Hotel's Favourite
If you are going with a group, then this is a great hotel option, I liked that the rooms have 2 bathrooms and can easily sleep 6 persons, and the kitchen and living room area are spacious enough and give you a home away from home feel. It's located on I-drive so many attractions can be easily accessed and are visible from rooms. The access to a washer and dryer in the room makes it much better for travelling especially when traveling as a group.

We were a little apprehensive following some negative reviews on here however, we found this an ideal location for our families, with rooms next door to each other (6074 and 6075 for a party of 7) and did not experience any particular issues with cleanliness that bothered us for a 10 day holiday from the UK.
Rooms are a little dated however, much more spacious and well equipped living areas and good value for money (compared to the more expensive Sonesta Es Suites in International Dr, stayed in 2017)
Pool spacious with late opening hours, ideal following a long day at the parks.
Staff polite and helpful. As we didn't answer the phone and were out most of the day, we didn't experience the timeshare hassles others have reported.
Paid a hotel tax and this included Wifi for all in apartment - didn't have problems with connection.
Easy access to i.Drive and Universal from here. Also took itrolley bus to shopping malls etc, as bus stops close to hotel.
Would recommend i.drive for eating out as better selection and things to do.
Our favourite reataurant/bar was 'The Yard House' near the Orlando Eye.
We used local Walgreens and various shops to stock up on food for breakfasts and snacks etc and ate out most evenings.
We did a main shop at Walmarts on Turkey Lake Road when we arrived - very long walk and whilst much cheaper products, we paid $20 to taxi back to the apartment so in hindsight, probably not worth it.
Overall, a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay here again.

We are so glad that we didn’t pay attention to any of the negative reviews on here about the Westgate Palace. The hotel is great and the rooms are set up for a family. There is a master suite for the parents with a king sized bed, a jacuzzi tub and shower. The shower was on the smaller side, but not a big deal. The other bedroom had two twin beds and another full sized bathroom. You can access the bathroom from the bedroom or the living area.
The living room and kitchen are in the middle. The living room has a couch bed and the kitchen is stocked with utensils, plates and pans. There is also a full sized coffee pot, so bring your own coffee and filters. The washer and dryer are located behind a door in the kitchen, and works very well. If you need anything extra (soap, ice... the front desk will gladly give if you ask). Everything was very clean, no issues with our room.
We were asked about our interest in “touring the property” when we checked in, but we politely declined and that seemed to be fine. After about the third day someone called our room asking us once again if we wanted to check out the property and offering incentives such as gift cards. Again we politely declined and there was no other hassle. We did not feel pressured at all, in fact they were very polite about the whole thing.
On a last note, we had read that the parking lot was hard to park in and often visitors had to park in an overflow lot. But not one time did we find the parking lot full, and they also have a very nice security guard at the entrance. We will definitely be back!

Worst stay ever! Dog barking all morning at ridiculous volume! Housekeeping literally opened our door at 8:55am to come in completely ignoring the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the outside of our door when check out is not until 10am. I have NEVER encountered such lack of customer service in my entire life!!! They don’t care about their guests so don’t stay there is you value your relaxing sleep! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are small but nicely redone with fabulous upgrades compared to other hotels; however this does NOT make up for the lack of customer service. When I made the manager aware, she discounted my concerns and stated that it was only housekeeping and not someone actually breaking into our room! All I can say is luckily for the housekeeper the latch on the inside of the door kept her from visiting the ER because coming into my room and starling us awake would have definitely been a problem for her. NEVER will I ever entertain staying there again as it is definitely not worth the price paid…

I’ve been a WG owner since 2003 and this was the 1st time I was displeased with our accommodations. We stayed at the WG Palace and the room looked like it had not been updated since 2003. The dishwasher and oven was rusted at the bottom, the master bedroom was extremely tight, the bed was definitely not a Queen. The tub was too small for my husband, who is 6 ft to use it. There was only one remote for three different televisions. Checkin was a mad house, with the receptionist telling me she was happy I even had a room because they were overbooked and canceling people’s reservations. In addition, the one activity I was interested in doing was the paddle boat. Over course it was inoperable due to no motor in the safety boat.

My mortgage for the property has been paid in full for 10 yrs and i pay my maintenance fees regularly. I would love to know what this fee is used for being as though the room given was a mess. I’ve stayed at better hotels and paid less than what we pay in WG maintenance fees. I guess once you’ve become an owner, they don’t need to impress you anymore. All they care about is having more sales of timeshares instead of caring about their current owners. I will never stay here again!!! I will be using my interval international to exchange to a much better resort.

The only good thing is the staff. They were all very pleasant.

