Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is frequently celebrated for its spacious and modern rooms, with guests enjoying the comfort they provide. However, some visitors have reported issues with soundproofing and cleanliness. While the staff is often described as welcoming, the resort's services, especially in restaurants and transportation, can be slow and hit-or-miss. Its central location is a hit for easy park access and varied dining options. Reviews are mixed regarding value, with some guests finding the pricing reasonable and others pointing out the high costs for dining and services. Amenities like the deluxe resort features, multiple pools, and dining variety receive high marks, though the expansive layout can be a downside for those preferring a more compact resort experience. The atmosphere is praised for its stylish Disney theming and well-maintained grounds, yet some guests feel it could be cozier.

This resort is very large and absolutely beautiful! It is Disney's conference hotel. Our casita was located toward the back of the property. Being on ground level I was expecting more noise, but it was very quite, as I am a light sleeper. Room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Probably would not want to spend a whole day in the room as it is a little small. There are plenty of activities along with indoor and outdoor seating options throughout the resort. Having connecting rooms with family was ideal. It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the main building. The grounds were well landscaped and maintained with good lighting at night. Security was always present. All the food on property was delicious! The bus shuttle to and from the Disney parks was easy to use.

We have stayed at the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary and love the proximity to the Magic Kingdom. We were planning a quick 2 days in the park trip, 3 nights at the resort and after reading about Coronado Springs and the price we booked. Our only problem was that the doors open onto an exterior corridor and the windows are sealed shut. The only place to sit outside is at the pool. But, if you are planning to live at the parks or indoors this place is perfect! Rooms are new and spotlessly clean. The bus service excellent. Grounds beautiful. You can tell it is a convention center as the service is great for a moderate priced hotel and you can actually eat at the Bridges Restaurant w/o a reservation! Rix Sports bar is good and the Food Hall uses real plates and silverware. Grand Floridian has paper! You will need to spend some time researching where everything is: pool, restaurants, bus stops (there are 4), hot tub that seats 22 people. When I researched I had written down that I wanted to be anywhere but Ranchos, well our assigned room was in Ranchos and we did online checkin and straight to the room so...it was very nice. It was far from tower and food court but the walk on the boards across the lagoon was fun and it was very quiet. We had a water view room which can be pool or lagoon but since the place is surrounded by massive parking lots the pool view was appealing. Since this resort is spread out and requires a lot of walking, and is a convention center it has a very young vibe. As an older couple when Gloria at the main desk was printing our boarding passes, she insisted that a bell man pick us up at 3:45am from our room as she felt it was too dark for us to walk! Housekeeping also showed up within 10 minutes of my asking if our room could be cleaned as we were headed to the pool and wanted to shower upon return. The service at Coronado is really excellent!

A stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort invites you to kick back, relax and enjoy the views of the sun over Lago Dorado. There’s a spot out there for every kind of vacation, and I totally agree this is a fantastic one for those trips where you’ll be out and about all day long. I always encourage our Guests to take an extra day to unwind at the Resort, and it seems your trip was designed to do just that! It makes me so happy to know Gloria ended your vacation on such a magical note. I can’t wait to share your thanks with her, so she knows she made a positive impact on your getaway. Until next time, ¡adios! Emma Disney Social Reviews

Definitely my favourite place to stay so far at Disney, we stayed in November 2019, the Christmas decorations were slowly going up as it was the beginning of November, the parks had more up than the resort, but by the end of our stay it was fully decorated and it was beautiful!

We stay in the Cabanas area, used the swimming pool and hot tub, everywhere was always so clean, the rooms were just perfect, the right amount of amenities available, we enjoyed the refreshing walk to go and get our breakfast, whilst the food was almost the same every day, it did make it easier for us, we didn't have to spend too much time deciding what to eat - at this time, we had the quick service dining plan, so it was super useful.

The staff, as we always find at Disney, were just so lovely, they always say hello, give you a smile and if you have any little ones they will sometimes go out of their way to make them giggle and have a bit of fun whilst around the resort. The cleaning staff are really pleasant too, they will always say hello to you, and if you ever need anything extra like towels or bedding, just ask! The activities they do around the resort we never actually did any, but we were by the pool when they did those events and the seem like great fun for the children.

I'd highly recommend staying here, the renovated rooms are really nice, they give you body wash and shampoo/conditioner from the H2O range and there is also a hairdryer and an in room safe - free of charge.

