The top address for an unforgettable holiday! A very popular, cosy activity hotel with personal care - a phantastic view - a secret to be shared! sunny and quiet – new panoramic dining-room, bar, sauna, beautiful garden, all-purpose free-period. Small but fine!
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
This is a lovely hotel, beautifully looked after, airy and bright. The owners are very attentive and caring of their guests. They provided lots of detailed information (in English!) and nothing was too much trouble. The gala dinner and fondue evening are worth booking, they are good value for money and it is always a great atmosphere. They have many guests who return year after year, and indeed at the Gala dinner they celebrated one couple who had been there 15 years running, and gave them a basket of gifts! The sauna was excellent, and all facilities including the use of the ski-room at the hotel Derby next to the slopes were superb. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Can't fault anything. We highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Etoile in Saas Fee is family-run, and running a hotel is clearly in their blood. This is exactly what a holidaymaker wants: super clean, lovely view of the surrounding mountains, and above all a very warm welcome by the family. You really feel looked after.
Hospitality is something you can learn, but when it comes from the heart you can feel it. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Alpenlodge Etoile. The service was perfect and everything incredibly organized - from picking us up/dropping us off at the bus terminal, the ski lockers next to the slopes, all the detailed information needed for our stay, and much more. The owners and staff were all very friendly and made our stay extremely comfortable and went above and beyond with their help and small welcome/leaving gifts. We would definitely recommend to stay here when visiting Saas Fee and would love to come back!

through Neckermann we came to Erlebnis Hotel Etoile. Seen the customer rating on the Neckerman site (9,5 - zover) we were full of expectations, but soon to be disappointed: first the room: small, very hard beds, the child bed was a transformed seat and very uncomfortably. Later and mayor disappointment: the food at night… small portions from - i suspect - microwave-cooking. A real downer. Forced us to go and eat elsewhere on 4 out of 7 days, even when in 'halb-pension') Good were the friendliness of the owners and the location (outside the center but very calm and with the free ski-bus stopping at the hotel-door. The service in this cosy hotel was outstanding, warm and friendly. The owners - Daniela and Rolf - went the extra mile to make our stay extra special and “at home” feeling.
Situated at the outside of Saas-Fee it is located in a very quiet area. A little far from the slopes, but public transport is free and stops right in front of the hotel. The 'village' is traffic free and upon arrival at the very modern parking place, you are being picked up by the hotel owner Mr Rolf Bumann himself.
From our south side room (no 34) and balcony we had a wonderful mountain view (see my attached photos). The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast had something to everyone’s taste.
We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place.

The hotel created an excellent experience and memory for me right from the start during my 2 night stay. The owners and full time operating couple were attentive, informative, and welcoming throughout my two night stay. Got a ride from the main bus station to the hotel upon my arrival. The breakfast selection, restaurant cleanliness, and quality of food were above average.
The single occupancy room was cozy and adequate. It had all the necessities. But the bed and the mattress made annoying squeaky noise as you rolled around naturally. Probably a little to thin for a full size adult. This would be main constructive feedback.
The location is of course beautiful but you do need to plan and be comfortable for a 10-15 walk to the main parts of the village, unless you call a taxi. I’d recommend the place and have no problem going back, but would try a room with higher quality bedding.

A family hotel operated with loving care by Rolf and Daniela. Awesome service includes pick up and drop off at the bus station, a welcome packet full of all the info you need for Saas-Fee, local bread and sausages as a snack dropped at your room, and a complimentary bottle of water upon departure. The breakfast was filling and fresh every morning. Bus stop smack outside the hotel (or a short walk into town). Ski room conveniently located not at the hotel, but bottom of lifts, and all your gear magically ends up there when you check in and is returned back at departure- no lugging necessary! And the view - THE VIEW!!! you get a near panorama of the village. Oh - and they were dog friendly. Great stay with great people.

Visited Saas Fee for a short stay, to do some alpine hiking. This hotel was an excellent find. The Buman family and staff at the hotel made us feel very welcome. This included picking us up from the car park.
The food was very good and varied, with a different theme each evening. I would highly recommend this establishment for a stay in the resort.

The service in the hotel was outstanding, warm and friendly. The family and staff worked hard but made you feel special. It is not a sophisticated place but very comfortable and our view from the room was wonderful. Every night there is a theme for diner and this was, somehow, delightful although unexpected. We felt that the hotel was pleased to have our company and they made every effort to give us an excellent week. Because the staff were so friendly it infected the guest too, who were all kind and thoughtful to each other too.
