Detailed Reviews

We have stayed at Anini Raka Resort for 4 nights.
The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from Ubud center

Must say that the crew is very professional, we had a lot of questions and they made sure we will know everything every time (even at night)!
Everything was very clean,
Bed was comfortable, AC was awesome.
Near the pool there’s a great Restaurant that cooks wonderful Indonesian dishes.
The Shower has great hot water, Room was big, and we had place to put the luggages.

The Hotel is really well designed. Everything is inside the jungle, everything is very green!

Don’t need anything else.
We will come again for sure,
Thanks for everything.
Shachar and Adi.

The view is what I liked the most! the rice field view and garden makes the place has natural beauty and brings such a good impression and image about Ubud, Bali. Hope that the service will be better tho!

I spent two night here on business trip and I must say that everything is excellent. The hotel sits just ideally location with 5 minutes drive away from Ubud main street. It is a beautiful oasis nestled amongst lush green rice paddies. From the balcony I could see rice field and could hear the birds singing in the morning, it was lovely to sit out with a cup of tea. This hotel might suit those enjoying a family trip but I would definitely recommend this hotel to others having a business trip.

It's truly a great experience staying in Aniniraka for 3 days. My family and I stayed in Aniniraka during the weekends and I can assure you that it is a best experience for me and my family. The hotel has two swimming pools, good Wi - Fi connection, and a floating breakfast. The hotel overlooks rice field, so it helps you feeling refreshed during quarantine. Would love to come back for another business trip in Bali. Thank you Aniniraka!

I have been staying in other hotels around Ubud. So far, Aniniraka is the best hotel to stay in my personal experience. The room was clean, the accomodations were great, they also had some cool activities too, like Cooking Class &  Private Daily Tour which my partner and I just joined. My most memorable moment so far in Aniniraka. Thank you Aniniraka, hopefully we can visit you in near future.

I stayed at Anini Raka for a week in March 2012. I was looking for somewhere quiet and outside of the central Ubud area. It was certainly quiet (although this is the off-season in Bali), as for two of the nights I was the only guest. This may have something to do with the ongoing building works to extend the resort. First, the good news - I was upgraded free of charge, the rates were very low and the building noise was minimal: it's all being manually constructed, so no heavy machinery noise. Also the hotel was very flexible about the free shuttle service times to/from the town, and the staff were as helpful as they could be. The pool is small but pleasant, but you'll have to walk past the building works to get to it as the hotel is built on a narrow strip of land: rice field to one side, empty land to the other. Next the bad news - facilities are minimal: the WiFi only works in reception and then hardly at all (forget Skype, for instance), and breakfast is not that great. Room decor is pretty basic, and the more cleanliness-minded patrons might not be too impressed. Spa not in evidence.
As a frequent traveler to Bali in general and Ubud in particular, I would have to say there are more quality resorts available at about the same price. May be better once the building work is over with and the 'new' resort settles down. In that case, think 2013 before visiting.

The staff - Awesome and very helpful. On time service and very accommodating. For the price of the rooms , it was a great stay. Breakfast was also tasty and good. The resort is located 15 mins from Central Ubud and hence, quiet for peace lovers. Many spa and massage options in walking distance. Bikes for rent, sim card, taxi , bintang supermarket or any activity bookings (Ld Ubud), everything was at walking distance from the hotel. The Campuhan Ridge walk was also 10 mins walk from the hotel. There is an Indian restaurant right in front of the resort, however we did not try the food there. We had an early checkout and they prepared breakfast box as requested. Overall stay was good. Value for Money.

Breakfast was not buffay , we were given a choice either of Indonesian breakfast, american, etc. However, it was tasty and was served to us on our table. Some renovation was going on in the hotel, hence it was noisy during the day time but that was also okay , as we were out most of the time during day. Location was not in central ubud, so if you like the market and restaurants nearby then this is not the place for you.

Denae S wrote a review Aug 2014
I stayed at this hotel for five nights/six days with my boyfriend. We are both in our 20s and spent a lot of time out in the town and doing activities. It was always a pleasure to come back to our hotel; the staff are absolutely lovely and so eager to please, and always greet you with a smile and ask you about your day.

We had room 112, which was a 'deluxe bungalow'. It had lovely views of a rice paddy and was situated about halfway between the entrance/front office and the pool/restaurant area along a lovely little path.
Firstly, the positives:
1. The aircon worked really well, which was great for the warm nights.
2. The bed was fairly comfortable and we slept well.
3. The mosquito nets around the bed were good but we didn't need them. There weren't that many mosquitos which was surprising considering the amount of water around the place.
4. The bathroom was large and made almost entirely of marble which kept things cool.
5. As I said, the staff were really lovely and made our stay enjoyable.
6. The shuttle service was amazing! They will drop you off into central Ubud and pick you up any time you call, which was super convenient. It is definitely a walkable distance between the hotel and central Ubud but it is uphill along some crappy pathways which can be a little treacherous at night or in the heat of the day.
7. The rooms were generally clean and bins were emptied every day, beds were made etc.
8. It was very quiet at night with the sounds of nature and no traffic. Great hotel for anyone that loves being close to nature.

Now the less positive points (none of which I thought were important/significant enough to alert the staff to):
1. The toilet couldn't quite handle having toilet paper in it and being flushed, and tended to 'run' indefinitely unless you fiddled with the flush handle. Bali plumbing is not like Australian plumbing.
2. Sometimes the air con had water dripping out of it, but we did have it running almost all the time so that was understandable.
3. Sometimes there were small ants around, but these were gone every day when housekeeping fixed up the room.
4. Sometimes the WiFi was a bit touchy, it tended to either drop out or weaken at certain times but everywhere in central Ubud has Wifi so that wasn't a huge problem.
5. The shower head was a little crazy. It's an open shower (inside the bathroom) but I'd suggest taking it off its holster and using it like a hose, otherwise the bathroom will get soaked. We didn't use the bath.
6. We had a massage in the on site spa which was okay (had to book an hour in advance) but there are even cheaper and nicer places in central Ubud along the main roads so I'd suggest venturing out to the city and walking around to find somewhere else.

Honestly it wasn't as bad as some people on here say; conversely, it's not as brilliant as some of the reviews suggest. We had a great time here, and the staff were great, and the shuttle service was great. If you don't have super high expectations you'll be fine. I'd stay here again happily.

I stayed at Aniniraka Resort and Spa at this month. Many families stayed there and enjoyed pools. This hotel made us relax because room is very spacious and this hotel is far a little from Ubud central. But shuttle bus service is very convenient. As you say, shuttle bus services run 1 hourly to central Ubud from 9AM. Then if you call Aniniraka Resort and Spa, shuttle bus service from Central Ubud to hotel is available. But this hotel has some weak points. Bad smell and breakfast is so so. But this hotel's service and staff overweigh them. I really recommend.
