Nestled in the heart of Miami, the Hilton Miami Downtown garners appreciation for its prime location and the breathtaking views it offers, with many guests enjoying the comfortable beds as well. While its cleanliness is a highlight, with daily maintenance keeping rooms spotless, some visitors have expressed concerns over the dated room decor and less than satisfactory maintenance. The atmosphere of the hotel is generally well-received, though the music and bustle in the bar area can sometimes detract from the experience. Despite the professional demeanor of the staff, service hiccups have been noted, and several travelers question the hotel's value for money, particularly regarding the pool and amenities.

Our room was upgraded to a higher floor for a better view. The room was clean and the property was nice and maintained. I would recommend trading out the color of the couch or the material of the couch in the room for something to accommodate higher traffic or use. We were in a King Suite and the couch appeared dingy. I didn’t sit on it or use it. The staff are very friendly. Even though they only clean your room every 3 days due to COVID, you can get towels or whatever you need upon request. The WiFi was down while I was there, but even after the tower was repaired, it still caused my service to run slow, but I think that’s just in Miami. It seems that the prices are higher because of the location being downtown and it has the conference center attached and huge ballrooms. We got the room for a really good price through a third party. I would ha e been disappointed had We paid $235/nt or anything over $200/night. But again your paying for location and access to the marina right across the skywalk.
I just wish that the pool and bar was open longer. The lounge chairs by the pool are very weathered and torn and towels are used to cover them. New ones are definitely needed.
Overall I was satisfied and would stay there again.

This was a handy location for the recent Miami Yacht Show floating in front of the adjacent Mariott and 1 Herald Plaza. Valet parting was seamless at $28/night. Comfortable although not cozy lobby. Nice lobby bar and adjacent restaurant. Plenty of staff at desk for check-in/out. Plenty of elevators (6) to the rooms. Queen bedded rooms are large and comfortable with adequate closet, drawer storage and a desk and chair with a nice deck lamp. Plenting of plugs and charging ports. Floor to ceiling window wall--ask for a water view (south side) if you enjoy watching cruise ships come and go. Menue in the restaurant is a little lacking for dinner although quality of what they have is good. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and then some! Service is pleasant if a bit slow. One one gripe is that the bathtub was slippery and there was no rubber bathmat. I asked for one, but it never came.

Thank you so much for taking the time to offer your helpful and comprehensive feedback about your recent visit. We're thrilled to know that our delicious dining, helpful parking services, beautiful views, and attentive staff impressed you. And, of course, it's terrific that our handy location really floated your boat! It is disappointing that your request for a bathmat was unmet, and I will pass along your comment to the supervisor to be sure that your concern is addressed. We enjoyed hosting you at the Hilton Miami Downtown and we'd love to welcome you back anytime!

This hotel is in a great location for anyone going out of the Port of Miami cruise terminal. With scooters or Uber, et al, you can quickly get to South Beach/Miami Beach and dozens of attractions (Wynwood Walls!) and restaurants in the area. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Would have given this place a higher rating if the hallways were better cleaned and lighted. A surprising amount of dirt/debris in the hallways as compared to the very clean rooms. Yes, some renovation work is in evidence, but clean up after the work is done? Dimly lighted hallways made reading the room direction signs difficult. But on a lighter note, choose or ask for a room on the south side of the hotel. We could see our ship when it arrived at the port. Definitely adds to the pre-cruise excitement.

It’s a shame, this hotel would be really a nice one if they got rid of the shower/tub combo in the bathroom. They are way too small and just inconvenient and disgusting. I really don’t know who actually would sit in a bathtub that thousands of people have laid in and showered in. This Hilton needs to get with the program and have walk-in showers like most other renovated hotels do these days. Not having a walk-in shower is a deal breaker and why I won’t be returning to this property.

I read all the reviews and I wasn’t sure I wanted to stay here but my admin booked my room here and I actually like this hotel. The elevators were a little confusing. There was one set to get to the street level and valet and one set that takes you to the rooms and to the conference area. But the set in front of check in would take you to the conference area too and the street level. I am not sure I actually figured that out the entire few days while here.

