After reading some of the reviews on here I felt it was even more important to leave a review. I stayed here as a single female usually in Hurghada I am subjected to a lot of unwanted attention and was concerned after reading some of the reviews posted on here. Whilst staying in the hotel I received absolutely no hassle at all from anyone in the hotel. The sales people yes whilst they can be annoying they are only trying to do their job. A firm no thank you and they were on their way. There are red flags you can ask for which will stop them from approaching you a very bive altogether which they will respect.
The staff in general are fantastic there are not many hotels out there that will be there with a new drink for you ready as you have finished. The service I received was exemplary. Aside from checking in and checking out which were both smooth transactions I had no further dealings with the reception staff.
I spoke at length with Mike from guest relations after he took his time to come and speak to me round by the pool a very nice man who knew exactly what he was talking about.
The main thing that let's this hotel down is the food, which I think they are already aware of but really need to do something about it.
Serving cold food and food that isn't cooked properly is never a good thing. The food is far to repetitive too.
Breakfast and lunch is better in the Italian, dinner is bettee in palma main restaurant.
The specialist restaurants (Italian, oriental etc) are a waste of time there is nothing Italian nor oriental about a mixed grill!
Having a set menu and telling you that you can choose is great until you choose and they tell you they will bring you the mixed grill because its 'special' there was no point giving me a choice really was there?
And as for me clearly stating no tomato due to allergies multiple times they still bought out a mixed grill with a tomato on the plate and then subsequently tried to remove it from the plate with a spoon from the next table.)
I feel the animation team is too small for the hotels they don't have enough time to talk to people or get to know people I feel a lot more people would have engaged with the activities.
Sort the food out and get a bigger animation team that can cope with how many guests you have and you are onto a winner with this hotel!

Hotel is really good. Nice beach. Only thing we didn't like is that they serve drinks in plastic cups. Food is good, I wish they have Egyptian sweets every day, we liked it a lot and Egyptian food is so delicious. Rooms are clean and housekeepers are doing their job really good. They have nice area for snorkeling and also about tour trips they have agency based in hotel so you don't have to bother yourself about leaving out and searching for it. We visited paradise island and also there is an option of 4 days training program about diving licence. Entertainment is on a level. They have volleyball, darts, french ball game, stretching and yoga, latino dances. Every member of the team do every activity. I must say yoga is better then in other hotels. About the night show we didn't like belly dancer, we have seen much better then her. Also they did a really good job about dancing part because guests were dancing with entertainment. I must say Felfel have a really good skills about making atmosphere on the show, the other one we didn't understand very well. Anyway both of them are friendly and helpful. Sellers from the store outside of the hotel are too pushy so we recommend you just don't pay attention and walk fast if you are not interested. Hotel has everything you need, onlu internet you have in loby and you should buy if you want it in the room. We wish they opened internet for the whole hotel. Definitely good place to get some rest, we think we will come again.

I stayed at El Palacio for a week and it was great. The staff is very friendly, hard working and funny. The animation program was interesting, they took us to a night club with organised transport which was safe and we didn't have to worry about anything. Alex was the best!!
The only thing is that the rooms are a bit oldish and need some renovation, they look different than the pictures online.
The whole trip and experience was awesome and we will come again...

This was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in, in Egypt and ever! I’m normally too lazy to write reviews, however I don’t want people wasting money and nerves staying here. We paid extra for a sea view room but the night we arrived they were all occupied so we had to change rooms the next days. The hotel is in a desperate need of a renovation. The food was absolutely awful, but that’s if you even get a table at the restaurant! The hotel is absolutely humongous with 2 or 3 restaurants but be ready do queue for 15 min to get into a restaurant, or if you go into the main restaurant queues of 15+ people for the salad bar or omelet station for breakfast. Beach towels are almost impossible to get, no matter time of day! Unless you get very rude it’s almost impossible to have them do anything. You don’t get clean towels or toilet roll with the room service, instead you have to phone reception 5+ times and wait up to 3 hours for someone to bring it to your room. And so it goes on… needless to say, I DO NOT recommend this hotel and will NOT ever stay there again.

