Just back from a fantastic weeks stay in Kuta Puri Bungalows!
Having been to Kuta on a number of occasions I had viewed this hotel and said I would give it a try on my next visit to Bali.
The hotel is one of the original Kuta hotels so it’s built in the style of a Balinese Garden so it’s very nice and peaceful even though in the centre of Kuta, the gardens are immaculate and maintained daily by the Gardeners and make the hotel a lovely place to be. The pool area is in the middle of the complex which consists of 2 pools one of which has a fantastic pool bar where drinks and food can be ordered to have poolside or whilst sitting in the pool!! The pool area is also a lovely place to just chill out with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and shades.
The staff at this hotel are fabulous, everyone is so friendly and they all work hard to make your stay very enjoyable.
The reception area is open and welcoming and the staff there are so helpful. The hotel uses keys with room number tags on them which they encourage you to to leave at reception whenever you are off the property which for security is a good idea and also means you get to know the reception staff during your stay.
I stayed in a Luxury Bungalow which was just by the pool and it was huge! Lovely sleeping area with sitting area and a 4 poster bed with mosquito net round it. There is a dressing room with wardrobes, fridge and very easy to use electronic safe. The bathroom is semi outdoor with the shower being the only completely outdoor facility. It is very private so no worries about privacy. You do just need to always remember to lock the bathroom door when you leave the bungalow for it to be fully secure however it’s simple enough to do so by just always leaving the key in the door. But security is not an issue at this hotel and you always feel the place is safe and secure.
Housekeeping made the room up every day and replace the 2 bottles of water and always provide fresh clean towels.
I honestly could not fault this hotel for its staff, facilities and accommodation it is to a very high standard and well worth the money. This hotel always comes up at a cheap price compared to others but I can assure you it’s worth more than the cheap prices you find for a stay here. I would also recommend checking out the hotel website to book direct as I got a fabulous deal on the bungalow with breakfast which was pay on arrival and free cancellation.
The restaurant is ok, a bit more expensive for a beer than other places nearby. Breakfast is ok, it’s nothing special however if your just looking for a start to the day there is plenty of Cereal, toast, coffee, juices. A fresh egg station is also an option and the kitchen will make you some other cooked items on request.
So overall if your looking at these reviews because you have found a cheap price for this hotel which is 50 yards from the beach in the main area of Kuta then honestly book it with no worries cause you will have a fabulous stay in Kuta Puri.

We loved everything about Kuta Puri. The staff, from reception to gardeners to pool bar to restaurant and cleaners - everyone friendly, helpful and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful, spacious amd immaculately kept. Our accommodation was ground floor grand deluxe rooms which were huge , clean and well equipped and we also had a royal villa which was just stunning and allowed for all the family to hang out in as well whenever we wanted. The pool and pool bar is awesome - fresh mango daiquiris 2 for 1 go down a treat! Food can also be ordered from the pool bar and the restaurant in general was great - large portion sizes and tasty. Breakfast was also a great selection with hot dishes that varied daily. Location on Poppies is handy to many attractions and close to the beach. Airport transfers included is an added bonus. Loved our stay, highly recommend and are planning our next stay already :)

Spent 3 nights in a Jnr Bungalow. It was spacious and hidden at the back of the property for privacy. It was surrounded by grass as were the entire grounds. Loved coming across squirrels by day and frogs by night. Cleaning and bar staff were lovely. Reception not so much. Breakfast was basic with restaurant located on Poppies so noisy. NYE compulsory dinner a total rip off for $50aud per person. Small selection. No fancy items like suckling pig as you'd expect for such an occasion and price. Would stay again as location was brilliant but not on NYE if the dinner is compulsory.

We had a wonderful 5 days at Kuta Puri, which is located in Poppies One. The grounds are so well kept and the rooms are very clean and huge. We stayed in a Luxury Bungalow right near the two pools. Both pools are really clean and one pool has a swim up bar. There is everything you need outside of Kuta Puri, it's in such a great location. Two minute walk to Kuta Beach and many markets and restaurants close by. We were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary and my husband mentioned this to the reception staff. On the day we were blown away when entering our room the bed was covered in rose petals, spelling out Happy Anniversary. After such a lovely surprise, 5 minutes later the hotel delivered me a big bouquet of flowers. So thoughtful, thank you Kuti Puri, you made stay a memorable one, which we will never forget. Third time back there now. As soon as we get there we're relaxed. The villas are really good and definitely worth paying for (still cheaper than most smaller rooms). The staff are mostly lovely and we found the security guys extra friendly this year. Only gripe was when we went to check out at 5am the 24hr staff member was asleep on the floor. When I woke him up he wasn't helpful as it was much more important that he needed to mend his watch! Luckily the driver was extra friendly just like the one who picked us up when we arrived. Will be back next year.

My wife and I stayed at the Kuta Puri for six nights and we cannot rate this hotel highly enough. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to ensure you enjoyed your stay. The gardens and pool area are amazing with many mature palms and frangipanis. Breakfast options varied each day and were always hot and tasty. Cannot wait to return to our new favourite traditional hotel in Bali!

Lovely hotel located in busy Kuta but as soon as you step inside the hotel you find yourself in a beautiful peaceful oasis. We stayed in a room upstairs and it was very easy getting up the small amount of stairs. Had a balcony overlooking the lovely gardens and it was so peaceful sitting out there. What I love about this hotel is that they work hard to maintain everything. It is a traditional hotel but everything is so neat and looked after.

I highly recommend Kuta Puri Bungalow and Spa. I have stayed there several times over the last 25 years, and I am glad I chose to stay there again. It was easy to get to the hotel from the airport, and the check-in process was good, even though it was late at night. There’s a 24-hour mini mart right outside the gate, and restaurants nearby. I stayed in an upstairs standard room, and it was very nice. It was clean and spacious, with a good balcony. The breakfast was decent. Although Kuta can be hectic and noisy, this hotel is quiet and calm. The grounds are beautiful, with a fantastic pool area. And, it’s a 3 minute walk to Kuta Beach.

The staff were not it, very rude and misleading, not to mention that they couldn’t even be respectful of the fact that some people have limited money and I still got overcharged when I arrived. The tap water isn’t even clean and the attitude on the front desk staff was horrible. No compassion for my family and I, who were exhausted from just travelling to another country to have a relaxing holiday and celebrate a birthday, but instead got disgusting behaviour from staff. I also had unnecessary comments for asking for a refund because I got overcharged when I arrived to the resort. The so called free taxi was a mad ripoff as well, it wasn’t free at all, I still had to pay for it to get to the resort in the first place. Ontop of all of that, the front door to my room doesn’t work properly and takes forever to “lock” it fully. The staff need an attitude check. I shouldn’t have to worry about how to stretch my money out because the resort wouldn’t give me my money back for overcharging.

This place is really good and over the last 12 years we have visited it at least 7 times. We have never been disappointed and always try to spent here some days when we are in the neighborhood. The breakfast is not the best thing here. Although what they serve is good, miss the nasi goreng or bubur ayam in the morning.
