My husband and I visit Belterra often and usually have decent luck at the machines. The casino is well maintained and clean. I often spot housekeeping removing empty bottles and beverages from the floor. The staff has always been very friendly and the bartenders who are definitely overworked still flash a smile when you go for a drink.
While we visit regularly last weekend was the first time staying at the hotel. Since I'm a short drive we've never taken advantage of the comped room. However, being a special outing for my birthday my husband asked our host to help secure us a room. Our host Elizabeth is THE BEST! She was happy to help in getting us reservations for the room and treating us to dinner at 19 Steakhouse (ask for "Server Michael" he's fantastic and never disappoints).
After our long evening of gambling my hubby and I headed up to the room and found Elizabeth hooked us up with a suite! Here I was expecting a dinky comped room and she surpassed my expectations again. As tired as I was; I couldn't help taking a bath in the big tub and indulge in the complimentary bath salts. The bed was comfortable and we slept like rock stars. I would 100% stay here again.

My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary with a night out at the boat! At arrival we got checked into our room by a very friendly front desk staff. When we went to our room it wasn't the same room that I had booked when I called the wk prior to set up our trip. So I immediately went back down to the front desk to see if we could switch to the type of room I had orginally requested. I always book the deluxe room with separate glass shower and jacuzzi tub. They had us in a regular king room with a standard shower/tub combo. The lady quickly apologized for the inconvenience and got us switched to the right room. I was amazed at the level of professionalism, friendliness and speed to correct the issue. The front desk staff for Friday night Jan 17th were ALL amazing! They deserve to be recognized for this! This is one of the many reason we continue to frequent Belterra. After getting unpacked we hit the casino for a little fun before dinner. The slots were tight as usual but we still won enough to continue playing for awhile. We later decided to go to the Stadium Sports bar for dinner. They were busy but we got right in at the bar, we placed our drink orders then ordered a pizza to go. Within 20 mins we had our food and was on our way to our room to eat!! The pizza was delicious! And the bartender made sure we had extra napkins and plates to bring with us to the room. I highly recommend ordering to go if they are very busy, especially on the weekends. We enjoyed every part of our trip and everyone we encountered was friendly and professional.

This was our last stop on our journey back east from Texas. Selected hotel because we wanted to play some cards. Never stayed at a Belterra Casino so a completely new experience. Great atmosphere, clean, and nice people throughout (from employees to fellow guests and gamblers) played Let it Ride and Mississippi Stud......won some lost some then won some more. Pit boss was terrific getting us set up with cards and comped us $40 towards dinner and $30 towards breakfast..... what a welcome present! Food was excellent. Wishing spa was open to check out but with Covid and all it might take a bit. Nice small classy casino way, way out in the countryside. We will definitely return.

Casino floor personnel were very unpleasant, specifically the pit bosses. Most dealers were cordial and friendly, especially Mike at the Blackjack table. Due to COVID, they decided to ban all eating, drinking and smoking on the casino floor. There is an indoor smoking room but every machine is turned off, can’t even play in there. You can tell this was most definitely a beautiful property at one point but it’s definitely going downhill in regards of the upkeep. The elevators were gross, dental floss on the floors. The chandelier where the main elevator is with the very crooked shades was very tacky. All brass fixtures throughout are dirty and disgusting and need replaced. The service and food at the sports bar was very good, especially the waitresses. The rest of the casino personnel need to take a few lessons from them. We lost a large chunk of change gambling there and they were not even willing to comp the two nights of resort fees for $22. Not a good move to make people want to come back. We traveled nearly 6 hours from the Pittsburgh area to visit this place and spend our Christmas weekend here and it’ll be the last time. A little hospitality would go a long way. On the way home we stopped at Jack Casino in Cincinnati which is soon to be branded as Hard Rock Casino and it was a light years better experience. Stayed at a Hampton Inn that was 10 mins away, with a MUCH nicer room for a fraction of what we paid at Belterra. Very disappointing Belterra.

I had to cancel my reservation on a room that I booked the day before. I called at 3pm to cancel. The lady I spoke to asked for my name. Then she informed me that there would be a $50 deposit charge put on my credit card. I told her if that was the case , I would just keep the room and come. She said, "too late, the room has been cancelled.". I was shocked that she had already cancelled it. I told her that she should have told me about the $ 50 charge before she hit her cancel button & that I thought I had until 6pm to cancel. She said she couldn't change it and that I was told when I booked that there was a 24 hour cancellation notice. 24 hours from WHEN? I didn't even make the reservation until 6 pm the previous day & here I was calling at 3pm to cancel. I have stayed here a few other times & I must say the rooms are great. The best of any area casino. The way this was handled was totally uncalled for. I have never talked to.such a rude employee in my life. I will never consider returning there. There are too many other casinos in the tri-state area to visit that know how to treat a customer.

