Our staycation experience at Sheraton Grand: The Sheraton Hotel is one of the first and prestigious hotels in Doha. The room rates for 2 adults and up to 2 kids below 12 inclusive of breakfast is 735 (city-view) and 880 for (sea-view) of course the price is for Marriott Bonvoy members, which is a free membership, the App can be downloaded and activated with ease, the Sheraton team is very cooperative and helped me to celebrate our wedding anniversary and prepared for us a special cake, in addition to a bouquet of flowers! The room is very distinctive and I love how it has two levels, the level of the bedroom, then the level of a small lounge with a TV, connected with the outside terrace, & of course the amazing view, all amenities are available in the room, and I‘ve noticed that the hotel is very generous in the water unlike many hotels, wherever I looked in the room I found complimentary bottles of water, even in the very beautiful beach area with its fine sand, they give you a small ice box with a number of free water bottles (and free refill if needed) the Breakfast was nice, and they also have a special Friday brunch, The attention to hygiene and safety precautions is evident in all facilities, by providing face masks, gloves and hand sanitizers everywhere even inside the rooms, a very pleasant experience. Do not forget to conclude with the most popular Umm Ali sweet in Doha.

I was on holiday with my wife in this hotel from 18 to 25.1.2020. As it was the first hotel in Doha it is built on fantastic place, you can see it from any point of your walk along 7 km Cornishe promenade. Hotel's services are on top place we ever experienced before. Food is one of the best we ever tasted, specially sea food or local meals and specialities. Two times a day our room was cleaned, with changing of towels and adding of toothbrushes, soaps, shampoos and tens of the other details for as good as it is possible stay of their guests. On this place we want to send many thanks to Mr. Priantha, cleaning service manager, who was responsible for pleasant stay in our room and who was always at disposal in case of any even tiny "trouble". Hotel has a private send beach, great pool with heated water and big Jakuzzi pool with perfect warm 38 C water, gym center and many other facilities for guests. You need to stay there much longer than one week to "taste" all they have. After all we promised with my wife that we will come back to Sheraton Grand Doha and we recommend it to everybody who want luxury stay with perfect services.

We decided to head to Doha for something different instead of Dubai or Abu Dhabi. I decided on the Sheraton Grand and I was not disappointed. Normally older hotels fall by the wayside in the Middle East however the Sheraton Grand appears to hold off any new rivals. The property is in an amazing location, just off the Corniche with its own beach and grounds. The design of the hotel makes it really stand out, almost unique.
I booked a Club Room with sea view and lounge access. Just superb. The room had a wonderful view of the Corniche and over the bay towards the Islamic Art Museum. Very comfortable room with a lower seated area which leads to the balcony.
The lounge access was the main thing. We always try and book lounge access for some privacy and the chance to pop in for a quiet light lunch or late breakfast. At the Sheraton Grand they have taken this to the next level. Breakfast and lunch were lovely however dinner was amazing with a selection of hot food, cooking station, large salad bar, sushi station plus desserts. Add to that free flowing alcohol and amazing service you cannot go wrong with booking a room with lounge access. Each member of staff we encountered were friendly, professional and helpful especially Julliet, Siham, Gita, Etih who always had a smile on their faces when we walked in. The chef Ravindra was always helpful offering to prepare different items. The lounge made our stay even better thanks to the staff. The beach and the grounds make this hotel different in Doha, and the staff who work there were again very professional and helpful. Each morning we visited the beach we received a warm greeting and once they knew where you wanted to sit your area was set for you each morning. Thanks especially to Arwan and Rashid at the beach, great customer service. All the staff we encountered were always very helpful and professional and they are a credit to Sheraton Grand. Housekeeping always kept our room (room 539 from 16th to 23rd Feb) clean and tidy, I they never encroached on our privacy, very professional. A stand out for us personally was ThankGod who worked as a Bell Boy, always gave us a warm welcome back to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble for him. The hotel offers an amazing choice of restaurants La Veranda, Nusr Et Steakhouse, Em Sherif or Al Hubara, all very different but all very good. The Irish Harp pub in the basement was very good too, not what you would expect from a "hotel bar". We were even invited to the 38th Birthday cake cutting during our stay. Anyone who visits Doha should consider staying at the Sheraton Grand, I am sure you will not be disappointed. Thank you to all at Sheraton Grand Doha for making our holiday on Qatar memorable.

