A stay at this family run hotel is an experience that very few hotels can match. Many of the guests are repeat visitors and this is not surprising as the welcome and hospitality offered is outstanding. The three beautiful girls on reception have personalities that match their good looks. The good humour of Michele, the highly efficient and versatile waiter, is infectious. The cooking is simply superb with plenty of top quality organic fruit and vegetables from the proprietor’s allotment accompanying top quality meat and seafood. I also slept like a proverbial log as the air is so fresh and clean. The hotel has its own volcanic hot spring supply which can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. The hotel can arrange hassle free and reasonably priced transfers from Naples airport directly to the hotel. If you would like a really relaxing break from the hurly burly of modern life then I can highly recommend Villa Janto.

I've just returned from Villa Jantó, and I can honestly say, without a doubt, that I have never enjoyed a holiday as much, or stayed anywhere as lovely as Villa Jantó. I have never eaten so well in my life - the food here is amazing, really authentic and delicious Italian food, all home-made and cooked from home-grown ingredients. Even the yoghurt at breakfast is home-made every morning. Antonio and Maria and their two daughters, Martina and Francesca, are all so friendly and helpful, and make you feel so welcome, that it feels more like staying with family or friends than in a hotel. The waiters are also fantastic and great fun. We had a lovely bright spacious room with a little private patio, and the hotel has a great swimming pool with a fantastic thermal mineral pool and natural steam room, all of which help make your stay as relaxing as possible. The garden where the pools and sunbeds are is really scenic, with Mount Epomeo in the background, and lemon trees and beautiful flowers and fresh herbs and chillies all growing in the garden. Ischia is a magical island, and Villa Jantó is a wonderful place. My only regret is that we did not stay longer, but we will definitely be back – am already looking forward to our next visit!

My husband and I recently stayed at Villa Janto at the end of September with some friends from Australia after our son's wedding in Sorrento. We wanted some relaxation and downtime after the celebrations and we could not have chosen better!
Having arrived at the Villa by taxi, we were welcomed on the driveway by Antonio and his helpers, who then offered us coffee and home made cakes before showing us to our clean and comfortable rooms. We then spent a lovely afternoon by the pool and in the sauna and spa pool - bliss! Antonio's delightful daughter had insisted that she bring us a light lunch outside - and with a bottle of wine - perfect!
We could not fault the food - Maria's cooking and menus were all DELICIOUS! My only comment would be that the there was no time between courses to savour the delights! Otherwise, the service from everyone was faultless and the hospitality amazing - as the other reviews all state. Nothing was too much trouble
We, like other guests have mentioned were the only non Italians there which we enjoyed as opposed to so many hotels with no 'locals'.
This family run business offers fantastic value and we would go back in a heart beat.

We stayed at Vila Janto’ for four nights on half board. The main building is surrounded by pleasant gardens and terraces divided into many small areas allowing guests to mingle or find some solitude as they may wish. The family who own the property worked hard to ensure that everybody was comfortable and to foster a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. All the guests sit down to dinner (and lunch, if taken) at the same time which further encourages social interchange. We were the only non-Italian guests and were, we think, the butt of some friendly banter by the waiters however everybody seemed to be laughing with, rather than at, us and we took no offence. The menu for the day’s meals is posted on a blackboard in reception, usually with an alternative that can be ordered. Maria happily accommodated my wife’s gastric intolerance of onions and garlic and we enjoyed all the meals that we ate there trying several dishes that were new to us in the process. Breakfast comprised a variety of sweet, home-cooked delights although we were offered cheese or meat as an alternative if we preferred. We enjoyed returning to the small pool, hydro-massage pool and steamy grotto in the afternoons to relax after sightseeing. We also appreciated the availability to guests of a netbook in the reception area with internet access. Our room, number 37, was on the lower level, below the reception, and was a little dark and old-fashioned. However it was large, having a pair of bunk beds in addition to the double bed, and always very clean. We thought that 50€ per night for bed, breakfast and dinner represented excellent value.

