Welcome to Cypress Cove, Florida’s most beautiful clothes free resort. Since 1964, Cypress Cove has been the preferred location for nudist vacationers from around the world. Our nearly 300-acre facility includes a 50-acre lake, 130 acres of protected wetlands, 20 acres of recreation and even a residential community. Accommodations include 84 villa hotel rooms and apartments, and a modern campground/RV park.Cypress Cove features a large pool area with 2 heated swimming pools, 2 Jacuzzi hot tubs, a children's playground, clubhouse, game room, Silver Lining Massage, Figleaf Boutique, Nature Hair & Nail Salon and Body Works Gym. Dining and beverage options include the Lakeside Restaurant, Scuttlebutts Bar, and Cheeks Poolside Bar & Grill. We offer pedal boats, a canoe, and a kayak, all free to use on our beautiful private lake. Sports options include our sand volleyball court, 6 tennis courts, pickleball, shuffleboard, and a 9 hole chip-n-putt golf course. There really is something for everyone. Our clientele is primarily made up of couples and families. Single males must qualify to visit (call ahead). All members of AANR or other nudist clubs or organizations are welcome.First time visitors to Cypress Cove discover that people come in all shapes and sizes and that, as far as our bodies are concerned, all of us have nothing to hide. Once you've socialized in the nude, you realize what an enormous impact what we wear has on who we are. Clothing can lock us into expected roles and behaviors, contributing to the tensions of daily life. You may use the lakefront to adjust at your own pace, letting the weather and comfort be your guide. Once you feel ready, take a dip in one of our heated swimming pools which are for our nude guests only. Our culture and values at Cypress Cove are based on very simple principles; we promote family oriented nudism, which should be wholesome and non-sexual. If you choose to visit Cypress Cove, you are accepting these core principles and agreeing to abide by them.We have great fun at our dances, but suggestive attire and/or dancing are not welcome. We appreciate a tender moment between two adults in love, but public displays of affection should be discreet and innocent. Adventures in the bedroom should always be kept private. Discussions of swinging and recruiting are definitely not welcome here. Our goal is to maintain a safe, non-threatening, non-sexual environment where our guests can truly relax and feel comfortable. If you agree, we hope to see you by the pool!

Property's Favourite Review
We have been 3 times now with our RV. It's beautiful, the restaurant has excellent service and they remember my name every time. The pools are great, night time events are provided (dances, live bands, or movies). Really great sites. Very sociable people for the most part. Kids were monitored by their parents which is nice.
Some people do have a habit of "reserving" their beach chair at 7 AM and not showing up for hours. That's not really the resorts fault tho.

My wife and I visited Cypress Cove April 9th and Checked out the morning of the 12th to fly home and we had a wonderful time. The staff were great, from Rose at Cheeks to our tour guide Tom who was really helpful. with Covid protocols in place everything wasn't as open as it could be but this was no fault of the resort. Tom was there to greet us and introduce us around when we first arrived. and he was very helpful. we did not spend much time at the pool because there really just wasn't anywhere to sit towels were used as place holders even if the towel owner was down on the doc (yes this happened) but in our case that was ok, my wife and I enjoyed the more relaxed and peaceful area down by the lake there was always a spot available there and we met some wonderful people there. we Ate at Cheeks twice during our stay although the service was a little slow the food was great. Tom noticed our wait on Friday and went and helped us out but again due to Covid the resort was a little under staffed in fact there was a housekeeping wanted sign at the entrance Covid seems to mess with everything. As for the pools and Hot Tubs, we really did not get a chance to use the Hot tubs it was to hot during the day and in the morning when it was cool and in the evening when it was cooler, there always seemed to be the same group of older guys camped out in them and my wife was a little uncomfortable so we just used the pools then we would walk back down to the lake. Overall we are planning a return trip when the covid restrictions lift to see the resort in full operation. we would have most definitely been by the pool in the evenings if the live music was going. now for the grounds... the grounds were great my wife and I did our evening walk through the neighbor hood just to get a feel for life on a nudist resort and the places were great and well maintained the resort grounds were also well maintained and groomed , the white sand at the lake made for very nice ambiance so instead of heading to Playlinda we stayed there a paddle boat ride around the perimeter of the lake was more than enough to help burn a few calories . Thre was a decent mix age wise here although it tended to be on the older side there were quite a few couples and guests in our age range which was nice my wife and I are NOT into the swinging life style so Cypress was a perfect fit for us. to conclude the people were great the staff were helpful and the freedom was amazing.... this is a place to relax and slow down and get away from the hustle of everyday life. we look forward to staying at the resort again.
Thanks
Mike and Patty!

Thank you for the lovely review. We're so glad you had a chance to check out the resort. This time of year is always very busy, so it puts a lot of pressure on chairs and other facilities. It sounds like you might prefer the resort when it's a little slower. Weekdays and off season are great for that, though summer weekends still tend to be busy. I'm glad to read that the staff took good care of you, and that you enjoyed the resort and its amenities. We look forward to seeing you again when our activities and dances return!

