Most of the hot spring resorts in Laguna require you to rent by groups of 20 pax or more, costing an average of P25k per nite. Only a handful allow Day Tours for small groups of 2 to 5pax and 88 Hot Spring Resort is one of them. They charge an average of USD25 per head for a Day Tour, allowing u to use all the facilities in the resort except the rooms with beds. Open cottages for eating and unloading your baggage are free. The restaurant offers a wide selection of Korean dishes and only about 5 Filipino dishes. The resort is big and beautiful with well manicured gardens and clean as well. Like I said, the place is ideal for us because we only wanted a Day Tour. We did try staying a nite on another occasion but found the rooms a little below standards for the price. I must say the rooms are spacious, but too plain and the en suite toliet facilities are not so clean and are already showing signs of age. The bed mattresses are also rather stiff and uncomfortable. The staff by the way are very friendly and are most eager to help clients to make their stay a pleasant one.

Hostping water pools are good. Needs major improvement on rooms though. They are very old already. They do not pass good quality for real. Pillow and blanket smells bad, kulob smell. Standard room costs 4,600 per night, but actual quality looks 1,500 pesos only. Door knobs on room entrance is very hard to handle, plus the actual door needs replacement. The bathroom and toilet are the worst. Fixtures need replacement. Parang nasa horror flick.

My family went to a day trip to this resort. We were supposed to stay overnight but they were fully booked. The resort boasts an impressive number of swimming pools ensuring that we had plenty of options for cooling off and enjoying the water. We specifically enjoyed the jacuzzi with different temperature.

The food in the resort's restaurant were good. We indulged in a delicious meal that satisfied our taste buds and left us feeling content. The menu offered a variety of options ensuring that there was something for everyone.

However, our excitement dropped when we decided to treat ourselves to a massage at the resort's spa. While the massage itself was satisfactory, we were taken aback by the therapists' behavior. They were demanding tips, which we planned to give, but we didn't expect them to ask for it so directly. The insistence felt unnecessary and slightly off-putting. It made us feel uncomfortable.

1. Accommodation we stayed in is not even the cheapest one but it is so terrible! The mattresses are soooo hard! You won't get a good night's sleep!
2. The aircon is so noisy and even turned off by itself in the middle of the night. We got scared that it won't turn on anymore. Fortunately, it did.
3. Breakfast choices are also terrible: hotdog, corned or spicy bulgogi. Not much choices!! They also claim to have fruit juice but it's just some powdered juice with lots of sugar!
4. They won't give you towels when you check in. You have to even request them to give you! Isn't this a given?
While the facilities are well maintained, the accommodation is so bad!

What you need to know beforehand: This resort is under korean management.

So expect korean food in the restaurant. And mattresses that feel like a wooden board with a towel on top.

The facilities are nice, speaking of the pools. Especially the 43 degrees hot tubs are awesome for deep muscle relaxation.
I also had a really good Shiatsu massage at their massage facility.

The cottages are so-so. Not really new, not well maintained.

The view is breathtaking.

Downsides:
Awfully loud music from the restaurant. Live Band, whatever. This really destroyed the serenity of this place.
Oh, and the beds. Holy cow, I'm a camper. Used to thin mattresses and sleeping outdoors.
But this was a completely new level. It was like a stiff wooden board with a thin blanket on top. My whole body was stiff and aching in the morning, the relaxing effects of the Shiatsu massage were gone.

It'd be quite nice, if they'd work on the music and the beds.

We will not come back and also not recommend this resort.
We will rather look for alternatives for the next overnight.

Thank you for reading. If you think you got something out of this review, please give it a like.

Our go-to resort whenever me and my friends want to distress! We usually meet here every quarter or 4 times a year! Haha! The area is sooo huge and they have around 10 or more swimming pools and all are filled with natural mineral spring water which we love the most about this resort. Our favorite pools are the main pool, the one in front of the spa, and their temperature pool.

They also offer the best massage! But make sure to book in advance because they are fully booked most of the time.

