We stayed in the lodge for one night as part of a 10-day trip in Costa Rica and loved it. their little piece of land in the Jungle is amazing and their mission statement is admirable. highly recommend to walk around the property and explore it on your own, as well as passing by the outside restaurant which served us with good coffee and great authentic Israeli food. also, they arrange trips and attractions so keep them in mind when planning your trip through Costa Rica. for us, they planned the whole 10-days and gave us a well worth package with all accommodation and attractions included. so generally, highly recommended.

This is a beautiful property operated by the group of owners, who live here.

They love animals! The trails are beautiful and it’s an exceedingly peaceful place. I enjoyed three nights here in early May, hiked all over the trails (some if them quite challenging) and felt safe the whole time.

The have many activities (look for a package on line. When i called they didn’t offer this to me) and also a lot of animals. Kids would love it. The pool needs some TLC and the jacuzzi is now a “children’s Pool” (i wouldn’t want to soak in a kidddy pool, especially if it were warm!).

But the place is a nature beauty and quiet and peaceful, delicious food. I really enjoyed my stay.

What a wonderful place! Friendly staff and AMAZING food. We only stayed two nights but wanted to work our way through the whole menu which is extensive (not something vegans are used to!!) The chef, one of the owners, came out to speak with us and was so friendly. She told us of the history of the place and the great work they do here operating a no-kill sanctuary for hundreds of dogs cats and other animals that have been discarded for one reason or another.
The rooms were clean and large. The shower decent and the bed very comfortable.
The lounge is airy and whilst the furniture may not be to everyone’s taste, it was comfortable.
The pool was clean and at a lovely temperature, cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough not to have that oooh moment when getting in!
The hotel also helped us with transport both from the airport and onto our next hotel and there were several guests doing a variety of tours/activities.
There are a lot of dogs who happily bark at any human going near them. Whilst this is audible from the main reception, the rooms are no doubt purposefully located at the other end of the resort and therefore this did not affect our sleep.
Would highly recommend both for vegans and non-vegans as the menu is designed to be palatable for meat eaters but without killing any animals.
A perfect place to relax and be at one with nature. Thank you Lands In Love!

Totally run down place, you cannot even call it a hotel.
The cabins are very old, everything looks ancient and dirty.
There were stains and hair on the sheets when we arrived. When we asked a cleaning lady to change the sheets, she took them, cleaned them somehow and brought them back with wet spots.
Our friends next door had a wet mattress with wet bed sheets as well.
Dust was everywhere.
Night stands were covered with sticky dirt.
Lamps were covered with dust and did not work. On the second day somebody fixed the lamp, but did not bother to clean the dust.
Black mold was in many places in the bathroom. Base of the shower was extremely moldy.
The sink was cracked.
The flash tank valve in the toilet was broken and water often did not stop pouring.
Shower head is the cheapest possible type that you never see in hotels and was rusted to the point that you don't want to touch it.
The walls in the room were dusty, with dead insects stuck to them. Spider webs were on the ceiling above the bed headboard.
Anything you touched was sticky and filthy.
The hangers that were not broken were covered with black mold.
When these complaints were presented to one of the owners, he replied that it is a 3-star hotel, not 5-star. What is the reality in which they live? Where is the 3-star hotel they claim to run? Look at the photos. The only word that comes to my mind is “disgusting”.
Even after the conversation I had with the owner, there was no attempt by the staff to remedy the situation. I noticed a senior staff member checking other rooms (probably for similar complaints), so I asked her to inspect our room. After seeing the condition of the room, she promised to report it to the owners, who would then contact me—which they never did.
Unless you wish to ruin your vacation, stay away from this “hotel”!

It's in the middle of the jungle full of the best adventure activities! Lior Esh was a lifesaver! The best Tour operator I call her from Jaco Beach, and she helps organize my trip while I canceled plans because we needed covid testing to enter the United States.
She plans us a private trip that is fit for a family with kids age 8 and 10.
Lands in love are great places to do extreme, friendly people, clean, and the best food I eat in Costa Rica.
The place is beautiful, full of animals, nature, waterfalls, rafting, canyoning, zip line, and ATV.

The worst thing is that the company that owns the hotel charged us $ 3500 for private tour services. That was more than a year ago and was canceled because of the corona - but never bothered to return the money to us. All the time promised to return but nothing happens.

We stopped here for lunch enroute to Arenal. The food was lovely! So tasty & filing. It’s a full veggie menu - we’re not vegetarian; we eat most things but love healthy, tasty, natural food, and this fitted the bill! My only feedback on the menu would be to change it so that the dish names aren’t impersonating meat dishes......seems a bit weird and probably confusing if you don’t no the menu is fully veggie. Service was nice too. A great find!

Such a beautiful place!!! If you love amazing nature, animals and great vegan/ vegetarian food this is the place for you! Also, they have an awesome adventure center.
I really enjoyed being there!!!
If you want to help the animals there - they have an animal shelter and they take care of so many abandoned dogs and cats and other animals as well. You can volunteer there or donate to help the animals.

An incredible hotel, designed with great attention to detail. The nature around it was beautiful and you could do a lot. Whether visiting the animals, rafting, zipline, horseback riding, hiking or canyoning, there was something for everyone. The activities were unforgettable. The view at the zipline was breathtaking, as was the river at the rafting or the canyons. You should definitely try it out. In the restaurant there were dishes from different nationalities like costa rican, mexican or israeli, but also simple italian. We tried a lot of things and no matter which nationality we chose, breakfast, lunch or dinner, it was always very tasty. The shelters were designed with so much love and the income goes to the animals. It is a win win situation from my point of view. You are committed to animal welfare and have an unforgettable time with super friendly staff.