I stayed here for 2 nights on business and was not disappointed. This is the oldest hotel in Doha but the lobby does not give this away with its luxurious decor. The consierge are lovely and very professional. I did not have to check in as I was greeted with my room card ready. My bag was with me very quickly in the room. I had a twin room with sea view and although, not contemporary in design, it was very nice with everything that you would need even if here for 2 weeks.
It was split level with seating area with sofa and table. Large fridge, TV, Nespresso machine, kettle, tea and coffee. Alarm clock and sound system for ipod. The balcony had table and chairs also. The 2 beds were large and extremeley comfortable. There is a lot of storage space, a safe, iron with board and AC. The bathroom is large with good walk in shower and sperate bath, loo and bidet. Toilteries provided also. I heard no noise from other guests.
The buffet is to die for. I would say the best I have ever eaten at anywhere in the world. The sea food can be cooked fresh or choose your sushi or shellfish from the buffet. There is a lot of local food to choose from and some really good curries too.
The lesisure facilities are top class. Great beach and pool with bar and snack area. The location of the hotel is right on the Corniche in the city and the hotel is an iconic sight when lit up at night.
There is a licensed bar in the basement of the hotel. If you are not resident, you will need your passport to gain entry. The bar is huge and on Thursday night there is live music and ladies get 3 free drinks on entry... otherwise a glass of wine or a pint of beer is 55 riyals.
Overall, an excellant choice to stay if visiting Doha.

I cannot praise this hotel enough. I travel all over the world for business and sometimes for pleasure and have been lucky enough to stay in some pretty top notch hotels.
The Sheraton Grand Doha is one of the best I have ever stayed at. The hotel was built in 1982 and was the first 5 star hotel in Doha. Although not as spanking brand new as the other hotels going up all over Doha, this is an iconic building in a fantastic location. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and even the most basic rooms are luxurious by many hotel standards. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very quiet.
The main hotel restaurant is suburb offering a plentiful buffet at breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a huge choice on offer and all beautifully presented. There are plenty of other restaurants on site including an Italian restaurant a steakhouse and a poolside cafe. As I am here on business my room rate did not include these other eating places but I have no doubt that they are equally as good.
There is a lovely pool, a small beach and water sports on offer. I took several dips in the temperature controlled pool and it was simply lovely. There is also a bar! The drinks are expensive by UK standards but at least you can have a drink! There is a happy hour most nights which is actually 3 hours long, and there was a ladies night one evening where I got 3 free drinks.
The most outstanding aspect of this hotel is the level of service. Everyone (and I mean everyone) were superb. Every staff member I encountered during my 5 night stay were courteous, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I have stayed in 7 star hotels but never have I received such an exceptional level of service.
Two people deserve special mention. Prince is the head chef during the day ( or was during my visit). Thank you Prince for taking care of me so well. The pancakes and waffles were delicious! I would like to mention a lifeguard whose name I’m afraid I don’t know. I arrived at the pool today at a very busy time, but despite this he noticed across the crowded pool that I had no towel. He came straight over bringing towels and iced water to my chair. Now that’s service!
In short, if you want to escape a cold and dark UK winter there is no better place than Qatar and the Sheraton Grand. The weather is great (in February), the food is excellent, you will be waited on hand and foot and the Qataris are lovely people. As a westerner you are made to feel very welcome. Western dress is completely accepted and as long as you are prepared for a hefty bar bill, alcohol is also available.

We visited Sheraton grand Doha it was an amazing stay . Upon arrival we where greeted with the guest relation team , amazing receptionist Kaoutre who checked us in very welcoming and knowledgeable also the lady who checked us out Adina very fast check out and professional . I also would like to thank Mustafa the duty manager who took time to check about our stay that is something all managers should do . I had a little problem with housekeeping in one of the rooms I booked but it was all resolved by the Filipino guest relations had given her the feedback and suggestions.Also the Nepali bellman who left our luggage always smiling and helpful very cheerful guy .
Had some room service and both the waiters who served very warm and friendly also the chef Gomes called to follow up about how the food was which is so good and impressive.
Next day the breakfast in Al Hubara was so good yummy , good quality of food and varieties to choose only wish more indian food varieties other then idli should be offered to guests . The chefs and your team did a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast .
I have one suggestion about the tv channel since Sheraton grand is a landmark hotel here in Doha , you must offer more tv channels as St. Regis Doha offers even indian channels like star plus and Pinoy channels as you have loads of corporate clients because of the convention center it would be a good idea.
Overall the stay was grand as the hotel name goes . The view from the rooms both city and sea view are breathtaking. Hotel beach and all recreation areas are good . As you have seen above i emphasize the staff more , as hotel is just a building it’s the staff that gives it life , Iam happy with the quality of cheerful staff you have .

