Having stayed in VH Emerald on a previous trip, we wanted to stay again but as the hotel was being sold and despite our best efforts we had to book for 9 nights elsewhere.
Unfortunately after one night the new hotel was unsatisfactory and we walked into the Emerald to see if we can stay our remaining 8 nights there.
Mia was on front desk and was able to accommodate us. We stayed in the Riverview Deluxe rooms (adjacent) and our stay there was fantastic. Post Covid and post sale there were hardly any guests so pretty much had the resorts to ourselves.
This hotel is big enough to have all the services you need but not so big that they are people everywhere and large paths to walk. Its close enough to walk into the center of town and night markets but with none of the noise of people and traffic.
Because guest numbers were low , breakfasts were al la carte but believe they will resume buffet when there are more guests again. Breakfasts and poolside food were all tasty
The beds were comfy and poolside cocktails fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We used the hotel bikes once to cycle to Cam Kim Island and they were in great condition. Laundry across the road for US$1 per kg
Resort gardens were in need of maintenance but they were beginning this task during our stay

Last visit was in 2016 and here we are again February 2023 for 9 nights. It is a really wonderful resort, nice pool, rooms are a good size, and amazing staff. Breakfast was included with a nice selection of fruit, cereals, hot Asian style food, bread, croissants, cakes, yoghurt - coffee, teas and juices. The chef, Dung, made the eggs on request with a very cheerful smile - perfect start to the day! The other restaurant staff were delightful too, Uyen and Trung so happy and always collecting plates and making sure everything was to our satisfaction. A real pleasure.
The Reception Staff were very helpful and Hoai the Office Manager would chat to us within the resort and make sure we were happy with everything. They all made our stay very special.
Location is perfect, close to the Old Town - 7 minutes walk but if you do not feel like visiting when the crowds arrive for sunset then there are also restaurants and bars plus a night market very close by.

Our stay here was perfect! The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels, bikes were available to use for free, and breakfast had a wide selection and someone cooking eggs to your liking each morning. This hotel gave a resort feel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool area was absolutely beautiful. This hotel is located about a 3 minute walk from the night market and all of the restaurants in old town. Despite being so close to everything, it was so quiet and relaxing. The staff were friendly and the massage in the hotel spa was the best I had the whole time I was in Vietnam. If you need washing done or want to hire a motorbike, I highly recommend the family owned shop directly across the road.

We stayed here for a total of 2 nights with a family of 10 people. On arrival we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff who made us welcomed and settled in. The breakfast buffet was reasonable but it was made so much better with a young lady by the name of Miss Thu Uyen who was attentive, polite and softly spoken. Due to this hotel/resort being so new we did not have hot water for 2 rooms which some people made not require and happy to do without. We were informed that it is currently being transition from solar to electric. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, the staff are all wonderful but special mentions to Hoai on reception and Tuan who helped with bags and opened the doors for us. The location is so close to Old Town and night market and there is so much variety close by for restaurants, bars and massage, even lantern making. Only reason for losing one star is the pool was very warm ( I know they generally are but this was the warmest out of all of our hotels) and also they did not put cushions on day beds and egg chairs that face the river which made it uncomfortable.
Happy hour is great, and the breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend this hotel especially if you have anyone with mobility issues as there are floor ground rooms and the pool is easy to get in and out of.

This place is fabulous. It is a little oasis on the banks of the river. It is just the right distance (5 min walk) from the madness of old town Hoi An. The rooms are large and clean, we had a front line river view which is a must as you can watch the sunset from your balcony. The bathroom was clean but a little tired. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with a mix of local and western food. Other plus points are a free boat tour at 10:45 every morning which is great but be sure to book the day before. The also put on a free street food buffet by the river at 4pm everyday which is a treat.

The Emerald staff were excellently attentive and very kind. Facilities were clean, morning breakfast was delicious, and the pool was scenic. Very helpful for local recommendations! We were able to rent (no extra cost) their bicycles and leave our bags with the front desk after checkout. Highly recommend!

Very good hotel nice and roomy in the bungalows and the breakfast is amazing. Tuàn was a pleasure to meet every morning in the lobby exiting and entering the hotel. Highly recommend. Everything is very close to the hotel so no need to walk very far and they include free bicycles with rooms.
