Perfect room (We had a suite) - which gave us ample room, a kitchen area to make a bite to eat and a small living room to chill. And of course amazing views over Sea Point.

Our room was cleaned daily, rubbish emptied and the staff were very helpful.

Note that they have no back up generators. We landed at midnight, during load shedding and the staff were really good. The back torches to take us to the room and brought our luggage up 15 mins later when the load shedding was over and the elevator was working again. This was the only time we noticed anything as all other times it was during the day when we were out exploring. The WiFi also still worked during the load shedding period, a bonus for sure!

The location was perfect for us, quiet, and felt very safe. Not as busy as the V&A waterfront, but we didnt want to be in too much of a tourist area so it will depend what youre looking for. There was a laundrette near by which we used to do some laundry, highly recommend mojo market (5 mins walk away) for food and entertainment in the evenings! And a cheap £1.20 UBER ride home in the evening. Note, ubers from here to main destinations in cape town was easy and really cheap, so it makes not staying in the V&A area even better, as value for money here is excellent

We stayed at the Bantry Bay Suite Hotel for 5 nights, and it was consistently excellent in all areas. It is in a great location, near to the funky and interesting Regent Street with bars restaurants and shops. The Atlantic ocean was literally down the road and we enjoyed our morning walks around the bay.
The food, service and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. Our suite of rooms was an unbelievable bonus - four wardrobes, a bedroom, large lounge, two bathrooms and a small kitchen. For the price, the whole experience was brilliant.

We had four nights here at the end of our stay in South Africa. Our suite was lovely, big lounge/kitchen area, separate bedroom and bathroom and sea views. The road outside can get a bit noisy, but nothing to detract from our stay. The hotel is a very short walk to the seafront and there are loads of great places to eat close by. It’s also a great place from which to explore the whole Cape Point area.

We were very well looked after by the staff, breakfast was fine with lots of variety (load shedding permitting!). Off street parking for 50 Rand per day and a small pool if you need to cool off.

2 * at a push!!!

I visit Cape Town monthly and I usually stay at the president but I thought this time I’d have a change as I’ve often seen the hotel whilst passing. I would never stay at this place again and I would advise you to avoid it too. I booked a penthouse suite (541) which I thought would be a little more upmarket than a standard room, however I couldn’t of been more wrong, upstairs bathroom smelt of sewage and no hot water throughout the entire stay, I advised the staff and was never resolved, even after telling them every day! Hotel manager was “too busy” to speak to resolve issue raised.
No atmosphere in hotel bar and breakfast room. Poor area is tiny!
The only positive thing about this place is the location which is sea facing and at a central location in sea point. This place needs a total renovation and to train staff on how to handle issues when they arise.
If you’re heading to sea point - do not book this place!!

Stayed at this hotel after reading lots of great reviews but was extremely unimpressed primarily with the complete lack of security. Anyone can walk into the hotel and use the elevator without proving that they’re a guest. I at one point left my key in the room and needed a replacement. Although I offered ID to get the new key I was told by a front desk employee who I had never interacted with before that this was not necessary. Overall the whole hotel needs a massive overhaul. The only thing in its favor is its fantastic location. Stay elsewhere.

Good day - firstly thank you so much for taking the time to give us some feedback. Terribly sorry to know you are not entirely satisfied with your stay. Your feedback about the lack of security certainly does not reflect the high standard of service and quality that we usually proud to offer. The Bantry Bay Suite Hotel is on 24hour security guide by SBF. In the case of a team member not requested an ID there are that the team member knows the guests that are in-house as we have their records on file and Every room key that is cut, is according our guests names. The safety and security of our guests is always our top priority. Great that our location was a positive. Our humble apologies your overall impression is not impressed. We hope that you will return in order for us to show you hospitality at its best!

We were welcomed with a welcome drink which was cold and refreshing. Booking in was done professionally and quickly. We actually arrived before the time and our room was ready. We stayed at room 325 which faced the main road in Sea Point. Although not sea facing we had view of what was going on in the street. Once the door was closed on the balcony we did not hear the traffic below. The room was spacious and clean. There was a microwave, stove and utensils if you wished to cook your own food or heat it up. Wifi was free and had good signal connection. The bed was comfortable and clean. It was one of our birthdays and Amanda gave us a surprise by arranging some cake with a card. This was very thoughtful on her behalf. The other guest stayed at room 104 which was next to the restaurant and faced the sea. The room was pretty much the same as ours. We did not use the restaurant as there is so many places to chose from as the hotel is so well situated. It is a walk to the beach. A swimming pool is downstairs with lovely lounges to laze about on. A Spa is available. There is secure parking. A big thank you to Amanda that made our hotel stay so pleasant. There is a laundry service if needed directly across the road from the Hotel.

