We spent a week at Cedar Shade in August 2019. The cost for renting a full service cottage was really reasonable. This is the perfect place for a family getaway. This campground offers something for everyone. Multiple pools, huge park with high quality structures, a nice man made lake with a little sandy beach, art and crafts every day, parades for the kids etc. Again I reiterate this is a super family friendly resort. If going to bed by 11 and up getting up early is your idea of a great trip then I highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly, the people who are seasonal campers all treated us like family. We will be back time and time again.

This place is awesome. We were really pleased with the facilities. Great lake, shady sites, friendly staff, and a well stocked store. The small farm has piglets , goats and horses for the kids to visit and feed. We are looking forward to going back.

first time visiting. Park is well organized, with lots of activities. For a family with young kids there is lots to do, from the man made lake with beach, diving tower, swing rope, and multiple pools. Playground is large and well used.

Camp sites are VERY close together. Evenings were fairly boisterous, but calmed down by 11:00. We were in the "quiet" section, but a number of campsite parties happening around us.

Nice for a family with small children, but as an older couple, not really our cup of tea.

A lot of amenities but not well organized. Staff are rude. The Man made lake is slimy and unhealthy. Nice for a weekend but I would not spend the money to be a seasonal camper at this site. There is human feces in the bathroom stall. I was told that the washrooms are normally clean but not for our visit. They have a rope that kids swing into the lake....very unsafe and and an unsafe structure in the middle of the lake. The ladders to climb out of the water are rounded and metal. We saw many people getting hurt on these. the internet does not work at all as well as phone service. This place thinks 11pm is not quiet time, it is do NOT make a sound because staff are hiding in the trees watching your every move. The campers were all friendly with exception to particular staff who were there to make campers uncomfortable. It is a very crowded campground. Kids have fun but way too overwhelming to spend the money to be seasonal.

Has a lot of things to do for kids but no security so people are partying on a site and real loud music all day and night. partying no distancing. Park is not watched so over crowding too. Cute campground, yummy restaurant food but not safe. Lake is a weird green colour and small “beach” .. so many golf carts! the seasonal teens run the place like they own it, are out at all hours of the night, are rude and the staff do nothing about it. Definitely wouldn’t be a seasonal here. But weekends or for a day visit is ok I guess.

As mentioned in other comments, the staff in super friendly and there is all kinds of activities. My one bad point is that they seem to have over subdivided some of the sites. On my lots 60A, there were 3 sewer pipes from the site around us. Two were near the sitting area. Since it was a very busy weekend, we could not change sites and had to endure the occasional smell!

In my opinion, go, but check your site first as you might be surprised.

Went for a weekend and now we camp there seasonally. You won’t be disappointed! Lots to do: swimming volleyball ice cream, an arcade, restaurant, parks air pillow and trampoline. Don’t forget the party train!

Super family friendly, lots of swimming areas, great canteen, 2 parks, beautiful horses, friendly animals what more can you ask from a good campground! The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you need something they have a little store or 15 minutes is a giant Walmart.
