Clean, bright and airy luxury hotel on the beach
Stayed in one of the rooms on the ground floor, the bed was comfortable and there was a safe as well as all the things you would expect from a decent hotel such as safe coffee machine. The bed wa so comfy and maids came daily to clean the room and did a superb job.
The restaurant really was outstanding the hygiene and presentation was impeccable as was the choice of food.
Entertainment in the evening was great with live music. The drink and cocktail choice was vast and again, good quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to walk into Puerto Banus along the beach front tales around 20mins and as for Marbs, we got an Uber which was only a 10 min drive.
There was not one member of staff that was not attentive they all did a fab job.

We are currently staying at the Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach Resort and Spa, I chose this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday and wanted a special relaxing week. From the moment I have booked the hotel to this evening , I cannot praise the staff and management enough in the way they have welcomed us, made my wife feel very special and delivered an exceptionally professional and high level of customer service . After making the booking, I contacted the hotel to enquire if I could arrange some little surprises for my wife on arrival. From the very first email , the customer relations team and management were very helpful and offered practical and realistic options for what I had wanted to do. Elisa was amazing and arranged what I had wanted with no hassle, I was never kept waiting on replies and any costs were fully explained right from the start . On arrival my wife was treated very generously and on the day of her birthday, was overwhelmed by how many staff offered congratulations and best wishes. Her big had not just been forgotten about and although this was very much appreciated, other guests were never ignored or disadvantaged. This level of professionalism has continued , the assistant manager Carmen has been very attentive and ensured that the big day was celebrated with little extras. Behind the people that I have mentioned are a fantastic group of staff who have provided first class service, unfortunately they are too many to name. Iberostar as a company should be very proud of their staff at this resort, the food, cleanliness of the rooms, public areas and grounds are all small aspects of a great hotel, when combined well, the result is a hotel that has exceeded my expectations. Thank you to everyone at the Iberostar Marbella Coral Beach resort and Spa.

We stayed at this hotel from the 3rd March for 7 nights which we later found out was the 1st day of opening for the new season. We got a private transfer from Malaga airport which only took 40 minutes.

Check in was ok but not a lot of information given out, we were offered an upgrade to all inclusive with a 30% discount but we declined as it would of cost us an extra €500 and we prefer to eat out for lunch. We were HB.

We had a double room with sea side view and pool view which was great. The room itself was clean and plenty of hangers, but we found again not much information in the room i.e what was charged for like coffees in your room, we later found out you need to scan different barcodes in the room to get any info.. we had a Nespresso machine in the room with 4 coffee pods which you could have free of charge on the first day but if you wanted a replacement lot it would cost you €6, we did use 2 on the first day and a bit of milk out of the mini bar and were charged €2 for the bit of milk.

Breakfast was good all that you could want really, eggs 3 ways, bacon, mushrooms, hash browns, pastries, pancakes, continental section as well, couldn’t fault it.

Dinner was nice on the occasions Oscar the chef was on as he would do anything for you, one night we dished up some chicken paella but there wasn’t much left and he said a fresh lot will be 5 minutes but we weren’t that worried about it and went and sat down, next thing Oscar appeared at our table with a plate of the freshly cooked paella absolute gem of a chef. On the occasions Oscar wasn’t on we did have a pretty poor chef didn’t get his name wish I had but he was so slap dash we ordered a steak to be cooked in front of us, he didn’t season it, gave us cold plates and basically chucked it on the plate and gave us it, also on these nights the veg to go with your meat was not stocked up so you would have to hang about for new veg to come out whilst your meat was getting cold! Selection was quite good different stews/curry always pizza and paella, pastas 2 or 3 different meats and a fish dish, salads, cheeses and plenty of desserts. The next day we were having lunch and Isabel a lovely waitress was asking us to review on Google and I told her about the fiasco the night before, she apologised then later brought us over a dessert each to say sorry which I thought was lovely. Forgot to add that each evening you were given a little drink of something as you went in.

