Our unit and the property are very nice. There is not alot to do in Birch Bay, however the view of the beach and the walking promenade (new) are very nice. We drove to the Canadian border in Blaine. The border was closed because of the Covid 19 virus.You do have to pay extra for the wifi which is unusual. We also spent time in Bellingham and the surrounding area. We had a very nice vacation.

2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit was spacious, and they have a Murphy Bed in the living/dining area rather than a crappy fold out bed in a couch. DW, stacked washer and dryer. Plenty of hangers for 2, might not be enough for 4 or 6.

We went across the border into Canada twice during our stay at Birch Bay, with no hassles at the border crossings. Birch Bay is nice, but it was close to freezing so we didn't get to do anything in the bay. The resort was clean and well equipped. However, they charge for WIFI, which is free at most other resorts, including at our home resort. And they charge $13.56 daily for taxes and fees which came to $95 for the week. We never had to pay these fees before! The front desk and Worldmark desk seems over-staffed as they seemed to have from 2-6 people. And the timeshare sales people are too pushy.

It*s unfortunate that a family going on vacation is forced to go through this type of pressure when checking into this resort. We felt pressured to go through their sale pitch in order to get our room keys. I refused and had to get pushy with them in order to get our room keys. Finally after several firm NO from me we were given our keys but they continued to call our room 3-4 times each day to try to persuade us to listen to their presentation. This was upsetting and ruined our vacation.

My husband and I stayed a week at the resort and had a wonderful time!! Our 2 bedroom suite was beautiful and the kitchen was fully stocked as we cooked our meals daily. The fireplace was used daily and we absolutely enjoyed having it as it was in the mid 30’s during our stay. The staff were excellent and provided any assistance as needed. The resort was located across from the lake and several restaurants & coffee shops. We walked around the lake and felt extremely comfortable and safe. The resort is located only 6 miles from the Canadian border so we spent several days exploring and hiking in Beautiful Canada! If we ever are back in Washington we will definitely return to this resort!!!

The facility and staff were great. Our unit was a good size, clean and comfortable. Our family especially enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool. The location of the complex just across the road from the beach made walking the beach easy.

Everything was excellent; staff, unit, grounds and location were A1. Even though this was off season, the beach walk was great and the closeness to Ferndale and Bellingham make this a resort to enjoy at any time of the year. The 2 bedroom does have a Murphy bed so you could sleep 6 but it is large enough for 2 couples easily. Lovely balcony with new furniture as well as a large BBQ for your individual use which is not common. CJs restaurant is terrific and within walking distance.

This Worldmark Birch Bay resort is very quiet and peaceful resort in a convenient location. Very good for unwinding from chaotic and noisy life. Enjoyable beach walk! Our stay was enjoyable and refreshing.

We always enjoy staying at this WorldMark and this time was no exception. We enjoy not only the area surrounding the facility but just across the border into British Colombia as well. We were in a 2-bedroom unit with a sofa and a Murphy bed as well, so we could have had a family reunion with the space available. We found everything we needed to prepare meals and the staff was very helpful in getting us set up with whatever we needed. We'll stay again here soon, I'm sure.

This is not a timeshare review. We booked a unit for a family gathering arriving on Friday and Checking out on Sunday through Expedia.com. Three hours before check in time they contacted us that they were overbooked and cancelling our paid reservation. They tried to blame Expedia for the issue which I thought was pretty irresponsible. Expedia found us accommodation at another hotel but it was over 30 minutes away; nowhere near the attractions we were planning to visit. The reservation / check in manager apologized but said it happens often with Expedia so buyer beware.
