I am beyond impressed. The Inn owners are welcoming and will go out of their way to ensure you that your stay is comfortable as possible. The whole inn was completely spotless. There is cable tv there and you can control the temperature of the room that you stay in. The location is perfect. Very bus friendly. Buses that will take you into Halifax. I felt really safe there and I will be returning. I already miss it there.

Centrally located with shops, restaurants, pharmacy & grocery nearby. Thoughtfully decorated with a down homie feel reminiscent of visits to my aunts’ as a child. Great views from the oceanside rooms. Hosts David & Jenny are very welcoming and helpful.

This is a hidden gem away from the city ! We stayed in the Atlantic Wanderer room- cozy and clean! Lovely balcony to have a glass of wine and watch the fishing/lobster boats working. Cute walkable town with shops and great boardwalk near the water .Easy 25 minute drive to the airport! David and Jenny are such gracious hosts. Highly recommend this inn.

The room was as advertised, but the advertisement made it sound better than it was.  If you are looking for just bare basics for 1 night and need to be in Digby you might be ok here, but I still wouldn't recommend this Inn for many reasons.  The room and bedding were dated and had a scent that bothered us so much the entire time we were in the room.  I woke up in the middle of the night with a swollen and very sore throat, which I think was from the air or heat in the room – as it went away immediately after we checked out of our room.  The Inn didn't have room darkening curtains, and thus, it wasn't dark enough in the morning for us to sleep fully.  We also awoke to a lot of early morning fog horns – I guess to be expected in this location.  The Inn at Fisherman's Cove is on a cove, I certainly wouldn't consider this an Ocean Front hotel.  The add and pictures make it look like a cute, amazing place to stay – but it was not.  If you are thinking of saving money by staying in Dartmouth versus staying directly in Halifax, take it from me – the bit of extra money is worth it.  You would be better off staying in Halifax because that is where all the fun and good food is to be found.  Eastern Passage in Dartmouth is a small fishing place with a lot of boats and some restaurants – there is also a beach where people were fishing,  We took the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax – which is very doable, but you may regret it depending on your type of vacation.

We are very sorry that you have many dissatisfactions with our Inn. Although your comments confuse us, but how to comment is your right. One thing we need to point out is that we are not in Digby. If you are dissatisfied with anything during your stay, you can tell us at the first time, and we can try to do better, which will be better than expressing dissatisfaction with comments after you leave.

Stayed for two nights in an upper level corner room with views of the cove... Blue Heron Room. Had very nice weather which allowed us to use the outer deck, otherwise being confined to the room would have been crowded & there was just myself and hubbie. We are not large or tall people. First impressions was that we had found a great accomodation, but as the two days unfolded there were minor items that added up to a just average stay.
Rooms were small and rather tight for moving around in. Very comfortable queen sized bed and two bedside tables with a tiny desk and a huge chest of drawers which took up an extra-ordinary amt. of space. Bathroom very small with regular tub and shower combined. The room was bright and sunny with two large windows (one being the sliding door to the deck) which felt more spacious. This would not be a comfortable room in rainy or even overcast weather.
The inn itself is very small with 8 rooms. It seemed to be minimally soundproofed and it was easy to overhear conversations in rooms down the hall and next door...and very loud as people left their rooms and came back. The front desk actually closes in the evening and there is no one on the premises to deal with problems. There was also a very bright light left on in the hall outside our room and the light shone into our room all night through the wide spacing between the door and its frame. Between the noise and the light, it was difficult to wind down at night.
There are no ice or vending machines..we were directed to a convenience store to get ice, which cost us $2.50. Not much, but for the prices we were paying, this was annoying.
Views of the cove were interesting as this is an actual fishing village with boats moving in and out frequently. This whole area has been gentrified to appeal to tourists and most of it works. The boardwalk on the other side of the cove is lined with the typical tourist type of shops with trinkets, snacks, and souvenirs. There were several restaurants in the area, but we did not not try these and can't comment. The continental breakfast offered by the inn was ok..had a muffin and coffee the first am, but had to leave at 5:30 AM the next day and breakfast wasn't available until later.
This seemed to be the only newer accomodation around this area, and I don't think they've been open too long, so maybe in a few years and with other competition, the operation of things will smooth out.

Was not aware that some guests thought we did not remain on the premises while open. We do, in fact, have an apartment on the main floor of the Inn - just off the breakfast room. Appreciate the feedback.

We spent our last night in Nova Scotia there, at a fair price for two wonderful and well-equipped rooms. Get a room on the canal side and you will be delighted! Everything was perfect, the view from the balcony onto the fishing boats and Fisherman's Cove, the short walk to Boondocks, one of the best sea food restaurants on Nova Scotia, and the friendly staff at this little hotel.
The night and also the morning was very quiet, breakfast was excellent. We hope to come again!

My Husband and I stayed in the Blue Heron room for one night. We arrived at the airport in Halifax late afternoon and stayed here before going to our rental cabin.

The hotel has 8 rooms and is outside of downtown Halifax in the small town of Eastern Passage - about 15 min by car. It is on the water overlooking a 200 yr old fisherman's village. Manager / owner is not on site but lives a couple blocks away and is always available. They were very friendly and helpful to us.

The room was small but nice. Very clean. It is the top (3rd) floor (4 rooms per floor - 2 in front, 2 in back), main level has reception, breakfast area, patio.

Bathroom - both tub and shower. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash in dispenser in shower (better for the environment than all those little bottles).

Breakfast included - cold breakfast - toast, oatmeal, pasteries, coffee, juice, cereal, tea etc. Everything was nice.

Internet - free WiFi was available.

We had a good night's sleep - bed was comfortable. No noise - traffic, or fishing (off season). Due to overfishing the government now limits how long different areas of the province can fish. The fishing limit for this area closed 2 weeks before we got there and moved to the north shore of the island instead.

The fishing village itself has a couple of restaurants, gift shops, art galleries. There is a small convenience store right next door to the inn but to do any real grocery shopping is about 5 min away by car.

Would be happy to stay here again next time I am in the area.

We stayed here in August. We wanted to visit Halifax but preferred to stay a little outside the city. When you're driving to the Inn the area may seem a little industrial but trust me you will be very happy once you arrive. We had the two rooms on the third floor in the back of the Inn with balconies overlooking a small fishing village with boats, sunset views, restaurants and a few shops. There is also a little beach you can walk to. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. The Inn is close to the road but there is minimal traffic at night and therefore it is quiet for sleeping.
If you need anything just ask. Tammy is a wonderful host. She answered all our questions and gave us insight into everyday life in Nova Scotia. Make sure you try the home made croissants and banana bread.
I’d go back to Nova Scotia just to stay there. My friends felt the same way.

Greetings fellow Travelers!!
After staying many times at the Inn, I must say that Tammy the Innkeeper and all of the employees at the Inn were fantastic!! I felt very much at home and absolutely loved the view from my balcony of the fishing boats and the sea gulls. I must rank the Inn as an excellent B&B and a must do in Nova Scotia.
The rooms were very clean and there was more than ample parking. I enjoyed breakfast both indoors and out on the dock. The food was awesome and yummy, mostly home baked on the premises.
I met so many interesting people from all over North America and Europe, and enjoy that the Inn was so handy to dining, shopping and banking.
So much more to write about, but I assure you that your stay will be quite memorable!

Stayed two nights. Nice room with deck overlooking creek and fishermen at work, short walk to shops and Boondocks restaurant and others very good food and VFM. McCormacks Beach Provincial Park is 300 yards away and has a boardwalk all around. Bus to airport is 6 dollars one change. Tammy stored our bags the day we left, served us eggy bread in the morning. Well done.