We stayed for a week but couldn’t swim in the pool as it was freezing even though they said it was heated it did not seem like it at all, so that was a bit disappointing.

As it was March there was no entertainment so went down to Puerto Banus and found a club (Joys) there with great live music even though the drinks are pretty expensive it is a great atmosphere.

We travelled to Marbella centre on the bus which cost €1.18 each one way great value.

Most of the staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful.

Spent a week here and it was the first week that the hotel had opened after the closure for the Covid pandemic.

The location was great, 10 mins walk along the beach front to Puerto Banus, 40 mins the other direction to Old Marbella along the beach front. Plenty of beach bars and restaurants along Route.

The hotel room was fine and generally the hotel was nice. The hotels beach club was €15 each and it was lovely. There is a free area in the hotel to sunbathe round the pool along with free beach towels.

Breakfast was very much a learning curve for the staff, the buffet breakfast was no longer self service and you had to queue for everything to be served (even the orange juice), luckily the hotel wasn’t busy but could imagine that when the hotel is busy, this system would not work. My negative about the hotel is you can’t eat breakfast outside, the restaurant is downstairs in a canteen type area, such a shame to not have an outside eating terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather!

I would not return to the hotel purely because of not having an outside terrace to have breakfast.

Stayed here for a week 11-18 June 22. Rooms were spacious with a big balcony, large bathroom and comfy beds. Did not have to get up early to put towels on the loungers, as people only started putting their towels down about 8.45. Twice during the week we were given free glasses of sangria at lunch time while we were sunbathing. On the Friday afternoon. they came around with free bowls of chopped fruit which tasted delicious. The pool was not noisy even though there were a couple of stag parties towards the weekend. The breakfast was excellent with a really good choice. My husband who is really fussy even loved his breakfasts. The cocktails were about 9 euros each. There was a free water station and ice machine on each floor which was very useful. Most of the staff were very friendly. Would definitely come back to stay here. If you wanted cheap drinks etc there was an Aldi right opposite the hotel as all the nearby shops were extremely expensive. There was also a fashion show by the pool one day.

I really struggle to see what the rest do in this hotel as I thought at times I had arrived at the wrong hotel.

The cleanliness around the pool isn’t great and whilst the sun beds gets washed down that is about it. They actually could be doing with a right good scrub!

The food at lunchtime is quite frankly awful and easily the worst hotel food that we have had anywhere we have travelled albeit breakfast was good.

Finally, the location meant that it cost us 30 euros every night travelling into Marbella Old Town (which is stunning).

Be careful too as when ordering drinks etc they scan your key card on an iPad and don’t show you the charge so always ask to see what you are being charged for.

This was our first time in Marbella and we will be back but not to this hotel.

Bright and airy room, perfectly positioned. We had a lovely terrace overlooking the pool area and were able to enjoy the afternoon sun. Comfy beds and great shower. Soap, shower gel and shampoo is also very gentle on the skin which is a bonus as my son and I have sensitive skin. I took my own hairdryer however the one provided looked sufficient. Lots of charging points and no need to take adaptors as they have USB connection points which is perfect. Lots of space for hanging clothes.

The staff were extremely lovely and attentive.

Food and drink - we were on B&B basis so only had a light lunch in the bar which was lovey. The breakfast is buffet style and plenty to choose from . The fresh fruit and bread is second to none and there is a wide selection of hot and cold food to choose from as well as fresh fruit juice and if you feel like pushing the boat out that early in the morning, Cava.

Pool area - plenty of sun loungers and we were impressed that the 'reserved' loungers were monitored by the life guard and the towels removed to free up the loungers if no one had been seen using them. The pool is heated to a good temp, my advice is to just jump in. Do take care on the paths around the pool though as they are slippy when wet and we saw a few people and kids slip (including us). One of our highlights were the little pond areas scattered around the site with carp and turtles.