One word which summarises our dining experience at Al Hubara Restaurant is “GRAND”.
Truly, Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel has always surpassed the expectation of their guests.
We were treated to a sumptuous, mouth watering seafood varieties from lobster, salmon, oyster, shrimp, mussels, clams to sushis and California maki. It was a Thursday seafood buffet night but I would say the crowning glory at the steak station is their to ‘die for’ rib eye steak.
The fresh salad station alone has everything in it a blend of fruits, vegetables and seafoods. I myself had made several trips to that station to savour the poached lobster and squid topped with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Our dining experience has been brought to the next level with a five star customer service set in a five star ambience. Undoubtedly, Al Hubara Restaurant is a showcase of Sheraton’s par excellence. Each food they have prepared is a display of grandeur and culinary expertise.
I cannot thank enough the team of Ms. Cindy and Mr. Saddam who facilitated our amazing dining experience. I have to give a shout out to the Al Hubara team of Liju George, Bhumi, Toufik, the chef team and all the friendly servers of the restaurant for taking care of us. That’s what you call SERVICE. They have gone extra miles to ensure every guests have an extraordinary worth remembering dining experience in a clean, safe environment despite the pandemic.
Definitely, we didn’t go wrong in choosing the restaurant for our company’s first thanksgiving party. Sheraton is on our top list as the venue for our next activity.

Sheraton turned out to be a boon for our unplanned trip. The customer service and food were top rated. Kid's friendly and accommodating attitude of the staff really made it a complete hassle free stay.
We opted for the club lounge access package and it is highly recommended.
Special thanks to the the following staff who ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible - Gita, Una, Mounia, Anita, Siddhi, Renyli and the very patient chef Roshen.
The covid safety precautions and measures were in place. Did see a few staff taking it casual though. Also placing wipes and sanitizers in rooms would be a good initiative.
Surprisingly, the rooms, pools and lounges were provided unlimited free drinking bottled water which is really appreciated.
Look forward to another stay with Sheraton soon.

We are a clan of three families and being assigned two pairs of adjacent rooms right next to each other make our stay very comfortable. Since we have a lot of kids with us, one room was like the year-end slumber party for the girls. We commend both am and pm room attendants Bovas, Aditya, Kudeep and Satish in assisting us with extra pillows and blankets. The housekeeping team led by Mehdi, Ritzel, Satish made sure we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. The kids really enjoyed the pool area and we very much enjoyed hanging out at the Seaview park area. Special thanks to Arman. The lifeguards were very friendly and helpful. Best staff out of all the hotels in Doha. I have only one regret. I wish I could have stayed longer. Maybe next time. Even the kids were asking when we can come back to have an extended stay. Definitely coming back.

Amazing days on a beach in Sheraton Grand Doha Resort, the beach is always clean and tidy, excellent tasty and fresh food (especially Salmon Poke Bowl), friendly and hard working stuff assisting everyone to feel comfortable helping with sun beds, umbrellas and providing chilled water promptly.

I didn’t have all inclusive package, but had club room plus half board - so we could have food for breakfast/ lunch/ early dinner ( 6-8 pm) and soft drinks all day long in the lounge, alcoholic drinks between 6-8 pm in the lounge ( or brought to the room during Ramadan), and dinner ( after 8 pm) in the restaurant downstairs. Also for breakfast we ate downstairs.
But the safest thing is to call the hotel and have details for your specific package.
Absolutely, the Sheraton has its own private beach. You can drink in all the hotels and resorts, you just can’t drink in public, you can also wear whatever you like on the beach at the hotel, skimpy bikini’s included. If you book a club room you get access to club lounge, free alcohol from 6-8pm 😁
