The Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort boasts a prime location lauded by many guests for its proximity to local attractions and beach access. However, the charm of its location is somewhat overshadowed by the outdated condition of the rooms and the general atmosphere, with several travelers calling for renovations.
Opinions on service and cleanliness vary, with some appreciating the staff's efforts and others pointing out inconsistencies. Amenities receive mixed reviews, and guests have called out the resort for its high fees, notably for parking, which contributes to the property's reputation for being costly.

The salmon BLT at Don Rico’s was fantastic. I was able to sub for gluten free bread and the chips are delicious.
I had a little delay when I arrived and was waiting to get a server. I asked a different server, Felicia and she jumped right in to take care of me with kindness and efficiency. I am very grateful for her smile and care. It’s a big hotel with lots of guests who are typically overheated from the sun, and this restaurant provides a great respite with tasty food and efficiency. Thanks!

Wow, Wow! Wow! Let me first say that if you are thinking about going to Daytona on a vacation or business trip, I would highly suggest you reserving a room in the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. My wife and I went in July, and we had the time of our lives. I give special kudos to Mr. Erron, the front End Supervisor. When my wife and I arrived at the hotel, we were hoping that we would be able to get an upgrade and have a beautiful ocean view, and Mr. Erron gave this to us. Well. we knew that this was going to be a great vacation. The view was excellent and we were on the 11th floor! Well, all we had to do was change into our swimwear and hit the beach, which we did every single day we were there. Whenever we needed any towels, shampoo, etc., all we had to do was call the front desk, and they always answered cheerfully and immediately sent someone up, who made sure to social distance themselves when handing it to us. Everyone, let me dispel all fears, this hotel truly disinfected everything that they could within the room and the entire resort. They provided us with masks. Within the hotel there were things closed due to Covid-19, but we didn't mind a bit, because we came to Daytona to enjoy the outside and the water! Well, I must tell this story. I ordered a pizza, and the person called and said they were down stairs. I went downstairs, and immediately, I believe it may have been a manager, but I didn't get his name. He quickly asked if I needed help, and immediately he was going to have someone call the other side to see if the pizza man was on the other side. Wow, the staff at this resort is AWESOME! While I was there and putting things on Facebook, a friend text me and asked about the hotel, because they could tell it was beautiful, and I gave them information and said how great this resort was. Well, we went to Cocoa Beach and then Port Canaveral for a day, and returned back to our resort. Now, it was Saturday, and my wife and I had such a great time, that we wanted to stay another night. I went down and spoke with Mr. Erron, and we were able to stay in our same room and didn't have to move. Thank you Mr. Erron, and thank you Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. We would definitely return again!!

We had breakfast at Doc Bales and were completely impressed by the coffee, the food and the service!! At Big resorts who offer breakfast buffets we kind of expect to be grossly over-charged for a dining experience that’s just “okay” but hey, it’s convenient so you have to deal with it. This was NOT the case at Doc Bales. The hostess was friendly. Our server, miss Tina Williams, took the very best care of us - like we were guests in her house. She served us the most delicious coffee, helped us make selections to fit our keto diet and made sure my daughter had extra syrup for her chocolate chip pancakes! The eggs tasted fresh and were served with these amazing grilled tomatoes, super yum! Definitely worth it, we will be back!

Whatever you do do not stay at this Hilton Hotel find out it’s actually a franchise and not an actual Hilton which explains a lot because this hotel is Absolutely disgusting they are not cleaning properly checked in Late with a 2 1/2-year-old to a dirty disgusting room with hair in the sheets hair in the sink and in the tub they sent us over to another room which was even more disgusting. Which makes matters worse is that the management could care less. I think this is a general theme of this hotel. They gave us two nights a valet parking and some breakfast coupons. Then the general manager or his assistant would not return any emails or phone calls in regards to the situation. They had no interest in making things right. And if you read all the reviews this is a theme this place is an actual dump do not stay here unless you don’t value your safety and the health of your family!

Parking is a nightmare to star off. And the lobby is beautiful but don’t let that fool you. As soon as you get off the elevator you feel like you’re in a different hotel. The hallways are dark and the wall paper is stained and pealing off the walls. I hen the rooms are small with a balcony that you can’t use. The carpet are dirty and the wallpaper in the room and bathroom are stained and pealing. The tile floor in the bathroom is broken and stained. The tubs non-stick is non existent. Then the dining there is small and over priced. We got to the restaurant 1 hour before they closed and was told that it would be 10-15 minutes wait. Then an hour later we were told they were closed for the night leaving my family nothing to eat. Next morning went down for breakfast and the staff was not helpful with with my taking Dow our name to be seated. Then once seated the server was short and only came back to through the bill on the table and walk away. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Room was small and dirty. Chunks of cracker crumbs and long black hair greeted us. You are only given 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, and 1 small bar of soap for your toiletries. The toilet is infant size and very low. No microwave in room. You have to use the one near the front desk or at starbucks. They do have 1 loaner microwave for the entire hotel of 744 rooms but you have to go on a waiting list for it. We got oceanfront and I was so excited to sit on the balcony and look out at the ocean. Well, there are no balconies. Just a sliding window that lets the ocean breeze come in. The furniture in the room is pressed wood and very dirty and dated. The best thing about this hotel is it's location. Right on the beach and right near the boardwalk.

