We stayed 4 nights with our 2-year old daughter and really enjoyed the hotel and its facilities. Room was great, only thing was that the bed was a bit too soft for us. We had half board included and both breakfast and dinner buffet were great and varied. I suggests the hotel place a sanitizer stand as there are so many guests who eat at the buffet and share the same cutlery when filling their plates. Will recommend half or full board as there aren't many restaurants nearby without a taxi ride and the prices in the cafe at the reception and the hotel restaurants aren't cheap! Will definitely recommend the hotel to everyone planning af holiday vacation in Abu Dhabi

Stayed here between Christmas and New Year for some much needed sun.
The hotel is around a 30 minutes taxi ride from Abu Dhabi airport (around 100AED from airport and 80AED to airport).
We arrived early in the morning around 7am and were lucky to get our room by 10am. Our flight home was also very early and they kindly let us swap our breakfast from our last morning to our check in date which let us have breakfast while our room was being prepared.
Our room was on the 14th floor and included an amazing view of the Presidential Palace and Emirates Palace. Room was very clean and the king sized bed also had the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on. Bathroom had both bath and shower enclosure. Room service also ensured that we were never short of toiletries or bottles of water. Turn down service was also provided but we found that this was hit and miss, with some nights not being done.
Food at their main restaurant, Horizons, is good but not a stand out. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and continental dishes. However I did find the cooked eggs queue to be irritating long. There should be more chefs cooking. Hash browns, which are my favourites, were also consistently bad each morning. Dry and not at all crispy. We also had Friday Brunch at Horizons which was also good but nothing special.
You do need to try their middle eastern restaurant, Kamoon, though which does excellent meat grills.
Given the limited food options available at this hotel we opted to eat out most nights. The nearby Marina Mall (a 30 minute walk or 10 AED taxi ride) has a variety of restaurants. We also dined at Etihad Towers and at the Intercontinental (Fishmarket is a must visit for seafood lovers).
The pool area is very large. However, a lot of sun beds are “reserved” very early on in morning which really annoys me. The pool staff should do more to stop this.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Khalidiya Palace. Whilst there are some annoyances this is still a great hotel.

Stayed here for a long weekend in early March. From the moment we checked in the staff were very attentive and helpful. Our room was on the 17th floor with a balcony looking over the beach area. The room was large and had usual basics of minibar, ironing board, robes, safe, small kitchen area etc etc. The hotel and grounds as a whole were very well presented and clean. Food was also very good and plenty of choice. We chose to eat out at the Marina Mall some nights which is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minutes in a taxi (approx 10-15 dirhams). Transfer by taxi to/from airport is around 90-100 dirhams. The break at the hotel was excellent and would recommend. A few points to note are that the is a DRY hotel and does not serve alcohol. Also, there are water sports available on the beach - predominantly jet skis ... a few of these are VERY loud and can become an annoyance whilst relaxing on the beach (these are not standard jet skis ... they have been modified and sound like F1 cars !!).

We visited the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan a few days ago and experience just awesome services from the moment we arrived. I would suggest you take the rooms on the Palace side to avoid the sun blaring down on your room. We even managed to fall sleep without the ac being on. The little private beach and amenities are in pristine condition. The pool area are shaded by lush green palm trees and the areas were in tip top class. Restaurant services for breakfast were of a high standard given that we currently all have to abide by the Covid rules. The restaurant staffs eagerness to assist you were greatly appreciated.

We stayed for one night on a weekend. it was our main choice because of the beach facilities. On arrival the receptionist upgraded our room to a room with balcony on the 16th floor, with amazing views of the emirates palace. we had our dinner at the horizon restaurant and it was lovely too, the burger in the red bun was fantastic, the tomatoes soups and they even made my kid the pizza he asked for which wasn't in the menu, similarly the breakfast was delicious. All staff were very friendly. As for hygiene they check for hygiene, masks and temperature whenever you will access the beach, or enter the hotel, comfortable and clean rooms , and beds they provide towels but we had our own , because we are a bit phobic from the virus. my kid enjoyed the beach a lot it was our first stay there and we would definitely return :)

I loved the measures that have been implemented to keep every safe. It is clear staff have been trained to a high standard in these new measures, a great team effort. The room was sealed after cleaning and no one else entered before your arrival.
The pool and beach are both stunning and I loved my room that looked onto them. My room had a large balcony that was a safe space to sit and relax. At both the pool and the beach the loungers have safe seals so you knew it had been sanitized before proceeding to sit. I really enjoyed the food, it was so tasty and even though all of the restaurants weren’t open there was a great selection to choose from.
There were only two small things about my stay the first that my online check-in I completed the day before arrival on the Rotana app never updated on the hotels system so I spent longer at the check in desk and had to complete the check-in process online again. Secondly, you can’t park your car until check in was completed, the front of the hotel was busy where you had to leave the car while you waited for check-in.

