Loved the Retro room. I like the extra sink outside of the bathroom. Room and bathroom were a good size. Hardwood floors. Bed was comfortable and lots of pillows with different softness/hardness. We were on the second floor Room 206. Yes there is a pot smell in the hallways its the guests fault for smoking in their rooms. Yes people were slamming doors, also the guests fault. We always make sure we close our door quietly. That is not the managements fault. We ate at the Coppersmith Tavern attached to the Hotel, you can get to the restaurant through the Hotel. This Hotel was a very good price.

Location is perfect with quick access to/from I-95/295. Plenty of nearby services on Rte
1, especially in nextdoor Scarborough. Portland is also a short drive via Memorial Bridge and Commercial St. Lastly, Wyndham properties offer very good value and facilities.

Is it the area of Portland or why do hotels cost so much in Portland? Never in my mind would I thought a HJ could charge over $200 for a room. But, the hotel was convenient for me as I was flying out early in the morning. It provided a shuttle to the airport which was both timely and what I needed. My room was clean. I wasn't in the hotel long enough to notice other issues or services. My stay was short so I didn't use the pool or get breakfast. It definitely was over priced. But in the end, I had a clean room, a comfortable bed and a ride to the airport at 4am. All staff I encountered were professional and courteous.

This place is grotesque. The minute I got into our first room, my three-year-old son found bullets on the floor and there was blood spots on the lamp shade. Dexter would have a field days here. There’s trash all over the room that never got picked up, hair left in the bathroom, and overall just a grungy feel and smell. There’s a weird smell throughout the whole hotel. The pictures online obviously seem a lot better than it actually is. The staff at the desk was semi-decent but the staff who brought us items were terrible. One point we had to wait over six hours for a roll of toilet paper. I demanded that we got a second room after the bullets, this one was a tiny bit better but still has a weird smell to it. The trash in the common rooms has not been emptied the five days we’ve been here. The washing machine and dryer cost $3 each to use, they only fit a couple pairs of pants. They didn’t work at all, ate the money, so we couldn’t even do laundry while we were here. The hallways smelled of weed the whole time and since it is next to a gas station, there was a lot of sketchy looking people on property. Honestly regretted choosing this hotel the minute we got here. Save yourself the trouble and find another place. It’s not worth the money

This was a great stay.
Pros:
Large mini refrigerator in room
Microwave in room
Nice clean indoor pool
They even have a changing area and extra towels for the pool area.

I saw a lot of bad reviews of this hotel and was about to cancel but we couldn't find another hotel near Portland in the summer, so we rolled the dice. Our room was very clean, we were able to get anything we needed from the front desk, who were very polite. The cleaning staff seemed on top of everything and the pool was clean. The breakfast was surprising as I did not expect as many hot items (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles) as we got since I was thinking it would be a standard continental breakfast. Sure the hotel was a little dated, but I really can't complain. Also, Coppersmith's right downstairs was delicious.

My first night during my stay at location was very noisy thru the night while trying to sleep. Also was cannibis ( pot ) smell thru hallway where my room was located. Addressed noise with front . They honored me a discount of approx. $10- off my second night . Due to only getting couple hours sleep my first night stay , and having medical testing in Portland, Me. that day felt should have not been charged for 2nd night. Feel a completary night should be honored to me at one of your locations . Thank-You. B. Ray

Heater/AC kept tripping the breaker. Workout room had equipment not working. Continental Breakfast was horrible. Ran out of things and had to use a paper cup for cereal because there were no bowls and then on top of that milk had run out and nobody paying attention to see what needed refill. Coffee was empty and when I asked if we could get coffee I got a grunted answer of yea like I was inconveniencing her.

The staff was friendly, but the hotel itself is dated. There were updates for the bedding and cosmetic things but the bathroom was showing its age. The room was clammy in part because it was raining while we were there, but the a/c unit couldn't seem to do anything about it. It was a convenient location.

4 out of 5. Breakfast area was not as tidy. food was all over the counters. Staff was nice and helpful when asked. Pool area was great. the kids enjoyed the pool. The location to the beach was 15 minutes from the hotel and made for a great drive and easy to find.