We have visited resorts up and down the east coast and internationally. This is hands down the best resort we have visited in the USA. We have stayed at cypress cove many times over the years and i cant believe i have never written a review before. We started staying at cypress cove for one or two long weekends a year with the family back when the kids were younger, elementary school age. We would do two or three days in the theme parks and back to the cove at night for swimming and then 2 full days relaxing at the cove. Now the kids are both in college and they will still come with us on a cove vacation (as long as we are paying lol) The hotel rooms are great, we don't love roughing it and its nice to go to resort that has great amenities, so many of the nudist resorts in the US are glorified camp grounds, this truly is a resort. The pool area is beautiful, if your forgot anything they have it in the store on the property and the staff is always friendly. We have gotten massages, eaten at both restaurants and enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. We love waking up early before it gets to hot to take a walk around the resort. Walking down the streets, enjoying morning air and ending at the lake to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. I even gave my daughter her first driving lesson at cypress cove. We are planning a trip back again soon and my wife and I would love to live there someday. If you want to visit the premier nudist resort in the US this is the one to visit.

I’ve been a member here for more than 15 years, although I only get here once or twice a year. It continues to be a quality resort - they have not allowed themselves to stagnate but have continued to put money into the rooms and public areas.

The rooms were all renovated in the last 3 years and the public areas are always kept up. Along the waterfront is a great new dock area.

In my travels to nudist resorts I have found that those in CA are if a higher quality. Cypress Cove I have found Is the only non CA place that meets that standard.

And while there are other resorts in FL - this one stays true to the AANR ideals of nudism.

Staff is always friendly - as are the other guests.

This was our first visit to this resort. We really enjoyed our time here. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We had the King villa room. It was okay and met our needs, but i think for our next visit we will go with a suite. The suites have outdoor area with chairs and offer a full kitchen. While the room we had was good, there are a few things that need to be addressed. The coffee maker lid didn't close properly so we had to put a water bottle on top of it so it would function. The bathroom shower fixtures could use an upgrade. They were a bit outdated and the shower knob was moldy and gross. The shower curtain rod still had the label on it. Some of the areas behind the doors could use some fresh pain. Overall the rooms are nice but they are starting to show some wear and tear. The towels were soft and plush.
We enjoyed the pools, and hot tubs. The Cheeks pool bar/restaurant was really good. It is the only place that is open right now for food and drinks and can get a bit crowded at times. The paddleboats around the lakes was very peaceful but just be aware that this is Florida and there are alligators in the lakes. we saw a baby alligator and someone who was also out on the paddleboat saw a large alligator. We enjoyed walking around the resort. We look forward to returning to this resort.

Please bear with me on this review in case I get too philosophical. I had a morning to kill in Florida close to the Cypress Cove Nudist Resort. Like my last trip, I opted to skip the coffee shop latte and instead visit my third nudist resort.

The entrance gate to CC is across from a typical suburban strip mall. You turn into what looks like your average residential community. The guard at the gate was very personable and took care of the administrative details very efficiently. Once inside Dee gave me a quick friendly, no pressure, tour and turned me loose.

What did I find? Well, you can read other reviewer's comments about the gorgeous facilities, enormous lake and tranquil, immaculately landscaped community. I can only add that those descriptions are absolutely accurate.

I hiked around the grounds for about an hour to get a feel for the place. In the residential section you do feel like you are in a typical very well-maintained suburban community.

Next, I went by the very active pickleball courts and was immediately welcomed and invited to play. I wound up playing pickleball for almost 2 hours with a whole group of uncommonly friendly people.

To me the atmosphere of a resort is determined partly by the facilities, but more so by the demeanor of the staff and guests/residents. And I felt welcome at every step along this visit (the guard, to the tour, to the residential streets, to the pickleball courts).

Now here is where I may get too philosophical for some. As mentioned previously, this was the 3rd nudist resort I have visited. And I am now left wondering if the reason people at these resorts are so friendly is because:

1. nudist resorts attract friendly people
or
2. people become a lot friendlier when they bare their skin

To sum it up, my impression of Cypress Cove is - a great facility with a wonderful clientele. If I am in the area again, I will definitely plan to visit here again.

After my visit there I did actually think of the lyrics to an old song:
I see skies of blue, and cloud of white
......
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful word!

What a wonderful review! We're so glad you had a great experience. We are lucky to have such fantastic staff. Honestly, I think both of your ideas are true. Nudist resorts do tend to attract open minded, sociable people. Without a doubt. But people also do become friendlier when they shed their clothes. With those clothes also go many of the stresses of modern life. Who wouldn't be in a good mood surrounded by like-minded, friendly people with few hang-ups who invite you to play Pickleball, even though you're a total stranger? We've got a good thing here and we know it. Luckily, that attracts even more fun, friendly people like yourself. Once again, glad you had a great time. We hope you make it back soon!