Booked this hotel to celebrate a Birthday came to the hotel no electricity couldn't shower, couldn't do anything asked for a cake and petals but nothing was given , everytime we went to the reception to ask what is going on they kept on saying they working on the electricity issue which was going on for 4 and a half hours. We had to walk 5 floors up with bags because of this crap service. Suppose to be a 4 star hotel but got no service at all. I come from the hospitality industry and have experienced many hotels nationally and internationally but by far this was the worst experience I have had. After many made up stories by the staff as to why they don't have electricity, and telling their guests they cannot move them because there was no space available at any other hotel this is when I told their operations who I was how is he is lying to his guests, he had a duty to fulfill his guests needs however kept spinning stories, until I made a few calls of various hotels and people I knew in the industry and they offered us accommodation, however Bantry was definitely not going to fork out the extra money as their rates were to low to accommodate alternative accommodation. Once I laid down all the rules, policies and procedures was when they move quickly to restore the electricity.

To top it off, I was in a penthouse suite but my room shower handle was broken, our door couldn't close, the bottom bathroom door could close you had to life up the entire door to slot it in. The TV in the top room signal is so terrible it blurs out and you cannot even watch a movie.

There breakfast buffet is very limited for a 4 star hotel, they have a very very basic variety.

To he honest this hotel which is managed by total stay is appalling I would not wish for anyone to experience what my group and I have experienced this weekend. Due to no electricity we lost out on a reservation at another restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday because we couldn't shower and get done due tho them, at 8pm then said they will send us to there sister hotel Latitude for supper when I came back to reception to tell them to inform their sister hotel we all going to shower and then walk over their Operations manager then says oh but they close at 8.30pm, so my question is why would you say at 8 that we could supper at their sister hotel if he knew they would close at 8.

Watch out for this place!!!!! There star grading should drop to 2 star.

My wife Espe and I chose the Bantry Bay suites after considerable research of Cape Town hotels for our destination wedding accommodation. The communication with the hotel's reservation manager over a difficult 16 month period was highly professional warm and friendly. We received an excellent discount for a block booking which the hotel honored for 20 guests over a year later. When we arrived all the staff had been briefed and we were treated like royalty. There was a minor problem with our toilet flushing, and we were upgraded to an amazing Duplex suite. We were given complimentary wine for our pre-wedding gathering and two complimentary hotel bicycles for touring the Cape.
The hotel staff couldn't do enough for us in terms of hiring taxis, making telephone calls, photocopying and replacing misplaced room keys ! The hotel provided maximum comfort and cleanliness; great rooms with awe inspiring sea front views. If you want a honeymoon or a special occasion celebration at a great price, such as a wedding, and you need top care and treatment look no further than Bantry Bay Suites Hotel for your accommodation needs

We give enormous and heartfelt thanks, and a massive appreciation to the Reservations Manager; and everyone of the staff at the Bantry Bay Suites Suites hotel for their exceptional care and dedication in enabling Espe and I and all our guests to have a dream wedding celebration and adventure. There is a brilliant team atmosphere at the hotel and the staff do their work from the heart, going the extra mile for guests, with exemplary personal style, warmth and dedication !

The hotel and staff made our wedding dream come true and we will remember them all with thanks and love forever.

About four or five kilometres from the city centre but close to the sea and local shops so perfect if you want a quieter location. Rooms are large, ours was lounge/dining, bedroom and bathroom. Clean and with sea views.
Staff very friendly and welcoming so overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you

One other thing, the hotel arranged their driver, Desmond, to pick us up from the airport. A great guy and he took us on several more local trips, great chats about cricket!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night staycation. We stayed in a duplex luxury apartment. Unfortunately our suite only had a side sea-view if you stood on the balcony but i did have a peak into one of the other duplex suites which does have a wonderful view of the ocean. Our suite was very clean and everything was perfectly maintained. We had two bathrooms which was lovely (one with a shower and the other with a bath). The mattress was a lot firmer than we are normally used to but has lovely comfortable pillows and linen. The sleeper couch (extra charge) is very comfortable. There is an extra charge for secure parking at a daily rate of R60 which is worth the cost for the convenience and peace of mind. We found the hotel to be value for money and we highly recommend it.

Hi, the hotel is child friendly but I don't know about cots and high chairs. There were lots of kids so I'm sure they would have those facilities. You can email them as well. They respond quite quickly on queries. The room we used had a sleeper couch for our son. It is large enough for three kids and it is not very high from the floor. reservations @ thebantrybay . com