I would recommend this as a resort, it is beautiful.
However, that is where the pleasant experience ends.
All day in the Disney parks, I have heard people being harassed.... wear a mask, cover your mouth and nose , social distance.
It is unfortunate that considering that we are paying a lot of money to stay here that Disney cannot get their employees to wear a mask , social distance , temperature check and then clean your bloody room. But no, once again whilst the guests are expected to jump through hoops in order to accommodate Disney COVID requirements. It is impossible for them to provide the full service for which guests are paying. Instead Disney jump on the band wagon of so many hotels and see Covid as an excuse for not providing the service which guests are paying for.

We paid the higher amount for a "Preferred Room" - this allegedly gets one closer to the amenities of the resort. It was still a trek to the Lobby, the restaurant and the main pool. I can't imagine the walk for a non-preferred room. The resort does not let Uber/Lyft get closer to the area of these rooms - you have to get picked up and dropped off outside the main lobby. This was quite annoying. The folks working there were all very friendly and helpful. The grounds were kept neat and clean. The app did not unlock our door a single time, make sure you get a regular room key card. If you already have a magic band from a previous trip or if you buy one, you may have more success than the phone app. I was surprised that all of the rooms are an exterior entry to the rooms, like a motel. I should have paid more attention to that when selecting Coronado Springs. The walls were quite thin as we heard the TV and goings on in the rooms on either side of us which did affect our ability to sleep on most of the nights during our 7 night stay. Housekeeping was limited to replacing towels every other day, but did not change sheets or make the bed (as I had expected they would). I would not stay here again.

While I’m glad to learn that you really enjoyed your overall time visiting Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and the Cast Members you interacted with made your visit magical, I’m so sorry for the frustrations you expressed throughout your review. I do apologize that your room was a little further away than you were expecting and your experience with the My Disney Experience app was not as magical as we’d have liked. However, I appreciate you sharing your observations as we strive for our Guests to have a seamless visit while with us, and your feedback helps us identify what areas may require a little extra attention. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts. With many wonderful Resorts to choose from, I do hope we’ll be welcoming you back again real soon! Zoey Disney Social Reviews

I had a great time at Coronado. We stayed in the Grand Destino Tower and it was so beautiful, especially with the holiday decorations. Smells amazing. I feel like people do need to know about the housekeeping/security checks. Disney is doing very little housekeeping right now. You have to call down for trash bags and bags for your dirty towels and to request clean towels and coffee or toiletries. 7 days and our beds were not made. I did request a broom because I spilled a pop tart and someone came and vacuumed real quick. They also do come by daily to check your room for safety. This has been the case for a few years. Just like anywhere some staff are super nice and some are kind of rude. My father in law asked someone where the smoking area is and they rolled their eyes and said I don’t know and walked away. But then at the same time the Rix staff was super nice and prepped a to go order for us when we didn’t plan thanksgiving dinner very well. (Left the park earlier than expected.)
Before you go, know that quick service and their fancier restaurant, Toledo, are not open. Your choice is Three Bridges (join wait list on the app) or to go, grab n go from Rix Cafe (and they are closed 4 hours in the afternoon), or coffee/pastries in the morning from Barcelona. Siestas pool bar also has really good food.I got more than one meal from here but the kitchen closes at 7. I highly recommend ordering groceries to your room because the breakfast sandwiches aren’t great and get expensive quickly. The pool is so gorgeous and the hot tub is huge. We had so much fun here. Another thing you’ll want to pay attention to is the bus stop. The tower (stop 1) is the last morning stop for the bus, and lines get long. There are no corrals at the stops and line jumping is rampant. Give yourself AT LEAST an hour and a half before you want to go somewhere to be at the bus stop. For Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios closer to 2 hours prior to park opening if rope dropping is important to you. I think that covers everything. I’d highly recommend, even in covid.

Your visit to Disney's Coronado Springs Resorts sounds absolutely lovely and your review gives such wonderful detail too! Thank you for sharing your tips and tidbits about your experience, it is wonderful for our Guests who may be researching to learn from other Guests what stood out. It seems you got to experience much of what the Resort has to offer from our dining to transportation options and even some of the recreation as well. Three Bridges is one of my favorite restaurants on all of Walt Disney World property, the view is wonderful and the Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip is divine. I do look forward to reading many future reviews from your and your family on future Disney adventures. Alexa Disney Social Reviews

I have been coming to Disney for over 40 years, staying at different Disney hotels and heard that I should stay at the Disney Coronado Springs Hotel because it is such a classy hotel with great scenery. However, staying at the Coronado Springs has been the worst hotel and Disney experience we have had in the many years we have visited the park…