I have been going to Cypress Cove for several years and some things haven't changed. Every year I visit, the office staff is just as unfriendly as ever, the same old dead cedar trees/shrubs along side of the villas stand out loud and clear. One would think the owner would take some pride in the place and remove the dead trees/shrubs. Also the outside of the villas sure could use a good cleaning. The pools are a mess; there are water stains in the gutters. It looks like they have not been cleaned since the last time we were there.

In years past there was a guy that got into the pool&hot tubs every day and scrubs and scrub them down with HTH and a brush, I never saw that once on this visit.

Now let's talk about the Food. They call that food? It's down right uneatable. Chef???Lets not give titles to people who don't deserve them. He is not even a cook at McDonald's! cheap paper plates, plastic spoons, bad service and high prices. When Arnie was there we had much better food, service, etc.

On the good side the people that live there keep their property up for the most part. A few residents look rather trashy with cars parked in the grass and junk in the driveway.

I agree with everything that SueEllen said in her review.

Thank you for your feedback. I assume you don't come each year because you really believe Cypress Cove is a 1-star resort. Instead, I think your venting is because you love the resort and want to see it at its best. I completely understand. We do too. It's been a tough year for all of us, and we are doing what we can with limited staff. However, we will take your criticisms to heart and do our best to rise to your expectations. We hope to see you again next year.

I just spent three days here (solo) and enjoyed every minute of it. Great place to relax, swim, soak in the hot tubs (early morning or late night), walk, etc. They often have live entertainment by the pools, plenty of seating, showers everywhere. Very clean, safe and healthy environment. Once you enter the main gate and check in, there’s really no need to leave. The restaurant by the pool (“Cheeks”) is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Prices are amazingly reasonable; don’t leave the resort to try to save a few bucks at outside restaurants. I stayed in one of their “villa” rooms (just like a hotel room, I don’t really know the difference). It was immaculately clean, well-maintained and as nice as any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Definitely a bargain, in my opinion. Best of all, pack lightly to visit because you won’t need any clothes here- whether you’re young, middle age or elderly, slender or “plus” size, nobody cares. Just relax and be comfortable. Little wonder why so many people I met there were regular visitors (for years) or year round residents. It’s mostly couples, I was among a few singles but was comfortable the entire time. Lastly, the staff is very friendly and helpful. This was my second visit and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended+++

As usual, my wife and I had a very relaxing weekend at Cypress Cove. Usually we just do a day visit as we live nearby but on special occasions we get a room for the night.

The room was clean and ready for an early check-in. The grounds clean and well kept. Plenty of activities if you like tennis, pickle ball, water aerobics, line dancing, peddle boating...

There were some small children playing but not being disruptive. EVERYONE was just relaxing and enjoying the weather and social company.

A great way to decompress from everyday stress.

Glad to be back! We had an great time during our stay. Weather was great! At various times during our stay and especially during our first couple of days we noticed that the number of clothed people was more than we have ever noticed in years past. Once it got to the point that we almost felt uncomfortable being completely nude (at a nudist resort). This visit, for the first time ever; we saw individuals in full regular bathing suits laying out in the pool area. While these covered individuals were certainly not the majority, it was still very unusual to see. Seems as in years past, full nudity was the norm almost everywhere, especially inside the pool gate. Even recall previously seeing a sign at every pool area entrance that proclaimed “Nude Area”. Signs now read “Nude only in pools and hot tubs”. Not really a fan of the clothing optional anywhere and everywhere rule as we usually spent our days completely nude while there. Clothed people at the Cove are like vegans going to a steak tasting festival. It just doesn’t make sense. The fact that my spouse’s comfort level was compromised to the point of desiring to cover up was very disheartening. We travel hundreds of miles and spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to enjoy our time nude. Vacationing nude is the one special aspect of the Cove that makes it what it is and what it always has been. I do wish they would designate some “nude only areas” once again, not just the water. Of course first time nudists need their time, but those we saw in bathing suits or full street clothes had no intention of disrobing. One out of 10,000 pool areas is made for nudists so why dress for the 9,999 and visit the one?

Now don’t get me wrong, the room was great and the resort grounds were well maintained. The bottom of the older pool looked a little questionable. Not sure if that was staining or what, but we decided not to get in that one. The large free form pool was great and was busy all week! As far as our room, we stayed in a villa that was very near the pool area. The walk to the pool and to Cheeks was short and convenient. Food was great and the staff was very nice and helpful. Music was great poolside and we were glad to hear newer music and not 50s or 60s tunes. I could tell they were trying to incorporate newer music and that was appreciated!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and of course we will be back. Only concerns were noted above regarding the “dress / undress code”. Otherwise, the Cove once again delivered! If you have never been, you should!
