The location is ablsolutle magic. Staff is friendly and the shuttle to Ubud comes very handy. We hade a very elaxing holday experience. Just within a few minuites from ubud where you find many restaurants and entertaining establishments. We prefere the tranquil location among the ricefields after a plesant trip to Ubud. If you need a recharging of batteries away from the mad experience in Ubud this is the place.

I stayed here for a week and couldn't recommend it more. The location is absolutely beautiful, right beside some rice terraces! Being in the swimming pool while the sun is setting over the rice fields was amazing. Me and my girlfriend value peace and quiet and this place had that in abundance. It is well away from any roads, all you hear is the animals. The staff are what make the hotel. They are absolutely amazing, so friendly and always willing to help. They even went to town and got cigarettes for us which was unbelievable. The food is top notch as are the cocktails albeit a bit on the pricey side (for Bali). The shuttle to Ubud is very useful, free and punctual. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would urge anybody else to stay!

Stayed here for 1 night just for relaxing my mind after a hectic week.

The lobby is spacious, clean and there's an unique statue beside the reception desk. The check-in was smoothly because the reception was great and details.

The room is clean and comfy although is not same as the website picture but I enjoyed the night.

There's a lot of food for breakfast, like nasi goreng, chicken nugget, noodle, bread, jam, etc.

The place is quiet, natural and amazing! the open-air, lush garden and bird sounds make the good vibes if you want to find a calm and relax place.

Last but not least, keep it up!

The houses need renovation, especially plumbings, although the rooms are clean. The water in the pool wasn't clear and the machinery was not on all the time, which probably made it worse. The spa made a total mix-up of times and many in our group missed their appointments due to double bookings. Breakfast was rather basic, but ok. In the evening the restaurant staff did not know much (we explained what a gin and tonic is...) and entrees and mains were brought to the table either all at the same time or entrees after the mains. The surroundings with the rice fields were pretty. The shuttle to center worked very well.

We have worst experience in this resort, Rooms size are quite good but A.C. is not working because that is not appropriate with rooms, there should be 2 A.C. as per room size, pool was not clean, breakfast for vegetarians is only bread, I asked for milk for my baby they told it will be changeable.
Worst restaurant services, they have no buffet for breakfast and just taking order and after order taking 30 to 45 minutes .
One should not visit

The resort is placed in a remote Ubud area and you will not find any easy access to any of the amenities outside. The hotel staff do not even know how to serve a beer. They get it delivered opened and warm beer in your room stating that it’s chilled. Menu shows ample of items yet you will not get even half of it available. The room is surrounded by ants, lizards, grasshopper etc. I tried reaching out to the GM - Petros, informing him the situation, the staff said he is at home.m and later he texts my wife with a threatening message over WhatsApp stating that if u continue complaining like this, you will have to face consequences as it is Bali not India. He clearly tried to harass me and my family being racist. When the waiter asked me to sign the bill, I said I will sign it after getting to meet the GM on which he said, we will see you. Is this the type of hospitality a person expects from a hotel? I was traveling with my Wife and infant and after this threatening message from Petros (GM) and the waiter, we couldn’t sleep all night and had to check out early in the morning. The private pool was also very dirty as if it has never been cleaned since it was made. This has been the worst ever experience for me and my family.

I chose Bhanuswari Resort & Spa every time I travel to Bali and I have returned to Bhanuswari five times in the last four years. Bhanuswari is renowned for an extremely high level of return guests from all over the globe. Why? Because you are treated with respect like an honorable family member – possibly better than some of all our own families. Nyoman Suweta, Owner/Managing Director, Management and staff are dedicated to meeting all your needs with ease. Bhanuswari is located just out of Ubud in the quiet, peaceful and beautiful area of Tengkulak. No hustle and bustle here! Just laid back tranquility offering outstanding customer service, delicious food, free shuttle to Ubud, several pools, various room options and villas, activities (all your activities can be arranged by Bhauswari) and a lot of love. My daughter and her fiancé visited Bali and spent one week in Bhanuswari and the second week in Kuta. After their week in Bhanuswari they decided on their next trip to Bali to dedicate their entire stay at Bhanuswari only, as they enjoyed the simplicity, no fuss attitude, undivided attention from staff and management, the caring family energy of Bhanuswari and it is accessible to everything. They were able to swim and play together frequently in one of the several pools which they had all to themselves. They were keen to have a scooter ride in Bali but were hesitant of traffic etc., but at Bhanuswari they could practice safely on the grounds then branch out to the local village and eventually felt secure to head into Ubud with confidence. I was disappointed to see that there is a bad review for Bhanuswari Resort & Spa from Donny130 Martinez, California. I am sorry for his bad experience but Bhanuswari was an innocent victim of a hacker, a previous employee, who was let go for dishonesty. I can talk from first hand because I, like others, received a very suspicious email from the hacker requesting money but we all knew that Nyoman Suweta is the most honest, loving and trustworthy being who would never ask of anyone for money or to pay money into an unknown bank account.
So I recommend you experience Bhanuswari and all its magnificence for yourself and soon you to will be saying ‘Come Home To Bhanuswari’.

