We had a pleasure of staying here three nights before a two week sailing trip.We came back for four days after.
This is the friendliest hotel I have visited for years. It's clean, comfortable beds and in a perfect position for sightseeing in Athens (touring bus stops outside €12 taxi). Bus and trams nearby.
The hotel is right by a natural inlet where you can swim in the crystal clear waters from the rocks. This is where the locals are.
Great fish restaurants nearby and a pleasant walk from Marina Zea.
We can't recommend Scorpios Hotel enough. Excellent.

A very nice small family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble. I am in a wheelchair and the staff helped my Wife with the luggage and helped me at the front door (there is a single step) and also the lift. They had arranged a taxi pick up for us from the airport at a fixed price which was waiting for us. It was very hot when we arrived and we found that they had put a bottle of water in the mini fridge. 15 minutes later we had a knock on the door and we were given two large glasses of ice cold orange drink which we drank on the balcony overlooking the sea. The room was on the small side but perfectly adequate for me and my wheelchair, it was spotless clean with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. They recommended a nearby taverna for dinner where the helpful staff pushed me up the ramp to get inside. The food was very good and we were probably the only non –Greeks in there. The Hotel is on a busy road but the sound insulation was very good so we had a good nights sleep and next day we had a good breakfast and we were able to delay checkout until 1pm. As our ferry was not going until 5pm we went to the bar next door and had a leisurely lunch until the taxi arranged by the hotel was due to arrive. The fixed price taxi took 10-15 mins to the port where our ferry was waiting.

When we went to Greece this July and needed to stay in Athens before our flight home, I decided instead of Athens book this hotel in Piraeus. It is easy to reach Athens. We used taxi, the bus and Metro as well to go to Athens. Not far at all. Greek transportation system is very good organized. IMO. We bought two days pass that we used for bus and Metro. Hotel was great. We had room with sea view on the third floor. Balcony and the sea view was wonderful. The highlight for me was the rocky beach in front of hotel. I used it in the morning, afternoon and in the evening. Swimming was excellent.
However please bring watershoes because it is very rocky. Also if you cannot swim - don't use it because it is deep at once. There is a beach nearby (15 minutes walk) but it is also rocky but at least it is shallow at the beginning. We just visit it once.
Hotel reception guys and cleaning lady were great. Room was spacious.
I would recommend to pay for breakfast - it worth every euro. Fresh and delicious.
If you need to spend a few days in Athens - don't hesitate to book this hotel.
Also if you need to wait your Cruise Ship. Great hotel, great service. Cannot say anything about rooms looking into backyard but ours was outstanding. Bed was reasonably firm, air conditioner worked perfectly. Cannot find anything to complain. Thank you Scorpios! If we can we will come back :)

Do not make a booking at this hotel through a booking agency offering free cancellation terms. I was forced to cancel a booking at Scorpios because of a cancelled cruise and did so well within the time limits for a free cancellation. Nevertheless Scorpios used my provided credit card details to remove money from my account without explanation, Almost a month later I’m still trying to have this money returned.

We stayed here 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer. Our room was on the 4th floor. We paid for a sea view which is truly lovely and worth the extra few pounds to upgrade. The staff go well beyond the call of duty to assist in any way and gave us great suggestions for our stay. I agree with the previous reviewer who said “why stay in Athens?”!

Taxis are readily available and not expensive. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the boats and hearing the waves come in. We walked over to the port in about 20 minutes. It was really interesting to see the neighborhoods we passed through. There are so many great restaurants close by.

This is a great little hotel with comfortable beds and lovely white fluffy towels. The bathroom is rather small with a miniature sink but the views are what we focused on. Given Covid they have to pre-prepare your breakfast so it isn’t fabulous but it was adequate. The coffee is great! We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We booked this hotel for a few days after a cruise and it was everything we hoped for.
From the minute we walked through the door every member of staff was so helpful and welcoming.
We arrived before 10am and hoped we would be able to leave our luggage and come back in the afternoon when our room would be ready. Instead we were asked to wait and very quickly our room was available - such a pleasant surprise!
We were on the top floor which the lift doesn't reach but it was worth it for the view and wonderful outside space.
We've enjoyed 3 wonderful days here and every member of staff has been so kind and helpful.
We would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing, informal stay with great views of the coast.

Small and friendly hotel. Prize is very good. To travel to the city use the 5-day-ticket (8,60€), so you can use everything in Athen.
Breakfest was very tasty.
Only one point: Its smells for mothballs very strong......

A friend and I were only staying in Athens for one night before our early morning ferry the next day. Our flight was delayed so we only managed to arrive at the hotel after midnight. We were at the hotel 5 hours between check-in and check-out.

I have rarely found such a helpful and considerate service. It was lovely.

The man on the front desk was brilliant. Extremely thoughtful and conscious. I reckon it was pity on the confused and helpless looks we had.

The complimentary wine was decent and he did offer to order food to the hotel. Having been stuck on an aeroplane, we were much keener on finding somewhere still serving (which ended up being Panchos, the Mexican restaurant).

There was a taxi waiting for us when we got up and it was a quick no hassle stay.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable, stress free stay before heading on your island hopping adventure.

Scorpios has a great location and has the friendliest, most helpful staff. Overlooking the sea, the views are lovely. Walking distance to many restaurants, a supermarket 1/2 block away. The climb across& down rocky shoreline is a challenge, but refreshing swim is the reward- follow locals to safest entry.
Lazarus was extremely helpful with every request and did so with a genuine smile. The rooms were clean and refreshed daily. The rooftop rooms actually have reduced view and rooftop is too hot to enjoy. Rooms spacious but shower a bit small. Breakfast good value but repetitive.
Overall a very enjoyable, good value stay before our cruise.

Location is excellent. There are nice restaurants near by. You can take a swim right infront of the hotel. Warning: it is rocky! You can also a take awalk to the bearby beach. Town centre is 5minutes in the taxi and costs €5. We booked room with balcony with sea view but been upgraded to the top floor. There are only teo rooms on the terrace and share it. But it is very big and oartitioned with plants. Just one note, walls are very thin !