Due to COVID 19 the capacity of the hotel should be 50% but the hotel was very crowded, the restaurant was full of people it was very hard to have an empty table at the time of dinning.
The COVID 19 precaution 0%, no one is wearing a mask nor check if people use the sanitizer before entering the public area.
The quality of food was very bad and disgusting without any varieties. We made a complaint to the manager about the quality of food.
We ate in the Italian restaurant the next day but we got a burned pizza after waiting an hour and half even the restaurant wasn’t completely full. The waiter got me a chicken pizza instead of margarita when I told him this pizza isn’t mine, he asked me you will not eat it !!!!!!
The staff wasn’t friendly and was awfully rude.
We were a group of 8 people we booked a month before our trip date, we asked to have the 4 rooms close to each other but actually that was a very hard mission to the reception team!
We get rooms in different building and section we where too far from each other.
The room service was very poor and didn’t change our towel every day. He cleans up the floor without changing any towel or bed sheets.
It’s a 4 stars hotel but its didn’t deserve the 4 stars at all.

We stayed 10 days with my husband, the location of the hotel is perfect, pool and private beach very nice. But the staff is incompetent, when we asked for something everybody gave us a different information (they actually didn’t know anything) the food is horrible !!!!! Everyday the same food, even in the restaurants inside the hotel is the same food: rice et chicken. The quality of the food is so terrible (except maybe the chinese restaurant). The room was not really clean mostly the bathroom inside our room. The staff come EVERY DAY EVERY 15mn disturb you during nap on your sun bed to ask you if you want to pay for spa or activities. When you buy something (fruits or shisha) they always say they don’t have change and they will come back (actually they hope you say keep the change) Anyway, I would not recommend this hotel even if there was few nice person in the staff.

Total disaster in everything! Every single peace of food was an awfull cheap crap without taste that you need to wait in lines for a half hour to get it and we basically were forced to go out and eat in the local restaurants where you can find normal good food. In every bar not a single drink was ok. Starting from the awfull caffee, they use the cheapest crap and they pour it in a plastic cups everything warm and ofcouse with awfull taste. Facilities and hallways were dirty. Rooms were with damaged equiptment. Housekeeping didnt change the sheets, they just mop the floor once a day and thats it. If you dont give some tip to the deceitfull staff, maybe they wont put toilet paper and watter for the day. Even if you do, they give one toilet roll and 3-4 small watter bottles. They claim that this is 4 star hotel but in reality this level of bad accomodation we didnt saw anywhere in the world. We needed to stay there 10 days because transfer wasnt possible due to full capacity in other hotels. They ruined our vacation.

If I should rate this hotel, I would rate it with max 6 out of 10.
Rooms are not looking as in the pictures, very old furniture, cleaning is not done properly. Even if it is mentioned you should receive 4 bottles of water / day, the guy expects money to provide it. Is cheaper if you buy water from the store.
For each service, even if its included, everyone expects tips, if you give them only 1 -2 € they are not happy.
Different treatment for their people.

+ The view from the rooms are very good, the cleaning of rooms was ok. The breakfast in the Italian restaurant is good, one of few working women made my omelette every morning, thanks to you! I think that the stuff did their best from the circumstances and that this hotel has to do radical changes in management if they want people to come back. I definitely won't and its a pity because it was my and my familys first time in Egypt and I think the country has more to offer.
- The food is absolutely terrible, the worst I have had ever. I tried to check out earlier and spoke to the manager to get money back but he suggested we should eat in the a la carte restaurants instead. We went out for dinner the rest of the stay, except the last night when we eat in the Mediterranean restaurant and that was the absolutely worst dinner of them all. The Ceasarsallad f.e had two ingredients; lettuce and three pieces of small chicken with gristle. When we eat in the main restaurant there was no custlery and sometimes we had to search for something to eat with for 15-30 minutes. The main restaurant was like feeding cattle. The wine that is served (if its served, often you had to go to another bar to get wine) is terrible. It tasted like a bad wine mixed with equal water). The drinks are chemicals with water and maybe a small amount of alkohol. When we checked in late at night there was no water in the refrigerator and I hade to call reception two times before we got water after two hours.

Hotel that I liked very much. The territory is large, there is where to take a walk, you can go to your neighbors and use their infrastructure, there are warm pools and heated slides, which helped a lot on especially cold days, of which there were about half of the whole holiday. It has its own lagoon, but it's not interesting there, probably when it's warmer, it's good with small children. We swam from the side of the open. I can’t call water warm, probably on the verge of cold,We swam from the side of the open sea, when there was no wind. I can’t call the water warm, probably on the verge of cold, but warmer than the air on the shore, there is no super beautiful reef, they went to Utopia Island along the way in suits, it’s beautiful of course underwater is indescribable, only tours w we found everything on the Instagram page midokairov, much cheaper, the service in the hotel very high level and the rooms , it is very close to the center of the city.
