Hotel's Favourite
This is a FAMILY hotel, it's loud. There are kids. It's affiliated with splash lagoon across the road and many guests are there for the water park. We enjoyed our stay. We had 3rd floor 2 queen room facing ihop. Slept great. The only noises we heard were doors shutting (normal at any hotel) and kids running (just bad parenting, no fault of the staff). All staff were extremely pleasant and attentive, especially the desk staff and the man who brought up an extra blanket for my 10yr old who was cold after swimming all day at splash lagoon. We will 100% book again. Same floor and room style. We loved the pool, breakfast was fine (seating was an issue but you can always take it to your room). There were barefoot kids in the breakfast area even though a posted sign clearly said "proper attire required" (once again, bad parenting, not the hotels fault). Our room was clean, the beds are firm...which is what we have at home. Innerspring firm and just right, not the new sponge beds that I can't stand. The sheets were pilled, but the towels were big and soft. Microwave and fridge were handy. Our bathroom was large and modern. The shower could use a grab bar, it is really slippery. The toiletries are small (not built in dispensers as some hotels now have) and after being in chlorine all day we used 2 conditioners each on our hair and it was still hard to detangle. I would suggest bring a bottle from home. We generally stay at holiday inn express when traveling and are used to the big, *use all you need* dispensers of Dove shampoo/conditiner and bodywash so I didn't think to pack stuff, then we forgot to grab conditiner at the store with all the craziness of the water park and getting takeout etc. I like that staff does not enter your room to tidy anything during your stay. If you need products and towels, you just ask at the desk or call. Easy peasy. We keep the room clean ourselves as we would at home. This review is for room 325. See you soon, we had a great time!

My family needed a reconnect and went to Erie pa for four nights. My husband and I went first with our arsinol if Lysol and pillow cases/sheets from home to re clean the room again but satisfyingly enough it apparently was clean-
The pool area was being wiped down consistently , floors washed, elevators doors and counters. The same man we saw throughout the hotel was also wiping down door handles at every chance he could. He had a cloth rag and spray bottle everywhere he went. His extremely pleasant demeanor also made our stay safe and enjoyable. A tense situation was occurring outside and he knew just how to diffuse the tension. It was another shining example to my children that even in a pandemic, great men can lead by example. Thank you to Mario Williams who is worth his weight in 100$ Bills!

We travel to Erie every June for a family trip to Waldameer Amusement Park. Normally we stay at the Clarion Hotel Lake Erie. We love that hotel and location.
It's within walking distance to three very nice restaurants and just up the street from the amusement/water park, and a short drive to the lake. This year when we wanted to stay there (June 11 and 12) their indoor pool was down for repairs. The grandkids really like having an indoor pool to swim in on this trip, so we looked around for another hotel. We were able to get rooms at The Country Inn on Peach Street. It was a lot more money than the Clarion, but we had to swallow and pay up. What we didn't realize was that it was right across the street from Splash Lagoon. What's wrong with that, you ask? Even though Country Inn was $250 a night, rooms across the street at Splash and the adjoining hotels are even higher. So many family groups started pouring in and the indoor pool and area at this hotel is rather small. At one point I would estimate there were 25 children running and screaming from pool to hot tub. The noise level with the high ceilings in there was incredible. We were very happy our room was not one that overlooked the pool. Can't imagine those rooms are very restful while the pool is open. The pool itself waz rather murky but with that many bodies in it, probably to be expected.

Our room was very clean and ready when we arrived (1:30 pm). The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. We wanted adjoining rooms with our daughter and her family and the woman who checked us in was able to switch some bookings around so we had them. That was great!!! The bathroom was roomy and we had big fluffy towels. They offer a free breakfast and although we opted to walk to the IHOP in the next parking lot, we saw people carrying plates to their rooms and the waffles and fruit looked great. You can eat in the room where it's being served, but it was rather small. There is an outdoor patio with a few tables off the pool which has a fire pit and it was nice to sit out there at night after the kids were pooled out.

