Quiet, peaceful, island living! Superior fresh food and daily seafoods available. Many tour packages. Come see where the movies are made! Day cottages available for Php 300, but FREE with overnight Room. Function Hall seating for up to 100 for receptions, parties, etc... KTV bar and shops. Boat transportation is about 20 pesos, just a five minute ride to the Enchanted River! Catch your own dinner in our fish cages.

We had a small issue regarding our dinner from the restaurant, but the staff were so kind and considerate that they made a huge effort to make it up to us. From missing an ordered food item to being given a free meal, that was a huge come back. We went from disappointed to being happy in the end.
That pizza was delicious! Highly recommended.

We made reservations for our immediate family consisting of 7-adults and 2-children. We were required to pay ahead of time via a deposit at a bank that the owners of the Enchanted River Rock Island Resort were affiliated with. Upon our arrival, after a long 12-hour drive, we were directed to a wood boardwalk, where we were required to climb into a Bangka (Philippine Boat) and then whisked out to Enchanted River Rock Island Resort, which was about a 10- to 15-minute ride. We were then provided assistance getting out of the Bangka and walked up a staircase, where we were directed to where we would be staying on a different island with a wood walkway between the two rocky outcroppings.
While walking down the wood walkway, an individual decided to strike up a conversation with me, asking me where did we live and what nationality I was, only to learn at the end of our conversation that he was the new owner of this resort.
What really surprised me was the bare living conditions that we were being placed in, with a bunk bed for my daughter and stepson to occupy and a full-sized bed with an over-sized mattress where my wife and I slept. There was no place to put our clothing, with the exception of a couple of shelves attached to the wall. We weren't provided any towels or soap and lucky for us, we had brought our own. There wasn't any sink in the bathroom...just a toilet (lucky for us, there was a toilet seat as we were informed just prior to our stay that there weren't any toilet seats to sit on when using the toilet) and a shower with a mirror.
The dining room was separated into two sections. The first night of our arrival, they had ample food and drinks with desserts for our grand-daughters. The "free-breakfast" that they offered was just barely enough to consume and nothing special about it. When we returned from our first tour, to have lunch, they still had dessert for the children but, when we returned from our afternoon tour, there wasn't much food left on the menu to order. The staff at Enchanted River Rock Island Resort informed us that they had to go "into town to purchase more food for their patrons". There was a very large assortment of alcoholic beverages that I noticed BUT none of our family members consume alcohol. The owner was even seen consuming alcohol with his guests and, this greatly surprised me, as I have always been told that an owner never consumes his own items that he sells...otherwise, he's losing whatever he could sell to another customer that may desire to have something to drink.
So, my overall impression of this facility is to steer clear of this facility as I am quite sure that you may be able to find a much better place to stay at elsewhere in the vicinity of Hinatuan.

2nd stop of our island-hopping. We also took photo ops here. P20 for entrance. Will come back to Surigao del Sur and stay here. The boardwalk is cute and the surroundings are nice to with all the waters.

One of the worst experience in my life. The hotel is run by people who have no idea what they are doing. The rooms were overpriced, the food was ok-ish but most of the items on the menu were not available. Most of all it is very unsafe! the wooden walkway going to the eating area is made of thin panels that are not water resistant. As my wife and 11month old baby posed for a picture the plank broke and if my wife didnt hold on to the wooden railing i am scared to think what would have happened. Put in mind that everyone needs to pass thru this walkway on the way to the actual hotel.

Me my hubby and 20yrs old son been there last May3,2018 staff are friendly they accomodate us even though it was 10 eve when we got there and they open d kichen just for us even thou they were on bed already with smile.good views around d only prob is the BASURA and toilet it wasnt good no hanging hook for towels no soap dish no lavatory to brush ur teeth. Need to bring own glass to gurgle after brushing ur teeth .

After an big day of traveling to get to enchanted river my partner n I came across this place rock island resort. We had an awesome stay, dinner was yummy! People were very nice! And the views were beautiful! After sitting having dinner we meet the owner of the place too his name was Richard an American guy who has lived there for 3 years running and upgrading the place with his wife! Awesome guy we ended up talking thru the night with a couple of beers! We also explained to him that we needed to be on dry land by 4am as we needed to be at airport by 8:30 the next morning he then straight away arranged a boat to pick us up early hours of the morning. The next morning he also got up himself n made sure we were awake n made us brekky! Was the yummiest pancakes I have had no lie! The rooms n showers are not big or have the top beds but i still had a comfortable sleep with nice cool aircon! Thanks rock island resort n specially richard for the awesome stay n the wonderful hospitality u shown my partner n i. I will definitely be back one day with couple friends. Till then ✌🏽

The resort is located in the middle of the water and can be accessed even by day trippers from the boats in the area of the Enchanted River going on island hopping of the Tinago River Islets, one of which is the resort. Upon reaching the resort, you will disembark on the walkway in the middle of the water at the end of which is the island resort. The view from the walkway is beautiful and you could simply stay there and relax while enjoying the great view. As our group did not stay long, we did not get to see the rooms but the rooms are air conditioned and look very new.

I loved Rock Island. Basic, but clean accommodation. Even without the owner present staff were there at 5:30am cleaning. But you dont come here to sleep. We were awake at 5am both mornings to see the incredible sunrise. Beautiful place and friendly staff. Already thinking of having my wedding here, I cant think of a more beautiful place

the hotel is not that lavish but the rooms are quite enough to have a good sleep and rest while you're in the island. Food is great and the owner/stuff are nice and friendly! hope to visit here again!

Public Transpo from Butuan, yes, a Bus to San Francisco, possible transfer to bus to Hinatuan. Easy to ask questions at
Terminals due to broken English speakers.....lol
From Hinatuan, hire a "taxi"...think of a two seated covered vehicle operated via a motorcycle.....4 wheels....for about 300 pesos to the Pier at Cambatong Village. Then a 5 minute Pumpboat ride for 150 pesos to our Rock Island Resort. Hope that helps....See you in 2019?
Hello! Thank you very much for messaging us. Yes! We are near Enchanted River. Our room rates already come with complimentary breakfast. For your lunch and dinner, you can order at our restaurant. As for the parking space, there is an available parking area at Barangay Cambatong. The parking area is Government-owned and there's a parking fee of P50.00 for parking and a minimum donation of P20.00 for the Tanod that will be looking after your vehicle.