The hotel had a resultant and bar area. The food was decent. Room service breakfast was extremely slow, well over a hour and a half for bacon, eggs and toast. The roof top pool area is small but fine for an afternoon of relaxation. The room was updated and clean. Nice shower. My room was higher up with views of the water and cruise ships coming in. Very close to port. I have stayed in many hotels, some that I never even get to get to write a review on because I do travel so much. I usually only review the really good or the really bad! The okay I just leave if I’m short on time. I must say this hotel had the most comfortable mattress I think I have ever slept on in a hotel. I was really impressed with the mattress for a Hilton at that. I know there’s more upscale hotels in the area but this one was very close to where I needed to be so that’s how I usually pick them. I will probably go back just for the mattress if nothing else and ask for the same room. Crazy I know! There are numerous restaurants in the area along with shopping so you are very close to everything. I was just focused on business.

We had a group of 15 people stay at this hotel the month of February. The attention to detail and customer service was worse than a 3 star hotel. Updating a reservation took literally over 30 minutes on the phone because for some reason the rate would go up on all nights if we tried to add an extra night. I called the hotel twice to let them know that one guest was arriving very early the following day and to make sure they didn’t cancel the room for no show, well they still canceled the room and the guest couldn’t check in early. There was another guest in our group that was going to be delayed due to a storm. I called the hotel to let them know and asked them to make sure to update her check in so her hotel reservation. The didn’t update it and when she arrived they said they had canceled her room for no show. They were able to get her a room but wanted to charge 100 more per night. Just unbelievable. I talked to probably 2-3 people to lower her rate to what we originally had since it was not the guest’s fault that the hotel made the mistake. The AC for another guest was not working. The room for another of the guests was not clean. I also made a dinner reservation for the group of 15 people and thank God I asked my colleague to double check just to make sure they reserved the table given the really bad customer service received. I’m a Global Event planner and have experience dealing with hotels all over the world. I was really shocked at the level of service of this hotel. If you have a business event I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. If you’re traveling solo maybe your stay will be pleasant if you don’t have high expectations and if you plan to be outside enjoying beautiful Miami.

Expectations during Superbowl week in Miami were not high, but the Hilton was almost worth the exorbitant prices. Shiny and recently renovated, rooms were well insulated and comfortable. Surprising was the size of the one-bedroom suite, which easily accommodated email checks, TV browsing, and an in-room meal before a comfortable night's sleep. Service was top notch, with forgotten toothpaste and shaving cream appearing at the door with a smile (generating a nice tip). Hilton's Honors Program provides free wi-fi. Overall, very surprisingly well above average.

Originally we booked an hotel in south beach which we didn’t like. We got lucky enough to find this Hilton in downtown Miami, the price was great (it was a last minute booking) the location was terrific, conveniently located in downtown Miami with a gorgeous view (we had a 9th floor room). Many cafes were near the hotel and the metro mover was one block away.
Parking was $25 a day (which is not bad compared to public parking rates)
We will definitely book again when we go back to Miami
Thank you to all the staff for making our Miami trip great!

We stayed at this hotel to attend a Miami Heat game. The hotel is in great shape and very convenient to the American Airlines Arena. Our room was quiet, very well maintained and enjoyed the bay view.
At the same time, it seems like this hotel should decide if they want to be a conference hotel or cater to leisure travelers.
We went to the pool around 4pm to find all lounge chairs occupied. Eventually, two opened up. The good news is that the pool was pleasant and heated well, the bad news is that you feel like you are in a concrete jungle. There is a minimal view, we faced a concrete wall and a/c condensers.
Despite a fully occupied pool area, the only way to purchase a beer was to walk in to the main bar and purchase it at the bar. I did so and an unfriendly waitress told me ‘you can’t stand there’.
Here is an idea, the bar had no customers and the two waitresses were busy chatting,,,why not have one of them walk around the outdoor pool area and take drink orders,,, End result, happier guests and waitresses are earning tip money.
Not a bad hotel but FYI if you intend to use the pool and bar,

Highly recommend staying on a higher floor if available. Nice view of city and cruise port. Stayed on the 17th floor. The elevators were quick and not a long wait. The lobby was gorgeous with many photo opportunities. Parking is easy with in and out privileges and $25 per night. There is nearby street parking on 17th street during the day.

Gold and diamond members received a free continental breakfast ($18 value) at the 1601 restaurant. Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, bacon, fruits and croissant/muffin. Coffee and juice was included. I highly recommend walking up to the counter to order before sitting down to speed up the process (sometimes the servers are busy and don't tend to you right away). The breakfast service ends at 12:00pm but you have to order before 11:45am I believe because that is when the kitchen closes. There is bar service in the evening. Gold members get two free waters per day you just ask at the front desk.

Overall, great stay. Take the Biscayne Miami trolley to get to Brickell and check out Brickell City Center.