I called the front desk for room cleaning services and they refused to make our beds daily
We can hear the people in the room above us walk around (loudly)
The hotel rooms are set up like motels and we were not aware of this floor plan when we booked the room.
We do not have a table in our room so we requested trays to eat via the front desk/concierge. They indicated, our rooms are not meant to eat in and they suggested we should go and sit at the tables outside.
We ordered food, they would not allow the driver to deliver, I had to leave my room and drive to the check-in building to retrieve our order. They advised, it was for security reasons, although the gate which provided access to our hotel buildings has been broken and open…providing access to anyone and everyone.
The rooms/elevators are difficult to find via this Coronado grounds. Signs are difficult to navigate on the premises.
Door leading to the bathroom sink will not close.
Exhaust fan turns on automatically via motion sensor, but it has been running all night and we could not turn it off.

In just 2 hours, this has been the worst Disney hotel experience that we have ever had. For years, Disney has advertised their mystical (magical) and superior customer service. This hotel is the worst and has provided horrible service.

This is our third stay and favorite hotel on the property as there are very few children and little Disney theming, so great for adult-only travelers, not as good for families looking for a lot of characters. Our room in the Cabanas had been refurbished recently and included double sinks, lots of storage, mini-fridge and Keurig so we could eat breakfast in our room, and two extremely comfy beds. We requested an upper floor room near transportation and that is exactly what they delivered. We never ate or shopped there in our three days, just slept and used it as our base. It is also a relatively direct bus ride to everywhere. We loved the airline baggage check offered at the hotel for Magical Express riders.

Hola! Thank you for this review of you stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I am so happy to know this is your favorite Resort hotel here at the Walt Disney World Resort. This beautiful lakeside oasis offers classic Spanish influences, subtle Disney touches and plenty of modern comforts to energize and inspire as you delight in an array of offerings and features! We're delighted to learn you enjoyed one of our newly renovated rooms - from the extra storage space to the new amenities that give these rooms a very modern feel! As an avid coffee drinker myself, I also appreciate the in-room Keurig for a "brew-tiful" start to the day. We're already looking forward to your next visit! See you then! Kim Disney Social Reviews

We normally stay in value resorts at Disney but the southwestern theming of Coronado along with the new renovations convinced me to give it a try. I'm so glad we did. The rooms were spacious and clean with extremely comfy beds.
We were travelling with two other groups and were initially put in rooms very far apart. I visited the front desk and they quickly moved us to a room in the same building as my brother with no issues.
The lobby was gorgeous with its Christmas Decorations. In between each casita (the area we stayed) was a beautiful court yard with spanish fountains and mature landscaping. It was a few days before christmas but it felt quiet and relaxed.
I snuck out of our room early in the am and grabbed a drink from the upscale coffee bar in the lobby and sat in a comfy chair by the tree. It was then that I knew I had 100% made the right choice in upgrading from Pop.
The main pool area was amazing. The kids loved the long waterslide with a water spitting jaguar. The cafe by the pool has reasonably priced lunch and a station for the refillable mugs.
The only con for some people would be that the resort is very large with multiple bus stops. It felt like a long walk to the food court from our room. However we have had far rooms and long walks in every disney hotel we have been too. The #2 bus stop was nearbye and we were the first stop on and off.
We are allready planning on going back for another stay at Coronado next year with our whole family to show my mom the christmas decorations. I think they will love this resort as much as we did!

We had a room in the Tower with a water view on the 12th floor. The Tower was completed last year and provides a terrific view of the various Disney locations. We watched fireworks from our room. The room was spacious and the bathroom included separate sinks, walk-in shower with a hand spray, and a separate room for the commode. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice convenience. The only surprise was noise from the people next door.

We stayed Feb. 2024 and used shuttle bus to Magic Kingdom. We left CS late morning and waited less than 10 minutes for the bus. We returned from MK to the hotel around 5pm; the bus was there when we got to the bus; however, we waited a few minutes before the bus departed back to the CS hotel. We also used the bus for early entry transport to Hollywood Studios. It worked well. We arrived about 45 minutes PRIOR to early rope drop.

Hi. We stayed during a convention. Did not find it overly crowded. The up side is there are less people trying to get to the park so busses are less full. As mentioned above you should definitely make restaurant bookings in advance.

The parks/disney springs shuttles go around the resort and makes multiple stops but nothing designated for just the resort. The bellhops can help bring luggage to the room or you can borrow a rolling luggage cart. We just tipped the bellhop to help us on check in and check out day, they had their own car/cart and brought the luggage to the room a little while after we checked in.
