My husband and I spent 6 days at Bear Camp with the multi-sport package.
The location is stunning with water views from all the tents.
Everyday started with hot tea delivered to your tents and you had the choice to be as adventurous or chill as you wanted.
We went hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, boating to Honeymoon Point and horseback riding.
Meals are all chef-prepare and delicious! You’re also given snacks in between meals so you never go hungry. As a vegetarian, they had no problems catering to my diet.
Overall, I had an amazing time and truly felt the staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and happy. These guys have mastered the art of hospitality and truly made us feel at home. Thank you so much Brian, Ashley, Grace, Whitney, Graeme, Sage and Travis!

Amazing experience here. Highly recommend flying in. Brian, Ashley, and the rest of the team provided a wonderful experience, with a perfect mix of exciting activities, relaxing in and around the camp, delicious chef prepared food and most importantly personal touch. It felt like we were on vacation with a big group of friends who made sure we were comfortable, wined, dined and entertained every minute! The views from the camp are incredible.

If you are looking for a true escape in fall, look to Bear Camp for Grizzly Bear Viewing. This lodge is like nothing I have experienced. Accommodation is on platforms where you stay in Safari tents. They have been built this way to not interfere with the bears travelling the banks of the lake and river. You will have the opportunity to view the bears from your platform, from a kayak or by boat. All this is matched by great food and the warmth and knowledge of the owners- Brian and Ashley.

This place is so unique - the safari tents built on the platforms provide a rustic experience, but with a king bed and beautiful wood furniture inside, you have all the comfort you need. Every tent has a perfect view of the lake, and there is a lovely big deck space for gathering in the evenings. The atmosphere is very social and fun, with happy hour drinks and snacks each day, and dinners done at a long table inside the main lodge/cabin. The coffee and tea delivered to our tent each morning was a great touch! While plenty of time to meet new people and get to know the owners, there is also ample time to relax and unwind on your own, chill on the deck, take the SUPs out for a morning paddle, or go for a nature walk. The activities were exceptional too - like a summer camp for adults! Loved the day out on the water, and the chance to hike along the shorefront. Wish we could have stayed longer! Can't wait for next time.

It is really just an incredibly dreamy place. Bears walking along the shore, bears swimming in the lake, bears hanging around checking out the scenery, bears munching on salmon everywhere. And you get to see all this from your choice of venue - your "tent", your kayak, your boat, your raft - so many great adventures to be had all while keeping an eye out for the bears. Wonderful staff and guides, great food and drink, terrific hospitality. Highly recommend - peak life experience.

This was my second time visiting Bear Camp. Enjoyed it so much the first time with friends that I had to come back with my family! We had one of our best family vacations ever. The activities and scenery are epic, and the staff is experienced and great fun. We hiked, rode horses, rafted, fished, kayaked, and had some fantastic meals. Thank you so much to Brian and his staff for a great week! Looking forward to our next trip with ROAM.

Spent 3 terrific nights at Bear Camp prior to a Chilko rafting trip with ROAM, I never thought a camp could compare with white water rafting but Bear Camp does. I read on the deck, kayaked, hiked in the woods (always with a guide - there really are bears around though I never felt threatened by them) and simply sat quietly with a cup of coffee contemplating the very blue lake and piney mountains. It is a perfect place to unwind without being bored. Activities are offered but never pushed. Food is great (meals are family style). Staff was always helpful and had a great sense of humor. Accommodations are very comfortable - very large tents with real furniture - though this is a camp, not the Four Seasons, so bring sunscreen, not makeup. WiFi is available for a few hours each evening for those who are unable to live without. If relevant, I am a 50+ single woman and went on my own.

Took my wife and four kids to Bear Camp this past summer and it turned out to be more than any of us could have imagined. The remote location and spectacular scenery was breathtaking. The food, service and amenities were all top notch. Spending our days offline and disconnect while kayaking, fishing and mountain biking was exactly what we needed as a family.

But what made the trip truly special was the team at Bear Camp, who always went way above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay with them. They made us feel like part of their family and were so passionate about sharing the Bear Camp experience with us. A big thank you to Brian, Ashley and the entire Bear Camp team for helping create memories that will last a lifetime.

Already booked a return trip with the guys to spend a few days at Bear Camp plus a few days rafting the world class rapids that await down river. See you guys soon!

Tip: If budget isn't an issue, I HIGHLY recommend taking a float plane in/out. It will save you a few hours driving and you'll enjoy some of the most amazing views you've ever seen along the way.

One of the best experiences of my life. The staff are amazing, the scenery and different experiences are memorable and the food was unreal. Not a camper so this took me out of my comfort zone and could not have been better. Rafting, kayaking, heli hiking, paddle boarding...we did it all. Was a great place to totally disconnect for a couple of days. I will definitely be back. Thank you bear camp!

Jeff - thanks for your kind words. It was awesome having you and the YPO group come and explore with us. I wish the weather had been a tad more cooperative but it's proof that the people and place make the fun. We'll see you in LA or up here next year. Cheers Brian

Brian, Ashley and the crew at Bear Camp are fabulous. I spent 8 days there enjoying everything from biking to hiking to kayaking to fishing. The setting is stunning, the accommodations extremely comfortable for the wilderness and the food was incredibly tasty. All in all a great vacation and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

"All the tents have excellent views. If you tend to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, you may want to request a tent with the fewest steps to the facilities. If you want the most privacy, you may want to request one of the end tents farthest from the main cabin."
