Know what you are getting. They call it a 5 star hotel but Manon is a gorgeous romantic boutique hotel not a full service corporate luxury hotel. You will get a big stylish, mostly well designed room (Europeans still don't know how to build a shower that doesn't get everything within 2 meters totally soaked) oriented around a gardens of Babylon style courtyard. There's a small but beautiful pool, a nice little sauna on the roof, and a fitness center that doubles as a boxing training facility and is beyond what you find at any other smaller hotel. It's the kind of place where hipsters will feel at home, but dorks won't be totally self conscious. There's always at least one couple low key making out in the pool but it's not an adult only hotel and the shallow pool is good if you got a 9 year old or someone who can't really swim. It's decidedly low maintenance, and understaffed. You generally handle your stuff and get clean towels and toiletries as needed from housekeeping. There's a lot of fuss about all its organic products and eco-friendly focus, but truth is once you've flown into Copenhagen it doesn't matter how much you brush your teeth with a bamboo toothbrush and organic toothpaste tablets, you are just trimming toenails on your carbon footprint. It is not a hotel for people who go to bed before 11 p.m. or need complete silence to sleep. There's a restaurant bar on the 6th floor and the 2nd floor pool is bumpin europop noon to 10 (12:00-22:00). Choose your room wisely. If you have kids or want to center your stay around the pool be a good sport and stay on the 2nd floor. If you want quiet(ish) try for the 4th floor or the side away from the restaurant. Beds were more comfortable here than the other high end larger hotel we stayed at in Copenhagen. I'd worry about some deterioration over time as I did see the beginnings of wear and tear and not much of any facility/maintenance staff. If management is reading this, you got a beautiful place, now staff it fully and look at how you can improve-like a little basic cutlery and a plate for when your guests get take away.

Thank you so much for your review. It means a lot to us to know how our guests have experienced their stay with us, so we can do better in the future. If you land in Copenhagen again, I would recommend you to try our new beautiful Hotel, Guldsmeden Bryggen. I would argue that they can fulfill many of the points you write about in your review. The best greetings, Team Manon les Suites

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Copenhagen for my birthday and we stayed at Manon Les Suites. First impressions were "This is incredible" the jungle feel around the pool was memorising and definitely worth the 5* rating! Our room was on the same level as the pool and i thought this would be fantastic, but it turned out it wasn't. The room was stunning. Plenty of space and the hotels eco friendly products were so good we had to purchase a few. However, for the price he paid for this room, i would expect breakfast to be included. Alternatively, do not charge £30 per person for a breakfast - that is extortionate. The breakfast wasn't a massive problem though, as the hotel is in a great location so walking distance to most places. Our biggest issue we had was the noise coming from the rooms above us! Maybe we got unlucky, but i'm not the first reviewer to comment on this. They were blaring music until 4am, which meant we had two nights where we barely slept - no amount of complaining resolved this which was disappointing for a 5* hotel. This hotel also charges for bike rental which was a surprise, as most places we've been to in the past offer this complimentary. Overall, i wouldn't stay here again. If it wasn't for the look of the place, this wouldn't be a 5* hotel.

On arrival, there is barely any signage to tell that this is Manon Les Suites and the lobby is similar. It is too small and is also combined with the entrance to a large gym beneath the hotel. Not what you would expect from a hotel that calls themselves 5*! However the room was spacious but again from the website you would expect all rooms to have a view over looking the pool area but ours did not. Nice amenities and a very good show of the hotel being environmentally conscious. Hotel staff lacked the knowledge to give good restaurant recomendations but they were friendly and could direct us to where we needed to go. Its is also quite a far walk from most of the main attractions (Nyhavn, Little Mermaid, Palaces and churches). Its a very nice hotel with a different concept and modern, fun design but not worthy of a luxurious, 5 star ranking.

WOW! The most stunning hotel I have ever visited. I booked the trip as a surprise for my sisters 21st birthday and I have to personally thank Manon for kindly upgrading our room to a poolside suite for free! She was so surprised as was I.