Would we stay here again? Due to having to drive 15 minutes to the park and not being able to walk to dinner (we ordered pizza Friday night and Grub Hub Saturday night) I doubt it. But if you are looking for someplace for Splash Lagoon, go for it.

I wish I could properly review this properly, but unfortunately I can’t. We had decided on an impromptu trip to Erie, and were excited to find the Country Inn & Suites has vacancy. We try to stay at these hotels whenever possible, so we booked it right away, and once we got the confirmation, we were out the door within the hour.

Erie is about a three hour drive from where we live, so imagine the sinking feeling we got when we pull up to the hotel and it’s closed. Our 9 month old was growing impatient and needed to be out of her car seat. We noticed a sign on the door that said that all of Country Inn & Suites reservations had been moved to the Holiday Inn Express across the street. So we went across the street where the desk attendant there told us that due to low reservations Country Inn & Suites, along with four other hotels, had sent their reservations there. We understand that this is a possibility due to the current situation, but there was no correspondence with us, the customer, from Country Inn. Both my email and my boyfriend’s phone number were on the hotel confirmation, and the only correspondence we received was the continental breakfast currently wasn’t available and that the pool and fitness center were closed. Nothing else. This is where, we feel, the ball was dropped by Country Inn & Suites.

We will continue to stay with Country Inn & Suites, because as I said earlier, we love these hotels, we were just very disappointed in the lack of communication from this location.

This hotel is closed right now. All lights are off and there is a sign that says your reservation will be moved to the Holiday Inn and Suites. The holiday inn and suites is having to accept reservations from 6 of the local hotels that have closed recently.

We stayed years ago when it was Econo lodge. It was getting a bit run down. Radisson took it over a few years ago and renovated. We booked a package through splash lagoon across the street for $200 that included a night here and 2 days at the water park. Just a note currently there is no hotel shuttle to Splash Lagoon as they recently lost their driver. Not hotels fault. It was Halloween weekend so splash lagoon had light crowds and We easily found free parking there. If the weather is cold, you are staying longer than a night for splash and it's a normal busy weekend I would spend more to stay in one of their connected hotels (due to no shuttle). Country inn is clearly affected by a staffing shortage as is everyone else but staff could have bit a little friendlier. Their pool area is the same as years ago and it's a nice pool and hot tub set up just needs to be cleaned better. The rooms were fine they were clean and efficient. The breakfast was good as well we would stay again

Short and simple – if you are looking for a good night’s rest this is not the hotel for you especially if you get a pool view room. I do not understand why they would assign this type of room to an adult without children. It was so unbelievably loud! In addition, there must not be a stich of insulation or sound barrier in the entire hotel. The room was small, and shower is very small with no ventilation – it smelled like mold. No, this hotel is not for me.

If you are not going to splash lagoon stay somewhere else. I want to say I didn’t realize this hotel was across from Splash lagoon when I booked it on the main Radisson website. When I first checked in I was asked to sign this extra agreement for incidentals. I asked if the hotel was rowdy and that’s why I had to sign this. The employee said no it’s just normal. Well some of the rooms have windows to the pool and if you have one on a weekend it’s very loud in your room until 10pm. The employees don’t check the pool or shut it down at 10 either. The pool looks like it’s seen better days. It needs a lot of paint and maintenance. The pool door does not require a keycard so anyone can get in also. The outside door that leads into the stairwell does not lock and anybody can come in. Parents just let their kids climb and jump off of everything in the pool area and some sent their kids to the pool unsupervised. I wouldn’t stay here again especially since the rate was $250 a night and that didn’t even include any splash lagoon rates. I could have stayed somewhere else for cheaper.

The last time I brought my family to this location it was the EconoLodge and was getting pretty run down but we always enjoyed that pool and hot tub. This was no different in the pool and hot tub department. If you ask when you make your reservation they will try to put you close to an exit if you're a smoker. The staff is friendly and offers great insight about the area.
