The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort Area garners mixed reviews, with its prime location near Disney Springs being a highlight, though overshadowed by frustration over hidden fees for parking and resort amenities. While the hotel's cleanliness and daily housekeeping receive praise, some guests have encountered issues with room maintenance and service that fall short of expectations. The hotel's amenities, including shuttle services, are generally appreciated, yet guests have called out the need for updates and improvements in room features and overall service.

We selected this hotel since it is one of the closest and walkable to Disney Springs. The hotel was under renovation, so the pool bar was closed (they had a temporary food/beverage/alcohol truck). We received a renovated room, so it was very comfortable and tastefully done. The beds and TV were excellent. They didn't upgrade the bath/shower and the fixture was broken so the pressure wasn't great. Not bad for our only room complaint. Service at this hotel is mediocre. Maids never cleaned the room before 4p unless we asked. They seem to lurk around until late in the afternoon, hoping you'll request them to skip your room and just give you fresh towels. Most of the staff doesn't really try hard to help - it's always go see someone else (the desk, the bellhop, etc.) The customer experience desk seems like their sole purpose is to sell you more experiences. They were unhelpful with general Disney or hotel questions. Pretty lame for a "Disney Official" hotel. Otherwise the staff was generally friendly and joked around trying to lighten the air. The $25 "resort" fee and $20/day parking fee are annoying, but they state them clearly. It just turns a $115/nt hotel into $160/nt. Pretty standard for the area. Overall pleased with our stay and would return.

Well, I started by using trivago and felt I had found a good price with one king bed remaining for us to book for our vacation in Disneyworld...next thing I know I am on something called cancelon. I made the reservation....had to actually call the number two days out from our vacation as we called the hotel and thye had nothing under our name or anything. As mentioned above I called the cancelon number and was put on hold for quite a long time...then was disconnected. Called back and waiting another long time and finally I got to talk to someone. Had to wait for awhile while the person put me on hold. finally came back and emailed me a confirmation number but also did not get the one remaining king bed that I originally booked. Got to the Wyndham hotel and my wife and I were given a room with double beds plus and then instructed to not take the main elevator but another one down the hall- when we got up to the room it was outside like a motel where the window people walk by. Went down and asked if there was any way to get a hotel room (not a motel room) and was told by the manager that this is what you get when you book third party- offered to move us for an exorbitant amount of money per night for our four night stay. Was not impressed with this night manager. The hotel lobby is very nice and we actually had stayed here before so we thought we were getting something similar. Not the case- We understand that sometimes things change but the attitude of the night manager with the sarcastic comment wasn't necessary. The complimentary shuttle service to the Disneyworld properties was very good.

I was actually not booked here intentionally. Snaptravel (stay away from them) booked me here instead of the Holiday Inn. I was hesitant when I found out but was pleasantly surprised.

To explain how this hotel works. I think the 'Garden' units open to the outside. The non-Garden ones are normal hotels.

Listen! This is really not a big deal at all. The rooms were refurbished and are nice. If you request a room in the 3000's range you'll get one at the lobby level so no elevator or stairs required.

The lobby area is nice, you have food, business center, and other options.

The best part and the reason to book this hotel is if you go to Disney. You get Early Entry so you can get the Rise of the Resistance and you get regular hourly shuttles to Disney parks. I was able to get a 6am to Hollywood studios and then used the Early Entry to get into the park at 7am. This is a great deal to make it to the ride you want. The buses return every hour as well. Even though they say you have to book your return returns are pretty flexible.

My main complaint is that i was booked into an accessible room and the water gets all over the bathroom floor form the shower. Other than that, NO COMPLAINTS. Great value to get early access to Disney.

As one of the more reasonably priced resorts in the area, this property gave me no bad feelings. None! The people leaving bad reviews expect Ritz Carlton amenities at Holiday Inn prices. Renovation has now been completed in all of the rooms, and everything is brand new, modern and squeaky clean. The bed was comfortable, as was the pullout, believe it or not. None of that moldy foot smell that plagues so many hotels in this hot and humid state, even some of the fancy ones. Lobby was also clean and modern with a bar, coffee shop and overpriced grab and go foods (to be expected in this area). Yes, there is a resort fee, and yes you pay for parking, but good luck finding a resort in this area where this is not the case. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice, though there was some construction going on in the surrounding area. The shuttles to the park run every 30 minutes, and there are stops at other hotels and parks along the way, but let’s face it, theme park busses just suck. Allow for extra time to arrive at your destination when using this includes service, or get a Lyft if you’re in a hurry. I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to Disney travelers looking for a good value. My 9 year old son wants to come back too, he fancies himself a hotel connoisseur.