The room was clean and fresh and came with a bunch of free 'I love eco essentials' goodies which was a really nice touch. The shower was perfect, the beds were super comfortable and It was quiet and peaceful, never overcrowded though we did visit in off peak season so I'm unsure whether that makes a difference.

I love that Manon are eco conscious and this factor contributed to me booking. The whole feel of the place was very modern and classy. The lady on reception was very friendly and kindly looked after our bags even after we had checked out (as we had a flight later in the evening).

We used the pool and sauna/ steam facilities which were so luxurious. It's a shame that the sauna etc. is on the top floor away from the pool however this is a v small inconvenience especially since there are lifts.

We didn't make use of the room service or restaurant so I can only comment that some of the items seemed rather overpriced for example a bowl of peanuts or chips cost around £9 however it is Denmark. If it had been a little cheaper we probably would have made use of this.

Finally my only two small criticisms (and I'm nitpicking here) is firstly that we noticed housekeeping had come into the room whilst we were out. We only stayed for one night so it felt like a slight invasion of privacy. Secondly I feel there could have been a larger range of cocktails on offer or it would have been nice if the bar man knew a few of the classic cocktails. I feel that would make the hotel feel even more premium but like I say these are only two small tips I would suggest.

On the whole a 5 star trip and I absolutely hope to come again! Thank you Manon 💗

At a time when most hotels are looking for business , I called Manson Les Suites twice to make a group booking for 6 and first time they promised to call back in an hour, never called back. Second time they told me they are too busy to take bookings. Back to Nimb!
Clearly Manon doesn’t want customers

This hotel is gorgeous! A perfect base for a few days exploring Copenhagen and a delight to walk along the balconies in a secret tropical paradise to our room after a very warm welcome from the staff and after a full day exploring by foot or by bike. We would go straight to the roof for a steam and sauna to unwind, followed by a cold shower open to the skies and then head down to the pool in our cosy kimonos for a swim before heading out to dinner. Such a treat. The beds are insanely comfortable, the bathroom products smell divine and we slept so well.
The staff are so pleasant and seem genuinely happy and enthusiastic to be there. They gave us great advice on places to eat off the beaten track. We loved La Fiorita,a few minutes walk away. Riz Raz, Torvenhalle and Gorilla also recommended.
We hired bikes for in this bike friendly city and left them outside the front door at night quite safely. Cycling back was easy or we enjoyed crossing the park towards the hotel.I would happily return to stay here.

We had booked a New Year's eve stay including a poolside dinner with a set menu & wine menu.

The pool area is nice as the pictures show, and the room (suite with terrace) was as expected, except we didn't have the view of the lakes that had been shown in the pictures when we booked, so that was a bit disappointing.

The New Year's menu, however, was completely not up to the level that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There was no red thread in the menu, which consisted of a number of (very small) dishes that seemed to have been randomly grouped together to form a menu. The waiters would drop of the food & wine with no explanation of what it was and there was a total confusion among the staff which led to multiple guests (not just us) missing out on parts of the wine menu. In addition, I had informed the hotel a month ahead of time that I didn't drink alcohol and asked if they could do a juice menu or similar instead. When showing up for the dinner, noone seemed to know about this and the waiter's only idea was a coke. That's disappointing when you're paying for the full wine menu!

All in all too expensive to pull off a completely disorganized New Year's dinner & stay experience.

We have a list of complaints. The hotel is very Instagramamble but unfortunately its only surface. It has five stars which is very hard to believe.

We arrived to our early check in at 13. We arrived a bit early and waited next to the check in desk. They didn't greet us even though there were no other clients and two receptionists... They told us the room wouldn't be ready until after 30 minutes. I has emailed twice about the early check in and it had been confirmed. I told them this and then suddenly the room was available within five minutes.

In the room it was extremely cold, we put on the heaters but they sounded so much we couldn't sleep.