My family and I stayed for two nights at the khalidiya palace rayhaan by rotana - as soon as we arrived the service from guest service but also the rest of the staff was perfect. We were given a room with a balcony overlooking the presidential palace, the rooms are spacious and very clean. We appreciated the huge pool and private beach which enabled us to enjoy the facilities that were not crowded and were calm. Staff was very attentive to details, giving us water since it was hot and complimentary treats during the afternoon. Finally, the hotel is safe regarding covid-19 - everything is sanitized and everybody respects wearing of masks, hand gel … Special thanks to the general manager who has been more thank kind to us as he helped with our Covid 19 green pass registration and went the extra mile by resolving a slight issue we had with TV Great location, service, food and room Many thanks

Stayed 2 nights 3 days in the hotel for me and my boyfriend. I booked a room which is a premium room plus king bed coz it has a kitchenette & I need to cook foods as I am celebrating my 24th birthday. The night before our check in I called the hotel. First, they said the room will be available after 6pm! And there’s nothing they can do! So I told them that i need the room before 6pm bec i need to cook foods before 5pm! After how many minutes of giving them time how they can resolve this... they said that they will put us in the temporary room first. the guy from reception told me that the temporary room (classic room) has a kitchenette so i can prep & cook foods there and transfer later on to the room category that i booked. But when we arrived in the morning, Youssef from front office told us that it has no kitchenette. As i dont want to ruin the day and dont want to argue anymore i just said okay. We checked-in to temporary room around 11 pm.. He said that they will call us once the room is ready and we can transfer.. But after 2pm we didnt receive any calls from the front office. Me and my boyfriend are the one who went down to the lobby and asked them if its ready and if we can transfer. I also put a note in my reservation that I am celebrating my birthday so a small cake will be highly appreciated. But when we arrived in our room there was no cake. You need to call them to ask again if they can give you one.🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Lastly, the lady from the pool side, I think her name is Esther, I asked her many times if my 2 friends can go with me in the pool/beach side just to roam. Just to show them the nice view of the area. Bec we also want to try the water activities. But she didn’t allow us! I needed to ask the lady from the front office if she can talk to her colleague and allow us to roam around the area only for 5 minutes. Knowing that this is a 5 star hotel, there’s no initiative from the staff! But there are some people who showed their excellent customer service, i just want to give thanks to Christian (from front office) who helped us with our things! Moved from one room to another. Debbie (from front office) thank you for the smooth check out! And for allowing us to late check-out till 2pm. Julie (from front office) for the birthday greeting and being so friendly. There is also a Filipino guy which I forgot the name from the pool side who assisted us at the pool and the way where we will pay for the water activities! Rooms were large, spacious, clean. Beds were comfortable. There is a bathroom and a shower. The dining, reception areas, family areas, cafe on the ground floor are always clean and it all looks very grand. There is always space to dine and the breakfast buffet is regular filled up and stuff is made fresh. Outdoor seating is also an option and something we did everyday. All staff were great especially Ram who was so friendly and helped us find and arrange places to eat in Abu Dhabi. The swimming pools are always clean, there were always lifeguards there watching and making sure everything was safe. The pools are big enough and kid friendly. The baby pool is covered which is great and its next to the playground. You can order drinks and food for lunch by the pool and beach. Its good food - standard beach type food. The staff always quickly cleaned up empty bottles from tables. There were enough swimming pool side seats although we had to go grab them first thing in the morning to get the best spots. The cafe is open late. Every member of staff from reception, taxi/valet, cleaners were so helpful and polite. One of our rooms got upgraded to a beach front view because they didn't realise we had booked 2 rooms on the same floor, so they upgraded to ensure our rooms were near each other.

All was great (staffs,foods in horizon,facilities,room,location and ambiance) except the breakfast menu on our 2nd time which is on our 3rd day was exactly the same from the 1st one.All the food that was serve was delicious but hoping that you change your menu everyday for more great experience. I am not sure for dinner and lunch because we only had 2 breakfast,1 Lunch and 1 Dinner during our stay.
