Monteolivos is a very nice Hotel in the centre of San Pedro Sula. The rooms are decorated with love and charm so that you feel very cosy. Despite the proximity of the road, you can‘t hear any noises in the rooms. The personal is super friendly and helpful. In front of the hotel is always a security men, so you always feel safe.
You‘ll have a included breakfast buffet which is delicious. Also a very good choice is to eat in the Hotel‘s Restaurant Oh-live, which is modern and classy.
As I said is the Hotel in a perfect location. You have only a 5 min walk to a shopping-mall or to several places. If you don‘t wanna walk you can also order the Hotel-Taxi. I really would recommend Hotel Monteolivos!

My wife, two sons and I went to this hotel during the summer for four days. It is located in a nice area, at walking distance of a big mall and a really good restaurant where you can eat the best "baleadas" in the area. It is a very safe place but it has a security guard, just in case.
The hotel was great, the service was excellent, and the room looked brand new and spotless every morning. My favorite part of the hotel was the restaurant on the top floor: it was amazing! Completely sorrounded by big windows and the breakfast was the best I have had in a restaurant. It looked like it was buffet style but in reality you don't have to move from your seat. They prepare the plate for you and even make the scrambled eggs on the spot. Great refried beans!!!! Oh, my god. My kids went several times for refill.
We traveled two years ago, in August. They didn't have a lot of parking space. It was not a problem for us because we didn't have a car but I suposse it would be an inconvenience for other people. I don't know if they already solved the problem. I know they were aware of it and trying to look for spaces.

Cons: The hot water was erratic and didn't work during certain times of the day.

I was told that we are only offered water on the first day with an attitude and the front desk seemed with my request for additional water bottles. Said I would be charged.

Pros: The room was pretty and clean...the view outstanding and breakfast was included for free.

Breakfast was on the top floor and also had very beautiful view of the hills and city.
Very convenient location and super close walking distance to the mall, cinema, restaurants and casino. Good security and taxi service available right outside. Friends recommended hotel due to quality of food and as a good venue for events.

Very quiet and good for couples or business trips. If I had stayed longer, I would have more to say about the food, but we preferred to go out than try their room service or hotel restaurant.

The Hotel looks great. It has a very nice façade and very inviting hall. The room was very nice and clean. Nice bathroom. The only negative was that the front desk personnel looked very busy doing internal stuff with only 30% of occupancy. Of the two nights I stayed they forgot a wake up call once. It is located in a nice neighborhood.

After one night at another hotel. I decided I could not stay 2 more. So I moved to monteolivos. What a good desicion. This will now be my official hotel in SPS. I have no need to look any further. The breakfast could be a little better. But it is defiantly good enough.

Very clean , good beds, and quiet a/c

This has been the best hotel I have stayed at in all my trip through Central America. Nice rooms, comfortable bed, hot water, internet that works, actually everything in the hotel works! Tastefully decorated and very comfortably furnished - everything needed for a great stay was there. Good location close to shops and restaurants. But the best feature of this hotel is the service - the doorman and the reception staff are excellent - they would meet the toughest 5star European, USA o Australian standards - Professional but friendly at the same time - super helpful - nothing was a problem - new the hotel and the local area well - great suggestions on food/shopping - very attentive - i can't speak highly enough of the service.
However to be balanced - the room only had a window looking out to a nook in the building (where the air-con motors were). So no fresh air and not much natural light.
In closing - the window issue was minor given everything else is so close to perfect!

This hotel is located in a good spot. Is really close to the largest shopping center in the city. There are some rooms that have NO windows at ALL. The breakfast was included and was average. The rooms have old furniture and a bad taste in decoration. It is very clean and the service was OK.

Worse hotel ever. Reserved 2 weeks in advance (plus confirmed by phone twice) and the day I got there they said they didn’t have my room because “the previous guests decided to stay longer”. Why do they take reservations then??