The breakfast was in many ways a bit disappointment. First of all it was in a tiny room with way too many people. Very overcrowded. We had booked and we were put at a high bar table in the middle of the busy buffé. We asked if we could sit at another, low breakfast table instead of the bar table. We were told "no one had an issue with that table before". Both of us have a background in hospilatity and have been guests in other hotels of even four and three star hotels and always received a better costumer facing attitude. We were shocked of this approach. When the strawberry jam ran out we were told they ran out. After a couple of minutes at the bar table we spotted a normal low table and asked if we could sit there. They said yes of course, but in a high level of service they should know better about the tables than us as costumers...

In the night they had an event in the pool area. We had been noticed about that (about 2 weeks notice) but no where had we been informed about that the event meant loud music until 23.

We absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Google a photo from the pool area and you have got all a stay here can get you 😂.

Dear Josefin B. Thank you for your taking time to formulate a review. I apologize for the confusing upon your arrival, it is likely that our receptionist allocated you to a better vacant suite, it takes a few minutes and we provide this complimentary compensation in case your booked suite is not ready in time. Regarding the breakfast, we have approximately 40 tables and almost 90 rooms, which creates a complication if our guests show up at the same time. We recommend eating in the early or late opening hours of breakfast, to avoid a crowded experience and a more calming breakfast atmosphere. - We recently added another opening hour of breakfast, to make amends for this. The recent event you experienced was for a charity that we are proud to have the opportunity to host. We truly apologize if this was an inconvenience during your stay.. I apologize that we were not able to fulfill your expectations, I appreciate you having brought our attention towards the points that you thought can be improved, please note that this have been taken into consideration. We hope that you will return for another visit in the near future and allow us the opportunity to offer you our services once more and change your perception about us. Best regards, Frederick Secq - Manager

The facility was clean, nice room and bathroom. Quite quiet location, although boulevard is basically next to it. The buffet breakfast offered many (albeit different to the American breakfast) choices. The buffet was a bit pricey though. All in all, great value for money - just skip the breakfast and head to some of the restaurants nearby.

we have stayed at other Guldsmeden hotels throughout the years in Copenhagen. I have to admit based on the reviews I had better expectations of the room condition at Manon Les Suites. Granted, expectations anywhere have to be realistic with the state of affairs right now all over the world but I have to admit as much as I loved the concept of this hotel (which in this chain is casual, organic, and environmentally sound) as much as I wished the room itself was not as 'tired'. However, the staff, reception, service, hotel manager are all cordial and very keen to give you a great comfortable experience. And for that we were grateful. When I asked that since we had a room with a deck, that the deck would have been nicer had they arranged the furniture more intentionally (it felt abandoned) and spider webs and the dead plantings were more attended to. The staff and manager were thankful for those suggestions and extremely responsive. Sadly, our room was on the Main Street side and therefore very noisy at night. If you are noise sensitive you may want to ask for a room on a quieter side and not sure if that exists given the location of this hotel on a very main road. The dead plants on the deck may be due to the continual high winds on the high up floor and Copenhagen is windy in general. I am not anymore sure where in the world any hotel would live up to perhaps my somewhat unrealistic precorona expectations of perfection. Having said that, we were comfortable and enjoyed the casual, calm, and low key stay.

Based on the hotel's occupancy we will tell you if it is possible on the requested day. You are always welcome to write to our reception and ask. The best greetings, Chris & Team Manon

I agree, in the summer time, mostly in July and August, when there are more kids, it's most busy right before dinner. the rest of the year i would say the weekdays are pretty easy and weekends are busy from 15.00-20.00 (check-in to dinner)

Hey Tsvetislava, You actually don't have to be a guest to visit our pool & wellness facilities here at Manon. On days where we are not fully booked and/or have room for extra people, we do allow "non-guests" to buy a day pass. The price of a day-pass is 495.- pr. person and gives you acces to our pool, sauna, steam-room and ice bucket. we also provide you with a "spa-bag" which contains a towel, kimono, slippers and a water bottle. the pool and wellness is open from 08.00 to 22.00 all you have to do is call us, on the day you wish to come by so we can inform you if theres room or not. Kind regards, Christoffer and the Manon team