I went to there with my hubby at the beginning of May. It was a long drive from Air Port and passed by many villages. The resort is right beside the rice fields. If you are the type who likes to buy quick snack or love to have convenient stores near by, then this is not your cup of tea. The shops are at quite a distant. The resort is not on the main road. You have drive further into a small road. The good point is no noise or whatsoever. When you wake up and open your door, you will see the sunrise across the rice fields, and so is the sunset. The room was clean but the bed was a bit hard. The salt water pool is small but OK for me.

The staffs are very friendly and service is prompt. Surprisingly there are very few mosquitoes. Even so, if you have dinner at the resort, they will put mosquito repellent coils near your table. The resort also provide transport service if you wish to tour around Ubud or any part of the island. The price depends on where you want to go. Our drive, Kushti, was very friendly. He would remind you of any tourists trap, what to avoid, etc. The staffs would go extra miles to serve you. At one time, we wanted to try the famous "Crispy Duck" of Bali but we run out of time for the day. Kushti helped us arrange with resort and have the dish delivered to the resort. We just had to go back to our room, take shower and there, the dish is ready to be served. We would not be able to find such service in many other hotels, I must say.

We had couple spa and it was great. The price was also reasonable. How we wish we would have planned to stay at Ubud a few more days. We will definitely go back to Bhanuswari when we visit Bali again.

I had a very bad experience with the owner of this resort, Mr Nyoman Suweta. He asked if I wanted to look at wood-carving in near-by Mas. We went to several wooding-carving shop and I bought 6 nice wood carving. I told them I could only buy them if he would mail them to the USA for me, since I was leaving the next day for Jakarta. He agreed to mail all 6 (small) wood-carving to me by Monday of the next week. I gave him $240 for shipping and insurance. He said this was enough money and he would ship the packages to me in the USA. This was about 3 months ago. I Emailed and asked to see the invoice to verify that the packages were mailed. He wrote pack and said the packages were mailed, but it would take 3 months before they arrived. He never sent me a copy of the shipping invoice. I still have not seen a copy of the shipping receipt. I wrote and asked again to see the shipping invoice, but he never answered my Email. He just wrote back to me and said the wood-carvings had been returned to him and he wanted another $200 to ship the packages. In other words, he is either trying to steal my wood-carving or he is extorting another (stealing) $200 from me for shipping. Do NOT trust this man. I was stupid in trusting him. I thought he was honest, but he is not. The hotel is far away from UBUD and it is difficult to get to the city. The breakfast was average and the hotel was nearly empty. I think people understand this is not a good place to stay. The only thing worse than an obvious thief is a thief who pretends to be nice, but then tries to pick your pocket. Give this place a miss.

What a disappointment. Although the setting is beautiful & serene nothing else was. Stayed in pool villa. Pool was the size of a bath & in the front of villa open to all & sundry walking by with no umbrella or outdoor seating. Not really a villa, it was a very small bedroom with ensuite attached & open front verandah with a dirty daybed . No light in villa except a bedside lamp which you couldn't read by so left bathroom light on which luckily we did as had to use bathroom in the middle of the night only to find bull ants swarming everywhere yes even in the toilet bowl & seat I mean everywhere. Spose to stay 5 days left after 2. Poor room amenities, no wi-fi in room, uninspiring menu, limited breakfast.Compared to elsewhere we have stayed for the cost, this is 2 star at best.
