We stayed at the Rotana Beach Hotel Abu Dhabi the last week in January. We arranged our own
30 minute transfer (Uber £30 with tip ).
This is a high quality hotel in every department. Our room in the Tower Wing was spacious, very
comfortable and contained everything needed for a luxurious stay. We had the Dine Around
Package ( all inclusive ) and it was definitely the right choice. Great value. The dining options
offered in the package were outstanding as was the service throughout the hotel. We are
seasoned travellers and have never experienced such high quality, all included, dining before. A 3 3 couse a la carte Lunch can be taken in 4 of the signature restaurants or by the pool at Bay view or there was always the extensive buffet at Essence .
So much choice!
Everything was delicious.
The pool and beach area are spotlessly clean with plenty of extremely comfortable sun loungers served by attentive waiters. In fact all of the staff were wonderful.
This is a superior hotel, thoroughly recommended. We cannot understand all the negative comments.We will definitely return next January.

We visited this hotel in 2010 and was so delighted to find that nothing has changed in fact with the dine around package the whole experience improved. The quality of the food was excellent as were all of the staff. We stayed in a club room and the staff's attention to detail in there was second to none with all of the clients they have they still managed to remember our breakfast & evening drinks order. The choice of restaurants was better than nearly all of the all inclusive hotels we have stayed in. Michael, Sandeep, Anthony and all of Lucky's team are first class. Our housekeeper was also exceptional. Anyone who has visited this hotel and has a problem with the dine around package is extremely hard to please. The location of the hotel is ideal for the the theme parks which we visited and for £20 by cab there is no room for complaint. We will definately be returning next year.

We visited mid March just before everything started to change.
We were greeted by a really friendly gentleman on reception - wish I could remember his name as he was very helpful, when we needed to cut our holiday short.
The surroundings were lovely, and everything seemed "normal" on arrival, albeit a very discreet temperature check at the door.
The room was lovely, and the bathroom was spacious, no complaints at all.
The reason, I have not given the hotel 5 stars is the AI package almost made us feel like we were not as special as guests who were not on the package. The travel agent sold this to us as AI +. It was not, we were given a different menu at restaurants and the drinks selection was limited. I don't like to be told I can't have something when on AI. Anyway apart from this the food was fabulous in every restaurant and am just gutted that things changed whilst there. The glasses were changed for plastic/paper cups and cutlery changed to disposable.
It was at this point that we realised we needed to fly home, as we started to feel uneasy, Nothing to do with the hotel or staff, but when the pool and beach shut we made arrangements to fly back.
I wanted to personally thank the concierge, who made sure that our transfer would come and take us to the airport, as our TA back home couldn't confirm it.
Would love to return under less stressful circumstances.....whenever that may be!

I have stayed at this hotel for many years, beginning in 2011. And, I have held a Rotana Rewards Exclusive card from that time.
The hospitality and upgrades for members were always excellent. The accommodations with attention to detail were always excellent. However, during the present stay, the hotel has seemingly lowered its standards. The slippers provided now are cheap instead of the great black padded slippers previously provided. The bathrobe was missing a loop so the belt trailed on the ground. The ChromeCast didn't work the entire four days of the stay. Tall glassware was propped on a sliding drawer and promptly shattered all over the cabinet when accessed. The toilet flushed in a way it splashed onto legs and floor. On the first day, after fully checking in and providing our GCC Civil IDs, reception called and woke me up to tell me they need passports. On the second day, the security chain fell off the wall. I ordered two 0.5L bottles of Perrier from the room service menu at a cost of AED 64 ($17.44) and they sent Pellegrino, apparently they cannot track their stock.
Upon calling Customer Service regarding the issues, the phone programming is faulty and gives a fast busy signal, always. Finally dialed 0 and a person answered who could not understand or acted as if they didn't understand simple English like "room access door security chain, or Perrier not Pellegrino." The Chromecast problem was always a half-an-hour from being fixed, for three days, and never fixed.
The prices have become ridiculous as well, AED 55 ($14.99) for a small bowl of chicken broth soup and AED 95 ($26.97) for a hamburger.
Truly, a disappointment in comparison to the excellent quality of the room and prices experienced for years.
It is still a fantastic location with the pool and beach and excellent restaurants located within, but it appears they are skimping on appurtenances and service staff for hotel patrons.

Location: The hotel is approx. 1.5 hour from Dubai Airport and is in the middle och the town Abu Dhabi. Connected to the hotel is Abu Dhabi Mall for shopping and the city itself which is not so nice for strolling around, but taxi is quite cheap so you will get around if you want to.
Hotel: It is a 5 star facility, very nice reception, and even though it is a very large complex with hundreds of rooms that is hardly noticeable. There are a ”beach” but it is a local channel not the sea a large swimmingpool makes the relax area outside very nice.
Lots of restaurants in the hotel, all food are of high quality and alway well cooked. We specially liked Rodeo Grill with perfect grilled steaks, Prego Italian were you can sit outside and Bayview at the swimmingpool, always nice personnel and in Bayview Miss Blessing was a treat with a big smile.
We recommend to buy the Dine around/All inclusive option since it is very expensive to eat and drink, lunch can easily be 150USD and dinner 200-300 USD, a glass of wine 12-15USD
Room: We choose a room with view over the river/channel with a balcony, on 17th floor, quite large room with all facilities you need. Beware that wall are paper thin so we had to move once during the week due to a family with small children.
We stayed one week and really enjoyed it.

