This hotel has a huge garden with swimming pool right in the middle of the historic centre of Olinda. Rooms probably need refurbishment, but the price-quality is excellent. We enjoyed the safety feeling, the fact we could park our car inside the compound, the gentleness of the staff, the swimmling pool and the amazing garden. The restaurant offer is quite basic traditional food, but there are so many options at walking distance that this is less important (we recommend Beijupira). Will definitlely come back if we go again to Olinda. Breakfast is up to standard for the price paid.

Pleasant hotel in an oasis of gardens around the pool. The welcome was friendly and the rooms clean with an outlook onto tropical plants. The rooms are air conditioned.
There was no issue of mosquitoes in February so long as normal precautions were taken. On one evening the meal was very slow but thereafter, no problem.

We loved Hotel 7 Colinas! Great Olinda location next to the ancient Franciscan Convent and walking distance from the historic Alto de Se, beautiful mini jungle ambience with a fine pool for an end of day dip, excellent food, great service and rooms with all that we needed including a balcony. Thanks to the wonderful staff including Rogerio and Josias (“The Flash” at the breakfast service), and to the very nice couple who own the place, building out the historic property to meet their dreams. We hope to return someday. Very highly recommended for an Olinda/Recife visit!

Great hotel. Amazing grounds and swimming pool. Terrific food at breakfast lunch and dinner. Decent rooms. It has an old worldly charm. I recommend it. Everything works well and I really liked this hotel. Friendly staff and well kept ground. A real jewel

This is the best place you can find to stay in Olinda. This hotel is very well located in Olinda : all the touristic places and restaurants are within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is wonderful : surrounded by a tropical garden which is peaceful and very relaxing, the swimming pool is also very enjoyable. There are also a fitness room and a pool located in the middle of the garden. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Some of them have been renovated very recently. The breakfast is varied and tasteful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They allowed us to stay the whole afternoon and to check out late in order to wait for our flight back to France. Really, you don't need to look for another place than this one in Olinda.

We loved the Sete Colinas. We had a standard room which was fine; decent size and comfortable, with much needed air con and a balcony. The hotel itself is well designed - modern, in beautiful self-contained grounds with a great pool. Breakfast - a buffet - was good, with entertainment from little monkeys that come to be fed. We ate in the hotel one evening and that was good too. Lots of interesting trees in the grounds - look out for the sign saying 'Beware fruit'! There's also an old house in the grounds that's a museum about the owner family; very interesting. The hotel isn't cheap but we thought it was good value for money - and well worth it. Highly recommended.

We've just returned from a 10 day visit to Olinda, Brazil. We stayed at the lovely Hotel 7 Colinas which is probably the nicest hotel in Olinda. The rooms were spare but comfortable. We had a small patio where we could sit outside, and it also came in handy for drying clothes. The bathroom was adequate, but we always noticed a rather nasty smell coming from the water when we used the shower. Although the rooms are nothing special, I gave a high rating to the hotel for several other reasons. First, the grounds are absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical vegetation. The pool is absolutely beautiful and became our frequent refuge when the heat got to us. Secondly, the hotel serves a huge, fabulous breakfast every morning with all manner of Brazilian treats. The price of the breakfast is included in the cost of the hotel so it's quite a deal since the good restaurants in Olinda are quite pricey. Thirdly, we found all of the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and helpful in every way.
The only major drawback was that the air conditioner in our sons' room did not work the first night and still didn't work after the maintenance people worked on it for 3 hours. However, our sons were able to move into another room immediately where everything was in working order. Be sure and test the air conditioner when you first arrive.
The hotel was well located in the historical district of Olinda so we were able to walk everywhere which allowed us to get plenty of exercise. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot speak to the quality of the restaurant other than to say that it seemed rather pricey.
To sum up, the rooms are nothing special, but the grounds, pool, location and fabulous breakfast make this a great place to stay when visiting Olinda.

This place is wonderful. The team is great and very helpful. The green area and the pool makes you feels you are in a spa. They also have a sauna and gym. All around nature. The bedroom is simple but cosy, bed is very comfortable. I defientely recommend and will come back.

We loved this hotel. We were able to walk everywhere in Olinda from the hotel and always felt safe (travelled with one child). Supermarket was about 20 minute walk and we stocked up on water and fruit.

The hotel restaurant was so good that we ate there most evenings (our child loved the spaghetti!). The buffet breakfast was great too. Really set us all up good for the day.

The pool was amazing. We loved it. Garden area tranquil - we did not want to leave!

Staff were very helpful and did their utmost to communicate well with us in English. They booked taxis for us and advised us on where to go and how to get there.

There was a computer you could use for free in the lobby area which was useful.

Room and bathroom were basic for the very high price but prices seem to be high everywhere! However, pillows and beds were VERY VERY comfortable. I am very particular about beds and pillows! I wanted to take one of the pillows home! We all slept extremely well here, except for the night a very loud tourist arrived next door (thin walls) and obviously didn't care who she disturbed in the middle of the night!

We stayed 5 nights and apart from that one night, we had a fantastic stay. Our room also had double doors that opened out to a small balcony overlooking the garden - beautiful. There were also 2 ceiling fans in the room (we had a family room) and aircon. The fans were brilliant and kept us all cool and mosquitoes out.

Would love to go back one day.

Very relaxed hotel in the middle of town, feels like in a small jungle as surrounded with palms and trees, very secure with pool, gym and other facilities. Breakfast is truly amazing and just couldn't get enough. Beautiful place.
