly! Took the time to show us around. Very close to the beach and walking distance to downtown Lahaina.
The house had beach chairs, snorkeling gear, bikes, beach towels, a pool and pretty much all you needed.
Very clean and lovely rooms. We had a coffee maker, small refrigerator, blow dryer and microwave in our room.
Loved the location. Away from tourists and in a neighborhood friendly area.
Thank you. We look forward to going back.

We spent 6 nights in a room that made me feel like I was in a Hawaiian home; the art was amazing. Sherry and Tiana were very friendly and gracious. Our room was comfortable, clean and well stocked -- fridge, a microwave, beach towels, coffee maker and even the cream and sugar! They have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. OLH is walking distance to a beach, Front Street, and the docks for cruises. Very private, residential area so not touristy which, for me, is a plus! The pool and lush plants around the porch area are very tropical. Highly recommend Old Lahaina.
Maria, staff member, drove us by shuttle from the airport. She check us in, showed us around, making sure we knew how to find the beach, and had everything we needed. Super kind spirit of Aloha. Mahalo to Sherry and her entire staff.

My wife Anna called several places and spoke to a few people. After speaking with Sherri, my wife told me this place is it. I asked, why? My wife loved how Sherri spoke on the phone. Needless to say, we booked 2 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. She greeted us with warm “Aloha” the place felt like home away from home. Another guest was celebrating their wedding anniversary and invited other guests including our selves to have dinner with them. We had an amazing time, socializing with them while having a delicious home cooked meal.

The location was perfect! A block from the beach and just blocks from a variety of shops and restaurants with many quality food to choose from. We’re very happy we found Sherri and her Ohana house. Until next time.

Aloha Nui Loa & Much Mahalos!!!
Daniel and Anna

We felt so welcome and taken care of by Sherry and the whole staff. They made sure we knew what to expect, had everything we needed, and went the extra mile. As part of the welcome, they walked us down to the beach and showed us how to get around! our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We had coffee on the lanai overlooking the pool. The location is great, the pool is super inviting. There are all the toys you could want for beach fun. umbrella, snorkel gear, boogie board, etc. We even had a beach bag for our towels!

It’s like staying at your second favorite aunt’s house. It’s sort of clean, there’s some water damage in the bathroom, there are places in the house you’re “not allowed to sit”, but hey it’s a place to stay.

Especially so if happens to be the aunt who is married to the creepy uncle. Every time I exited or entered the house there was always a lone dude sitting around outside.

My husband and I reserved a room for Labor Day weekend. We were notified while making our reservation that "breakfast is no longer included," which is a big bummer when you think you're booking a bed-and-breakfast. We shrugged it off and booked anyway since the place looked adorable on their website. We were pretty stunned when we arrived - and not in a good way. The common areas were pitiful and dirty....a broken down, rusty stove sitting off the main pathway to the guestrooms, screendoors bent and hanging off their hinges and ashtrays piled high with ancient butts. Right outside our door (as in, we had to literally step around it to even GET to our door) was a pile of the owner's stuff...an old toilet plunger, a vacuum cleaner, a pair of old sneakers, beer cans and random stacks of junk. Inside the room, we found the filthiest carpet I've ever seen (complete with a giant iron burn), a toilet that wouldn't stop running, faded/worn sheets, a mascara smudge on my pillowcase, scratchy/ratty towels and a section of the floor that was missing its carpeting and had been covered up with a towel. And the very loud air conditioner is positioned right next to your head, so good luck sleeping with that thing rattling in your ear all night. The website photo of our room features lovely flower arrangements, a cool comforter and a classy wine glass set. What's ACTUALLY there is a ridiculous, beat-up ceramic zebra, a giant fake plant that had never seen a dust cloth and a tacky, faded bedspread that looked to be about 5 years past its prime. We stayed one night and never went back even though we had reservations for 3 nights. We knew we couldn't get a refund, but we didn't care. It was THAT bad! As for the hospitality and customer service...well, never mind...there ISN'T any. Seriously, it's a dump!