THE BELTERRA IS THE BEST!!! EVERYTHING about this place has been wonderful for us every single time. Jeff Evans was a God send as he went above and beyond to make sure that we were great at all times. He was the best host that I have ever dealt with by far!!! We really appreciate everything he did for us and was very quick to respond to my requests. Aaron was super friendly and an absolute ball to chat with at the front desk. These two are definitely keepers to say the least. The Grand Suite is something that you have to experience at least once . The jacuzzi is bigger than any I have ever been in in a hotel room. I I am 5 foot 9 a my husband is 6 foot 4 and we have plenty of room to stretch out in there together. We are very picky about our accommodations and food when traveling. This is probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. That says a lot because we travel quite a bit. We have thoroughly enjoyed all of the food here as well. Even as a sports bar, The Stadium has never let us down. The cowboy ribeye at 19 was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Even the sides were great. I could eat the asparagus as a meal in itself. We look forward to going every time and can't wait to get back again!!

We stopped here on our way to Gatlinburg. It was a nice property with huge rooms. The buffet was good. The casino was average. But my husband and i still make fun of the clerk. Either your hotel is the strangest one we've ever stayed in, or your clerk was a liar. You see, he asked if we wanted to "upgrade to a shower room for $40 extra." Well, my husband and i looked at each other and asked what he meant. He explained that we'd only get a bath but with whirlpool jets, or we can upgrade for $40 and also get a shower. I asked if he was serious. I said, " what kind of hotel has rooms without showers? We've been traveling for almost 30 years, and this is s first." He just smiled at us ( he was 20 something, thin, brown hair and kind of delicate). So i told him we'd have to upgrade because we're not taking a bath. I even asked the guy how do people wash their hair in a tub with no cup. Lol ridiculous. Probably a lie. We won't be back.

The casino has only about 25% of their rooms available due to lack of help. Breakfast is on your own and lunch and dinner only at one site in the casino. Saturday rates are twice their regular daily rate and you need to book your room early.

We have stayed at Belterra many times. At over 3 1/2 hours from our house we have always enjoyed it for its amenities. We won’t be wasting our time anytime soon. First off everywhere you see “Boyd clean” signs. We laughed the whole time we were there because of the uncleanliness of the entire place. Upon entering our room we found Cheetos on the floor (yes Cheetos!) Our hallway the entire time we were there looked like there had been a party and no one had bothered to sweep. Tables not wiped down at main bar. Many things were due to Covid rules which made the stay disappointing. The buffet is closed down Leaving minimal places to eat and you are pretty much in the middle of nowhere. The spa is closed. You are Not allowed to sit at bar in casino. If you sit at a table game you are not allowed to drink anything the entire time. Tons of machines closed. And as always forget about sleeping very well because the slamming of the doors all night & morning. Hopefully once Covid stops they will start business as usual and get back to a nice place to visit. (The entire staff we interacted with were very nice!)

Wife and I picked a place within 6 hour drive to go and figured based on the photos this would be decent place to visit. We were wrong, they show the good parts on the website, which I understand but this hotel is old looking in person. Carpets are completely worn down and faded, the non-smoking floor and rooms smell of smoke and permeated throughout. I get, it people smoke and gamble, drinking as well but highly frowned upon at the slot machines and no drinks at the tables, despite a $15 dollar minimum per hand. Staff is not well trained in the COVID protocols and was hit or miss when someone was going say something. The hotel has 15 floors, which means it can hold quite a few people but the table gaming floor which maybe had 24 tables all surrounded by slot machines was very crowded despite only allowing 2-3 people per table. Very crowded under the guise of social distancing. Their rent a security forcing everyone to wear a mask going into the gaming area, was not enforced while inside. I hate wearing the mask and won’t wear it if I don’t have to but if the rules of the business state I need to wear it to enter, I will wear it if I want to enter but people should wear them correctly or they do zero good. Mentioned this to the staff and all I got was shrug. If you are looking for a cheap place to gamble and drink, this is not the place. At $150 a night plus taxes and such for a basic room and not able to do much of anything else, this was a waste of money. I could driven a few more hours and stayed at the MGM Grand for few more dollars and had a better experience.