First impression was that the room was smallish, heavily used and very old. We could see the bed noticeably sag in the middle. We soon discovered that flushing the toilet caused dirty water to seep onto the floor from the cracked caulk at the toilet base. Maintenance arrived fast and we were quickly moved to another room. The bed in this room also sagged, it was lumpy and we could feel the mattress springs. The pillows went flat as soon as we laid our heads down. We were so uncomfortable and slept so little the first night that I tried to find another hotel for the rest of our stay but couldn’t. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so the mirror would fog when we used the shower. The ice machine was out of order. Even their television services are outdated. There is no channel guide, no on-demand movies and no on-screen account services. Interestingly, the Air Conditioner in our room worked great and was surprisingly quiet; however, the AC in the halls didn’t seem to be working. Except for an unopened “Lunchables” in the mini-fridge the room was very clean. The fridge is located on the floor and it’s impossible to see inside the back top shelf without laying down. The cleaning crew gets a pass, but they should provide a stand for the fridge to make it easier for guests and staff to access. Surprisingly, there was no room service available (labor shortage, I guess). All the services we did use were excellent. We called Guest Service to request robes and they were delivered in less than 5 minutes. We used the valet and our car was always ready by the time we got down stairs. The bellman were all very helpful and offered insights to the resort and the area. A cashier in the gift shop overheard me comment that I was looking for a specific item and during her break she went to the other side of the hotel to get it out of display case and held it until she saw us again (I was very impressed). Everybody we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. I’ve been a Hilton Honors Member for many years and have always felt Hilton brands were a great value; offering better quality accommodations and excellent service. I’m a little surprised this location has gone so long without a renovation. We were pleased with the service, but that’s irrelevant if you can’t get a good night’s sleep.

Your detailed review is much appreciated. We always want to ensure the most satisfying experience and clearly, we fell short in some aspects this time around. I absolutely love that our team's hard work and dedication shined through, and I definitely will convey your gratitude and compliments! However, I do understand your frustration with your room. Please accept our sincere apologies for any oversights as this definitely does not reflect our typical high standards. I will surely be looking into this internally so that we are always on point with our Brand. While I understand your hesitance, I hope for your reconsideration as I am confident we can restore your trust.

I needed a quick getaway from all of the pandemic stress...but wanted to do it safely. I certainly chose the right place. I stayed two nights at the Hilton Daytona Beach. I have stayed here many times but this was the first time during the Covid pandemic. The staff was amazing! Friendly, professional, but very conscientious about keeping everyone safe. The cleaning efforts are extremely visible also. My room was spotless and I saw staff members working to keep things sanitized throughput the stay. And a nice touch...I’m a Hilton HHonors Diamond member and the bag with bottled water usually given included a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Overall, the staff gave their usual excellent guest service and I appreciate your making my first hotel stay since the pandemic a positive experience. Great job Hilton Daytona Beach!

I was embarrassed that this property is the place I surprised my family with for our recent vacation.
Rooms are dated and gross.
I’m in my 30s and my back and hips ached after attempting to sleep in the beds for 4 nights.
Unless you want to drink in-room coffee from the grimy bathroom faucets, (you won’t) there is no coffee unless you sit for breakfast or pay $8 at “Starbucks”
There’s no cell reception and the WiFi is very poor. You cannot join a video conference. If you need to do any work, skip this hotel.
There aren’t chairs in the room. I’m not kidding.
No laundry bags or room service
Walls are PAPER thin. I could clearly hear the room’s conversations when they were in the phone. Beach is beautiful, but there’s no shortage of waterfront in West Florida.

We go to the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort several times a year. Our most recent stay was a quick one night visit to meet family from out of town on January 30 - 31st 2020. We always have a great check in experience. I apologize for not knowing everyone's titles. With that said, the people at the check in/out desk provide exceptional customer service each time we stay at this location. The check in/out desk is usually the guest's second person to greet them upon arrival, first being the valet. On this visit we arrived and there no valet attendant anywhere to be found. I walked in to the lobby all excited to be greeted by our family, but first we had to deal with a missing in action valet. I went to the front desk while my husband waited with the car and our family watched from the window puzzled why we were not running in to hug and kiss them. I was greeted at the desk by Erron. Erron is the supervisor at the check in/out desk. Erron could see the stress and frustration on my face and he immediately asked me how he could help. I explained that the valet drop off had no valet person there to take our vehicle. Erron immediately came out from behind the desk and walked with me to the valet area. He then saw as I said, that the valet was MIA. I dont know what Erron did, but in less than 2 minutes a valet person arrived and took our vehicle and valeted it. Erron provides outstanding service and we look forward to checking in and seeing him when we arrive for our next visit. One of the front desk people checked in our family members before we arrived. The rooms assigned to them, they discovered on the walk to the elevator, were for the other tower, and too far for some of our older relatives to walk. My relatives went back to the front desk, Erron seeing they already had room keys and luggage with them asked what he could do to help. Erron not only changed their rooms to a location with much less walking for a more pleasant stay, he gave them rooms with a beautiful view. Before we checked in, some of our family walked over to the check in desk with us and Erron remembering them, asked them their room numbers, Erron then searched the computer for a room for us on the same floor as our family. It was great all of us being only a few doors apart. The rest of our short stay was great and we can't thank Erron enough for all his extra help. We are Hilton Honors members and whenever possible, which is most trips, we stay at a Hilton location. The service from everyone we interact with is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. We look forward to more stays at this location and other Hilton locations that we frequent. Thank you. Marcia R.
