The NH Collection Roma Vittorio Veneto receives mixed feedback on room sizes but is often commended for modern comforts and amenities. Its location is celebrated for being close to major attractions and transport links, yet some guests note it's a bit distant from certain hotspots. Cleanliness is a strong point, with meticulous housekeeping earning high marks. While the amenities, including breakfast variety and staff assistance, are appreciated, critiques arise over small showers and occasional closed lounges. Service quality is typically regarded as excellent, contributing to an elegant and cozy atmosphere, despite some unwelcoming areas. Opinions on the hotel's value for money, however, are divided.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel which is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Rome. My room was very comfortable and clean with a fabulous view of Borghese Park. Hotel staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet, which was included in my room rate, had a great variety of high quality foods. It was the first buffet I have been to in this new Covid world, and all the necessary precautions were taken with food behind plexiglass cases and staff there to make up your plate of personal selections. The bar in the hotel did not look inviting when I checked, but there are many great spots just a few steps away on Via Veneto. Great value.

I stayed in the hotel with a group of female friends. The visit was a celebration trip for one of the ladies. Prior to arrival, I emailed the hotel summarising the reason for the visit. The hotel ensured that on arrival the room had a few balloons, and some thoughtful gifts alongside some drinks. It made the trip perfect from the start. I would also like to mention the gentleman working at the till during breakfast. He would always ask how you are, have a genuine chat and would ensure your breakfast was perfect. As an english speaker it was nice to have so many bilingual staff to speak too.

The rooms themselves are contemporary, clean and conveniently located. Very close to the Spanish steps. And located within a 5 minute walk of the bourgeues gardens. From this hotel we managed to walk to all the main tourist sites easily. These included the Vatican, spanish steps, Colosseum. The Vatican and Colosseum took us approximately 30 mins to walk to.

I would come back and stay in this hotel, for me the friendly staff and extra touches of customer service meant that my stay was far more memorable. Thank you.

I stayed at the NH HOTEL VITTORIO VENETO for three nights on the occasion of my daughter's graduation party and I was very satisfied with my choice. The hotel is a modern glass building overlooking the park of Villa Borghese, one of the most beautiful and green areas of Rome. The location is excellent, a few steps from the famous Via Veneto, one of the most elegant and prestigious streets in the city, and close to many monuments and attractions, such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. The room was spacious, bright and quiet, with sober and refined furnishings, a comfortable king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, a minibar and a Lavazza coffee machine. The bathroom was equipped with a rain-effect shower, hairdryer and quality toiletries. Breakfast was buffet style and offered a wide variety of locally and internationally sourced food and drinks, both sweet and savoury. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful, always ready to meet our needs and give us advice on what to see and do in Rome. On the evening of the graduation party, we dined at the hotel restaurant, which serves typical Roman cuisine and a selection of regional wines. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the atmosphere elegant and relaxed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable stay in the Eternal City.

Myself my partner booked this hotel for a one night stay. We have stayed at many NH properties and I have to say this was not the level of NH service we become used to. The welcome was none existent and our loyalty to the NH brand was not recognised. I had sent an email asking for an early check if possible. When we arrived I was told our room was not ready. There was no offer to look for another room. My partner asked if there were any rooms available and also pointed out that he has gold status and is therefore entitled to an upgrade if available. After some discussion magically Premium room was found. The premium room was far from premium and was very warn and in desperate need of maintenance. The room was extremely cold. I tried all the settings but was unable to make the room any warmer. I called down to reception in the evening and asked for some assistance. I was told 5 minutes and it will be warm. The room remained extremely cold for the entire stay. It was impossible to keep warm.
When we arrived for breakfast there was nobody to welcome or seat us. Eventually someone saw us waiting and said sit anywhere. When we went to the buffet we asked for some food and the response was 'Your room number?" The person managing the buffet was also checking rooms. The food was at best average. Hot servings were in fact cold and when I asked for toast I was given pre toasted bread which was hard and cold.
Overall the stay was far from satisfactory and we have since corresponded via email with the hotel on 2 occasions. There was an apology offered and some excuses about trainee staff and faulty heating units. There was also a quote by Alan Weiss which I did not find useful. However overall there was no real acknowledgment that due to the failings overall in this property and the service our stay in Rome was severally impacted and the fact that we had little sleep due to the conditions in the room and we ate very little breakfast as frankly it was not nice. We were told that they hope we will return so they can show us the service they can offer. Well I'm afraid we won't as loyal guests we will continue to be loyal but not in this particular hotel.

Dear biggee77, first of all many thanks for taking the time to share with us your feedback about your recent stay at our hotel NH Collection Vittorio Veneto – it is much appreciated. Please accept my most sincere apologies for what happened during your stay in Rome with the room cleanliness and maintenance. I'll immediately and deeply verify what happened, with fast actions to solve these issues. Unfortunately we are facing both an important brand change but also huge room improvements. The importance we give to our guests’ reviews can be resumed in one quote by Alan Weiss “Ask your customers to be part of the solution, and don't view them as part of the problem". Once again, Mr. biggee77, please accept my apologies for disappointing your expectations. I hope that you will give us a new opportunity to welcome you back to the NH Collection Vittorio Veneto in Rome and ensure you on the high level of service we continuously strive to provide our guests. The hotel staff was very much welcoming and nice. The hotel itself was basic rather than the "collection" level. The breakfast was basic without the Italian standards of variaty of food. Other NH Collection hotels we stayed in before had a very good breakfast. The hotel room was a bit dated and not fully cleaned when we got in (the toilet had dirt and the soap/wash dispensers were not refilled). The AC (aircon) was too strong, we could only set it between 16 and 18 degrees so not enviromentally friendly but the initiative to not to clean the room for a free drink per day was very good. I only hope the cleaningness will have more attention to detail and the breakfast will improve so it would make the hotel very competitive.