My one gripe would be the door closers - perhaps a soft closer would be good as the doors slam shut which can be annoying later at night/ early in the morning.

We had a superb time during an early Easter holiday staying here as a family of five. We felt very welcome from the time we walked in the reception and well looked after throughout our stay. The rooms and beautiful atrium and reception areas were all immaculate and had a high level of care taken to make the hotel clean and all the staff were wearing masks and taking precautions around Covid.

The pool was clean and warm, and the loungers we're comfortable. Carp and turtle pools a nice segway. Towels were included but the cleaning impact must be astronomical every day, I'd ask people take back to rooms and reuse with little use.

We used the spa which has a jacuzzi, steam and sauna room. The massage was good. It would be useful to have a safe to keep phones and valuables whilst visiting.

Food and drink made up a big part of our time away. There was lots of choice and everything was freshly prepared. We opted for all inclusive which included lunch and I assumed it would be quite basic snacks but the lunch menu was a set menu and everything was delicious! It was quiet but cosy and service was fast. Bar snacks on all day like BLTs etc. We lived on cocktails and mocktails which hit the spot in the sun.

We had a birthday while away and after a cheeky mention at the reception they made a cake just for the birthday girl and the chorus of happy birthday was fun. They also popped some cava. Another bottle was in the room chilled when we returned too, without asking. Nice touch!

The transfer from Malega is only around 45 minutes. A cab to Marbella old town on Sunday morning was 10 minutes and well worth a visit. 3 cabs were waiting outside the hotel at most times. Reception were helpful with maps and drop off points. Water ferry back from Marbella to Porta Buenos available which makes it a bit more fun.

Temp was 22 degrees early April but felt very warm around the bar and pool area as it is secluded sun trap with the hotel surrounding on three sides.

Thank you for a relaxing and indulgent break. Props to all the lovely crew. We left some tips and hope others will want to do the same. Recommended!

The hotel was very quiet even though there were a fair number of people there. Our room was spotless everyday, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast choice was vast.
I only have 2 negative comments - we had a jacuzzi room with a spiral staircase. The staircase could use anti slip paint on the steps. My husband fell down the stairs and luckily only sustained bruising both to his body and ego! But the stairs are quite dangerous. Secondly many people were saving beds by the pool from as early as 7.20 in the morning. Some saved beds early but did not use them till mid day. i have been at other hotels in Spain were they do not allow this and any beds with just a towel and no person on before 10.00am were removed, it soon stops this selfish practice. Despite this we never had any problem finding a sunbed if we wanted one.

Was happy to return to this hotel our second visit and frequent users of this hotel chain. Arrived to warm welcome, hotel good standard of accommodation. My issue here is with the pool area and management of the sun-beds, rule here is that if your bed is left for 45 minutes they will allocate your sun-beds to other guests. That’s a rule that is not shared on arrival is not displayed clearly and not shared with me as a guest at point of check in. My lunch took more than 45 minutes and I returned to find two guests surrounded by my personal belongings sitting on my clothes having been allocated our beds by the pool attendant. Shocking that they treat guests this way and fail to inform anyone that’s the rule. The pool attendant give our beds away 10 minutes after we left for lunch, how is that allowed to happen?. Beyond disappointing and incredibly poor management of the pool area. I complained at reception yet to find anyone in hotel to be accountable for way they treated guests. Pool attendant then allocated another bed to us by taking off towels from other guests beds. those guests arrive back to find us sitting in their beds, I gave them their bed back they had also only been gone 20 minutes. Shocking I’m sitting on a wall writing this review waiting for management to address. The hotel now have two groups of guests unhappy with treatment, my complaint has yet to be addressed by any hotel staff been waiting for over a hour for someone to be accountable for way we were treated. it’s fair to say I will avoid returning to this hotel it’s no longer the standard of service I have found in the other hotels in this chain. My day was completely ruined by this event what started as a good day has left me feeling angry and disappointed with staff.