By far the best accommodation we’ve stayed in Orlando. This is our 7th trip and a little disappointed that it’s taken this long to discover this property. Room was very spacious, 2 bedrooms, 1 with 2 single beds and 1 with a Queen bed, both rooms have their own spacious bathrooms with large showers and TV’s. A large lounge and kitchen separates the bedrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might possibly need should you wish to cook and eat in the room, but it is also located close to many restaurants should you wish to eat out. Kitchen has a large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, cooker, toaster, pots, pans, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board . There is also a wall safe in the room to keep valuables. The staff we encountered during our 7 night stay were all extremely helpful and friendly and nothing seemed to be too much hassle for them. We were contacted during our stay with an invitation to attend a presentation for timeshare, which we declined. This property is very close to Universal Orlando but it makes an ideal base for exploring all Orlando has to offer. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Orlando.

We paid almost $500 extra for a renovated room that we did not recieve.cant contact anyone because the week we have been here our phone was broken the ENTIRE TIME. We tried asking them to fixit many times, never happened! I will be contacting corporate over this and the many issues we had. The maintenance workers became rude when we asked them to clean the puddle of vomit that stunk up the whole area. The wifi didnt work the entire time. We WERE looking into the time share but with the laundry list of issues that were never addressed absolutely not. When we called claudia at corporate about the extra 500 in charges she told us it wasnt her problem. The renovated rooms are not guaranteed yet they put them up as if they are and they will take the money for them, not give to you, then refuse to reimburse even though you didn't receive anything. Would love to have issues fixed to look into time share but unless we find a way to have these issues fixed its a no go!

This is our 2nd time here and I'll be sure to come back. We love the suites, it makes it so convenient, we can keep and cook our own food. We brought our own coffee / coffee maker and an air fryer with us and it was "just like home". The in suite laundry facilities allows us to pack less and do more with the clothes we bring (wash and dry while you sleep!!!). We prefer not to have people in the suites while we are away so them not changing the towels each day or providing turn down service fits our needs perfectly. Their elevators could use a little love but other then that I have nothing but wonderful things to say. We got there a little early after leaving our cruise and they were still able to accommodate us and get us in a room. Excellent service, excellent lodgings, thank you!!!

1. Staff are very friendly and happy.
2. No shuttle service at this hotel. However, if you walk five minutes down the road to surf side hotel you can take their shuttle for free! Shuttle ride runs about every 15 minutes to universal. Never waited long! No passes needed to board the bus- you just walk straight on.
3. Pool and hot tub were very clean. Free Towels available on deck.
4. Very nice gym on site. Was never busy!
5. Try to get a room facing lakeside! This gives you a view of universal and volcano bay! We were able to watch the fireworks from our room that universal puts on every night.
6. Rooms are updated. Stove, oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, laundry and blender included!
7. You can order coffee daily for free they will give you 3 days worth of coffee at a given time for the coffee machine.
8. Food from drafts was delicious. The Starbucks attached to drafts was very nice- grab a coffee in the morning and walk over to catch the shuttle to surf side.
9. No timeshare spiels.
10. The ability to text the front desk was very nice and staff responded straight away!
11. Wifi worked very well!
12. Beds were very comfortable. However, the pull out couch did not seem very comfortable to sleep on.
13. There is no sauna on site.
14. We got our groceries at Walmart and found this to be the cheapest option.
15. Overall,we had a great stay and I would recommend staying at this hotel if you plan on going to universal studios/volcano bay.

Stayed here for 4 days last week. Wouldn't go back.

First of all, the decor is extremely outdated. Everywhere is brown. The rug in the main room was so dirty and old.
Secondly, the kitchen area had no room to prepare anything, trying to get into cupboards was difficult also.
Thirdly, the toilets were terrible, one blocked twice (we didn't use much of the 1 ply paper to block it either) but there was a plunger in the cupboard... so it must block often as I've never been in a hotel with a plunger in it!
Fourth, The fire alarm went off at 9.30am on Saturday, as we left our room to evacuate, 3 staff members were in the hallway (1 in a shirt and tie, perhaps a manager) and saw us. None said a word, so we pointed at the fire exit and asked one if we should use that, she shrugged and walked back into the room she was cleaning. So we left through there anyway, and met 2 other people as we left. When we got downstairs from the 11th floor, no one else was to be seen. Just 4 of us and 2 other people. No staff or anything. We got the lift back up and the staff members who saw us go out the fire exit previously were still standing there and didn't utter a word. If they knew it wasn't a fire they should have told us or if it was, they should've let too.
Fifth, The parking was a nightmare. It was completely full and they were sending people to an overspill car park which is a few blocked from the hotel and has a shuttle to take you back to the hotel which is inconvenient.
Finally, there's the calls every day to try and get you to collect 'freebies'... but is actually just to get you to a timeshare, thankfully we didn't fall for that.

Definitely would not stay here again.