Hotel was attractive from the outside. Many of the rooms were in a different section of the hotel that necessitated going outside to get to them. If you are staying to be able to go to Disney, while you can take advantage of the magic hours and book fast-passes in advance, it is not part of the Disney transportation. So Magic Express is not part of the hotel and shuttle stop are not with other resort bus stops. Price was very similar to other official Disney resorts, so if that is why you are going, choose another hotel. Wyndham charges a resort fee on top of the nightly rate and does not offer complimentary breakfast. I came for a conference and the food offered for it frequently ran out and it was difficult to get refills of hot water for tea or coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the cost wasn't worth it.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying here from February 29 through March 4, 2020. This hotel is so beautiful inside and out, with staff that are tentative and jump at your beck and call. I love the gift shop which has a nice selection of Disney items as well as incidental stuff that you may need while on your trip. The small store located in the lobby also provides fresh baked goods daily as well as cold drinks and confectionery items at reasonable prices. The room itself was very clean and moderate with a beautiful view and outside entrance.

I must give a shout out to room service which is extremely fast and very delicious with great servers who are super friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here when we visit Orlando again. Thank you Wyndham

Also this is just a whole whopping two minute walk to Disney springs, cross the street and you are in the heart of some fun and family time

I have stayed at many Wyndam properties and generally find them to be excellent. This property actually contains a hotel and a motel portion. I was unaware of this when I booked my room and was quite shocked when I arrived to find that my room faced the outside Valet parking lot. I arrived at 4 pm but was told my room was not ready because of a leak. I was asked to return later after I was called. When I returned is when I realized that I was on an outside room. The room itself had several bugs in it and the water in the shower had little pressure. The water temperature did get nice and hot which was nice. The location of my room presented many problems. Due to the location outside and over the valet parking lot, there were cars coming and going all night. This also meant people yelling at each other while getting the cars and the constant beeping of cars being locked and unlocked. There were many people coming and going at all hours, dragging suitcases and speaking loudly. This was heard through my walls very easily. Also, the people on the side of me were very loud and my bed shook many times as they were hitting the walls. The pool and hot tub were closed for renovations but I was still charge a resort fee both days despite the fact that I could not use the facility. In conclusion, Had this been a 69.00 a night motel, I would have been fine but my stay was over 400.00 for 2 nights and this was not anywhere near a "resort "

We were "transferred" here from the B Resort. We had reserved a room with 2 queen beds there, and were given a room with 2 full beds here. Then we were made to pay $25 extra to get the queen beds (that we had already paid for at B). Getting your early park entrance set up here was not easy. Staff seemed to not care and in fact walked off after mentioning the two full beds. To my husband who is large man at 6'7" clearly not a full bed sharing sized person. We also had to pay $20 to park versus B Resort which included free parking, so we were transferred but had to pay $50 more for a worse hotel. The inner door to our room connecting to the next room was open, deadbolt wouldn't work. We did not want random people to be able to walk in while we slept, so my husband used an iron to bang it down until locked. Then, the neighbors started banging on our wall and called the front desk on us. So, while we expected to be asleep by 10:30pm, it was actually 12:30pm due to all this and we were unable to use the early entrance as was planned. I do not recommend this hotel or B Resort. It is worth is to stay at a Disney resort instead where you'll at least get good customer service instead of staff with attitudes. Also, bathtub had been resprayed but was peeling all over, not in good shape. Elevator was wonky, we put in our key as instructed and selected floor 7. It went to 8 instead, then back down to the lobby. We were unsure how to actually get to floor 7, but somehow we finally did get there. Only pleasant part was a man on cleaning staff who held the door for us, so thank you to him for being helpful and polite.

Lobby was grand and beautiful. We got placed in a motel-style room. Had a hole on the bottom corner of the door, which let in a lot of humidity and let all the air conditioned air out of the room. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Door to the bathroom obviously had seen better days and had been patched and repainted instead of replaced. The motel was located right next door to Disney Springs, so we were able to walk to the shopping center. For a motel boasting that it was partnered with Disney, I expected more from the rooms. The staff was amazing though. Everyone was kind. The room just wasn't up to what I expected from a Disney affiliate. Oh, the room did have a small fridge, and a small single cup coffee maker, but no microwave or way to heat leftover food you may have brought back to the room.