The warm and wonderful family who owns Villa Janto confirmed our decision to stay away from the tourist crowds by visiting Ischia. Antonio and Maria, along with their daughters Francesca and Martina and a large extended family, truly proved that their passion is hospitality by attending to every detail. From the incredible dinners every night featuring pasta fresca, local meats and fish and amazing produce, the suggestions for trips to take including a great boat trip around the island and into our very own "blue grotto", as well as a "picnic" lunch Italian-style at Antonio's brother's agriturismo and vineyard that included panoramic views of Golfo di Napoli. Who needed Capri! Janto also has a thermal pool and sauna as well as spa services. We rented a car but they are happy to provide rides to the ferry and take you to local beaches or towns for the evening passeggiata.

We are a family of four; two young daughters aged 2 and 4 - and this was a perfect destination for us. The hotel and grounds are very lovely - beautiful flowers and trees surrounding the pool and outside terraces. Francesca and Martina are wonderful hosts; their papa looks after things and runs shuttle buses into town and to the beaches, and their mama does the cooking - which is incredibly good. Our girls had an amazing time - we would recommend it highly to anyone. Hoping to go back next year. Ischia is a beautiful island - it was hot in early July but not unbearably so - would recommend Ischia Ponte as a visit; we went to Coco Beach looking out over the rocks of Santa Anna - gorgeous.

I usually let my husband do all the reviews but since becoming a mum I feel the need to write from my point of view. We stayed at 4 hotels during our 3 week holiday and after leaving Villa Janto the next hotel felt stiff and my little girl missed all the attention she got here!

We stayed at Villa Janto for a week beginning of July and I have nothing but positive feedback to write about this lovely place. It felt like staying with relatives and being spoilt.

We arrived tired after leaving Puglia early in the morning and a curious baby that wouldn't sleep more than 30 mins on the trip to Ischia. We were greeted by Francesca who offered us drinks. I'm breastfeeding so I chose water and was given a big bottle of chilled heaven. As the little one was hungry I asked for her food (in a jar, only one she had there) to be heated. After feeding her we were shown to our room (a cot was prepared for our baby) and given a tour around the hotel.

The pool area is wonderful and so tranquil, with a swimming pool, a thermal water pool (which is emptied and cleaned every night) and "La Grotto", a steam sauna. At first look I thought who'd ever use that in this heat! But during our stay we had 2 cloudy and windy days and I was so grateful for the grotto. Pool and beach towels are provided if u need it.

This is a family run business were the daughters, Martina and Francesca, taking care of you at reception and giving you tips on what to do and were to go and chatting with you. Antonio stands for the shuttle sevice and senora Maria the master chef. Tina and Michelli serving you way too much food and entertaining the guests.

My daughter was given so much attention by all the above and the hotel guests! she was properly spoilt and she absolutely loved it, even if she was shy at first.
Maria cooked her organic food every lunch and dinner using everything from their garden and I was surprised to see my little one eat so much.
The same goes for us! I never have secondi in Italy but at Villa Janto you can't say no to the delicious food and omg the home made gelato! My favourite was the watermelon gelato.
The breakfast is a delight with home made cakes, pastries, marmalades, yoghurt anything you want. All organic!
We gained weight during our stay here and you probably will too. But it's worth it as you won't eat like this anywhere else.

I got an ear infection the second day of our stay and Antonio drove me down to the local hospital and waited for me till I was done. Then drove me to the Farmacy, which was closed as it was Sunday, so he drove me to Ischia where they were open. They wouldn't accept Amex so Antonio borrowed me money. I was so grateful for everything he did.
Anywhere else they'd call you a taxi and give you the name of the hospital and you're on your own.
The service at the hospital was quick and good. Can't remember the name of it but if any problems everyone at Villa Janto will help you!

They don't have wi-fi in the rooms which is the best thing ever as it forced my husband away from his "girlfriend": the laptop! He works alot so doesn't spend much time with the little one but here they really bonded!
They provide wi-fi around the bar and restaurant, so for me it was a good thing.
The rooms are good size and towels are changed every day.

Several of the Italian guests were regulars that kept coming back year after year. I'm already looking forward to our next visit here. Thank you all for taking so good care of us!!

1) Departures for Sorrento are provided by the Port of Ischia, 6 km away from the Hotel. 2) To get to the Hotel you can use the bus number 3 which departs from the Port of Ischia. Our stop is "La Rita". Another solution is to take a taxi. 3) On Friday, April 28, you will be able to take a hydrofoil from the Alilauro company of 10.35 for Sorrento. 4) We have a double / twin room with a balcony For more information, do not hesitate to contact us.