I recently stayed at the Beach Rotana hotel with my mum for a week. The hotel is in an ideal location literally attached to the Abu Dhabi mall - it was very easy and fairly cheap to get taxis to all of the tourist spots we wanted to visit. The staff were very helpful in assisting us to navigate our way around Abu Dhabi and planning our days. We were on a bed and breakfast package and the breakfast was great! Lots of good options - particularly for us as we are vegetarian. Being guests of the hotel we got 20% food and drinks in the hotels restaurants too, we went to indigo Indian restaurant and pregos Italian restaurant which were both delicious! Trader vic’s bar was also great and had an extensive range of cocktails. The pool area was lovely and clean (a special thank you to Michael and Ester that work at the pool bar who were so attentive and entertaining!), In fact the entire hotel was clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much to all the staff for making our holiday a memorable and relaxing one! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Abu Dhabi!

I am a frequent guest of Hala Arjan and this time as the hotel was fully booked, I thought I will stay in Beach Rotana. I am an Indian and there was no Elfocit in the washroom. They said they will fix one and the maintenance guy said that it will take a lot of time. We came there to celebrate the new year's eve and we didn't want to spend a lot of time in the room with people coming and going. So I told them not to do it. The buffet breakfast had no dishes at all and they give things only if we ask. For example, they don't keep the packets of cheese or butter outside. They gave it only if we ask. We ordered cheese omelet and they gave us uncooked egg omelet. At last, I asked them whether I can get a late checkout and without even checking, they said no as the hotel is fully booked and some guests are checking in. I checked in booking.com and I found the same rooms available on the same day. I have a very good experience from my previous stays in Rotana, but this New Year, they made me really sad. There were no enough utensils in the kitchen. So many reasons to rate them terribly.

An easy 30 minutes transfer from airport. Hotel professional at all times even at 6.00 am checkout. Spotless and excellent measures in place regarding corona virus. Outside areas well managed plenty of sun loungers and staff helped move umbrellas etc. We went dine around'. Superb restaurants if you I can afford the upgrade do it you get a limited selection of drinks cocktails included as extremely prices otherwise. A big thank you to all the team we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and you all worked very hard to maintain strict levels of hygiene in an unobtrusive way which was very reassuring.

Hotel is well located in the city to move about and literally 10 minutes from Louvre Museum which was key to our visit. I was excited to experience the beach and pool day however we spent most of time waiting to check in and feeling disappointed until the sun was gone. Check in was for 2pm, we arrived to check in at 2:30pm but rooms were not ready because they were still being cleaned and or trying to get guests to check out. We only managed to get to our room at after 4pm. The views and ease of access to the facilities was not what we expected based on the room adverts. There was no communication from staff on experiencing the facilities at the hotel like telling us that it would be advisable to book a table at the restaurants if we wanted to have dinner within the main hotel restaurants. The hotel is lovely but service for entire period was very very underwhelming and frustrating...we could have just gone to cheaper place and managed our expectations.

Stayed here for 6 nights at the beginning of January. Arrived at 8am and our room was ready for us. We stayed on the 13th floor of the main hotel, which had brilliant views of Abu Dhabi. The room was big and comfortable and the bathroom was big enough with all the amenities you’d expect. The shower did have a wet dog smell about it though that didn’t seem to go away!
The mall can be accessed through the main lobby area which is handy, especially when we had a rainy day!
The food here is very good, we were on a half board basis so ate breakfast in Essence every morning and then ate in there either at lunch or dinner as you can swap these over. It did get a bit samey after 4/5 days but then most buffets do! We ate dinner in the Brauhaus German restaurant and also Pregos Italian restaurant. Both very good service and food with massive portions.
Brauhaus also offers 50% off selected drinks from 5-7pm and the atmosphere is really good in there. They also show all the live football which is a must for me.
The pool/beach area is really good. Very clean with lots of sun beds. There is the typical sun bed war present though so be warned. Another thing to consider is the sun sets behind the hotel at around 3pm so you’re in the shade for a lot of the afternoon.
All in all it’s a very good hotel and worthy of its 5* status. I’ve stayed in a few Ritz-Carltons in the Middle East and I would say they edge the beach Rotana, however for location alone, I would return here.

Hey I’m Essex too!! I feel it is the same restaurant for the all inclusive and depending on the time of the year you can dine outside. There are shed loads of awesome restaurants in Abu Dhabi and the Ham hock in the Bruehouse is awesome!! Enjoy a Paulaner especially during happy hour!!
You can ask for a non smokers section. The bar there is smokers though.. depending on what time of year you go you can sit outside. Just ask for non smoking they will sort you out. Staff there are amazing