We also love the newly opened restaurant in the area, Ihawan Garden. Also the snacks offered near the main pool! As for the breakfast, they recently made it in a buffet style but with the same selections (better than before tho).

The downside is that their rooms are old and needs renovation. And since it is a Korean owned property, the beds are kinda firm.

But we really love their pools, so we will keep on coming back! 🫰🏻

Stayed here jan 1 2020. The hot spring is ok facilities are not. Old and not maintained the fact they charge high for accomoodation. The room interiors are falling apart and dirty. The restaurant is so so so so so basic but they charge very high 😠. Definitely i will not come back for sure there are other better resorts that has good ambience.

Me and my friends would always come here for a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle in the metro. Never tried their rooms because we always go for the day-tour but their rooms look promising. Place is soooo relaxing, has superb ambiance and big enough not to get too crowded. Highly recommended!

Although I've been coming here so many times in the past few years, even before the pandemic. The reason I come back here is because of its hot spring but not so much of their services or the rooms. The facilities, like the pool and areas to roam around, are spacious with nice surroundings and well kept. Rooms, on the other hand, are outdated and need some renovation.

Boyfie and I decided to go to this resort for a little R&R. We opted to go here instead of our usual trip to Splash Mountain just for a change and I have heard good things about this resort so we decided to try it out. Getting there was easy. We just asked the bus conductor to drop us off at 88 Spa and an hour and a half later, we were at the gates of the resort. Check-in was easy because I had made reservations a week before but they were strict on the check-in time. We arrived at 12:30 but check-in wasn't until 1:30 so we went to the restaurant first to have lunch. By the way, they don't allow food from outside but it was easy to smuggle them inside. We didn't though because we wanted the full resort experience.

Food- loved it! We had bibimbap (Php 300), samgyeopsal (Php 660), rameon (Php 200 or so), kimchijige (free) and halo-halo (Php 250...boyfie was craving for that). Although pricey, they were still delicious. And one order is good enough for two people. They also served free fruit slices as dessert.

Pools- terrific! They had a lot of pools and some were cold, some were warm, and some were almost scalding hot! The pool temperatures vary for each pool. The hottest I think is 44 degrees Celsius which was the hottest one in the feng shui pool. The pools were also clean and even though there were a lot of people, there were plenty of pools around for everyone to enjoy.

Landscape- breathtaking! The place was huge and beautifully landscaped. The resort was well-maintained and very clean. The grass felt nice under our feet and walking around the resort will make you smile and point and say "Oh look at that! Oh and look at that! Oh and that one looks beautiful!". Nice places to take pictures as well. They really take care of the place and I even saw the manager picking up trash like cigarette butts (a lot of Koreans like to smoke) and candy wrappers.

Staff- friendly and very efficient. Shout out to the wonderful bartender who whipped up the Mango cocktail. Thanks! Reception was also nice. They were all respectful and very helpful.

Rooms- a big NO NO! I read in the reviews in tripadvisor that the beds are hard. I thought, "No problem. I used to sleep on wooden beds (papag in Tagalog) so this is no biggie." When boyfie sat on the bed, he paused and commented on the bed being hard. Trust me, he never complains but he had to that time. It was literally like a board was put on top of springs and covered with a mattress cover and a bedsheet. The blinds on the windows were the plastic ones and they were incomplete. I asked room service to have it replaced and I took a nap. I woke up after 2 hours and found the old blinds still there but boyfie told me he called the room service already. As I was getting ready, a staff personnel came and replaced it but it wasn't a big change. After dinner, we head back to our room and watched TV. Suddenly, boyfie sat up and looked at his legs. Apparently, ants started munching on him and when I inspected the room, ants were on the bed, the pillows and a part on the floor. Apparently, they came from outside from a gap on the wall. I called front desk immediately and the receptionist who answered was very apologetic and sent someone to spray Baygon right away. Of course, we had to open our door for a few minutes to let the chemical smell go out.

All in all, I would recommend this resort mostly because of everything but the rooms. Daytours are great here since they provide lockers for your things. If you want to stay overnight, it is fine as well as their pools are open 24/7. Just make sure to check on the rooms first.