Given the situation we face with COVID 19, the hotel surpassed my expectations. In my opinion the measures against COVID 19 were very good and very intuitive to follow.

Nice hotel located in a nice Roman neighbour close to wonderful restaurants. Room was nice and clean, with plenty of space, a nice balcony looking towards the city. Bed was comfortable and good height. Good sleep quality if the balcony door was closed (obviously). Nice balcony to sit and do some Apéro while enjoying the autumn colours of the city and a view to the ancient city wall.

People: given the situation above mentioned, as little contact as possible with people has been my life motto in the past months. Nevertheless personnel was always kind and helpful. The lady who made our check in, the lady at the breakfast and the lady who made our room, special thanks to them! Everybody else was kind too in the brief interactions one can have in such times. This is highly appreciated.

Location: excellent for people who love to walk, Villa Borghese right next door. It is also nice to walk from the hotel to the landmarks of the city (this is really if you like to walk), we got to the Colosseum in 40 minutes walking through the Via Veneto. We even made it to the Vatican by walking. Rome is a paradise for people who like to walk in a city. Also the location is ideal for people who like going to good restaurants and enjoying food. There is plenty of excellent restaurants around.
Location is not so good for trips with the car, which we also had in order to visit places outside Rome. No strategical highway around. Also the parking does not belong to the hotel and there is no discount or special offer for the hotel guests. It's a small parking lot. Look for alternatives around.

Price: High price performance ratio as per my point of view, this because of Covid-19 crisis.

Would I recommend it? Yes!
Would I come back? Yes!

One star less because there was no "lazy Sunday". This was promoted on the website of the hotel and there were signs around stating "Breakfast: 7 am to 12 pm Sundays and Holidays". As you might see, individual travellers like me who stay in Rome over the weekend go for vacations and to rest. It is important for some of us to sleep and recharge energies for the rest of the time at work, specially in these stressing times. Since I was going for late breakfast and there was no more breakfast available I had to skip breakfast and wait for lunch at a place outside Rome (far, far away).

Overall it was a nice experience in my favourite city, this time at the NH Collection Roma Vittorio Veneto. Seemed good for childless couples, romantic getaways, Roman vacations, business trips, etc.

Recommended restaurants around: Vladimiro (7 minutes walking)

I previously stayed at NH Vittorio Veneto and I highly recommend it. The hotel is very clean; the staff is excellent and willing to satisfy all of our requests. Breakfast has absolutely nothing less than what most high end hotels have to offer and the location, even if it is not right at the center; it is near enough to add value for money.

The worst selection ever done. The best word to describe the hotel is an as..hole.
The room is terrible. All around the room you will see the wallpapers come off. We have booked a room with one big bed, however instead there were just two beds standing next to each other without any connection or even a connecting toper on it. The hotel offers you 1 bottle of welcome water for 2 persons. But the worst is bathroom - everything is broken and inoperative. We soon found that the bath drain was clogged, so taking a shower quickly turned into an unintended bath. Tropic shower was broken too - the selector, fixator didn't work and even the showerhead didn't pass the water. Everything is too old and worn out. One of the drawbacks - poor sound insulation. You hear everything what your neighbors do, moreover if they will plug into the socket, you will hear it like if they are in your room.
When you select a network hotel you expect to have some good level of services however, NH Collection Veneto does not reach even IBIS budget level. And all this is a room for almost 400 EUR per night.

We booked a room for 3 people (2 adults + 1 boy). By the time we had to leave for Rome, my daughter had a last minute cancelation of her spring camp, so we decided to take her with us hoping that we can pay an extra fee for her at the hotel.
When we arrived to the hotel (late night on Apr 17th) the receptionist did not even try to accommodate us and from the beginning said we are not allowed to stay 4 people. My husband explained our situation, but again and very rude he answered 3 people not 4. He called security, probably to kick out my husband ... but in the end it did not happen since my husband asked for our pre-paid room to do the check in which we were entitled to. We also asked if they have rooms available and his answer was "rooms are expensive this period" which it was very disrespectful from his side. We checked in to our room and in 15 minutes I booked an extra room for 5 days. During our stay we have noticed on our floor families of 4 staying in one room, I'm wondering if the same receptionist did their check in ???

So, starting with the positives, the rooms are gorgeous! My husband and I stayed in a room with a large terrace that had a great view of the park. We loved the bath and bathrobes and the bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast was very disappointing though. All the issues stem from a lack of signage and communication. Signs on the floor suggested we should wait to be seated, this turned out to be incorrect. A lady bellowed at us from the breakfast bar that we should just come in. There was still no indication of what we should then do though. We decided to find a table. The problem was there were three of us, and all the tables for four were taken. This again was ignored by the staff, so we just sat at separate tables. No big deal, but I expected more, to be honest. I then saw a waiter taking juice out, so I followed him. Big mistake!!!! I had inadvertently walked into a private area with a lot of sports people. Some of who were in our area, but hey ho - I was very much not meant to be where the juice was and was very embarrassingly shouted at to leave. I witnessed two other people going through this embarrassing process whilst in the breakfast room for 30 minutes. Food has to be served to you due to the current restrictions, I understand that, I just wish staff would adapt to the needs presented. I waited for over 5 minutes to be served but because a couple took a long time to decide what they wanted, I ended up walking away with nothing. Two other staff members walked past during this time but did nothing.

The sports people who were seemingly very important to the hotel were able to wander in and out of the restaurant, completely ignoring the one-way system put in place. This was very disappointing - if you're going to implement policies to manage clients, at least stick by them!

At the end of the day, I wouldn't return. I'd saved up points for a special weekend, and felt as though I was an imposition.
