Such a warm welcome from Lori and Paul…we just felt right at home the moment we stepped on their verandah and were greeted. Very clean room with amenities unexpected…fridge, microwave, wifi. Unfortunately, because of the COVID, breakfast was not served in the house. Lori made up for it by treating us with delicious homemade breakfast danish pastries delivered to our room. We were advised before arriving at the Inn so brought our breakfasts with us. Do not leave the Inn without tasting their homemade Mercury ice cream…unbelievable. Thank you again Lori/Paul. My sister and I had the pleasure of spending a night at this beautiful Inn on the night of September 11,2021. The owners Lorrie and Paul made you feel welcome and right at home. We were served delicious danishes on our deck for breakfast. The view of the water from our deck was awesome! Their homemade ice-cream was amazing; had to get a second tub to take with us when leaving. If you are looking for a place to enjoy peace and tranquility in nature, we would recommend Lilac Inn.

We stayed at the Inn for two days. What a nice beautiful quiet place. Lory and Paul are so welcoming and nice.We enjoyed every minute spend at this Inn. Just sitting on the porch looking at the water or crossing the road and sit on the bench and enjoy the tranquility. Breakfast is just so delicious. I am not about to forget the Crepes. Lory and Paul makes sure that you are very well taking care of. The room was very comfortable and the bonus of all this is that we had our private bathroom. Sure can't wait to return.

We were delighted with our stay at Lilac Inn. Lori and Paul were excellent hosts, anticipating our needs before we asked. The pitcher of ice water delivered by Paul was the perfect touch after driving 3 hours from Fredericton. The room was spotless and the bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in. And the breakfasts! Lori has the magic touch in the kitchen. Her Strata is delicious as are the other items on the menu. And Paul makes an amazing cup of coffee.You won't go away hungry! Don't forget to ask about "Whole Wheat", the beautiful little doe who visits regularly. We'll be back! Thanks again, Lori and Paul.

We stayed at the Lilac Inn while at a wedding on Deer Island. Paul and Laurie were welcoming and accommodating. Everything was so clean and fresh! We were traveling with our two kids, so we had the two upstairs rooms booked with a full bathroom. The kids had the room with two double beds. The beds in their room were incredibly comfortable. Our room had one queen bed. The bed was good, but they will be replacing with a newer mattress soon. Both rooms had lace linens and antique furniture. The walls were painted a relaxing colour. There was plenty of room in the dressers and armoire for our clothing. The Inn was so comfortable, I wish we'd had more than three nights there. The view from the inn was incredible as it looks out on the Bay of Fundy.
Each morning, a delicious breakfast was provided: eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, yogurt, juice, etc. Laurie and Paul accommodated our gluten free requirements as well.
When we asked if there was a laundry facility, Laurie offered to do our laundry for us, no charge! What a special treat to arrive back at the inn after a long day to discover our freshly washed laundry folded on our beds!
On our last morning, one of the island's pet deer, Whole Wheat, came to the door to see us. Yes, right to the door! At home, I wouldn't dare get close to a deer, but this deer was so tame, just like a pet. We also saw three seals out in the harbour on our last morning as well.
We highly recommend staying at the Lilac Inn and we look forward to visiting again! It really was just like spending a night at Grandma's!

Spent a night at Lilac Inn and couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the very comfortable beds, great location, very friendly hosts, awesome views and great breakfasts, we were not disappointed. The Lilac Inn will definitely be our choice on our next visit to Deer Island.

We don’t stay at bed & breakfasts very often but the Lilac Inn will be a bed & breakfast that we will definitely return to when we come to Deer Island again.
On top of very friendly hosts, great views, very comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings, breakfast was great. Lilac Inn was recommended by Spirit of the Island and boy were they correct.

My husband and I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Lilac Inn. Our room was very nice. It was homey and private and furnished nicely. We were pleasantly surprised to have a ref & microwave in our room. Lori was a wonderful host and very helpful. The breakfast was served on a beautiful enclosed sun porch overlooking the bay. The breakfast was delicious and she offered many choices all homemade. We loved our stay on the island and found the people so friendly and warm. We visited in two people's homes who were complete strangers! Les Rolston at 6 Acre Studio was also so friendly and let us park at his business while we biked. I would highly recommend the Lilac Inn and a visit for all to Deer Island!

Fabulous place, beautiful clean rooms, fabulous view. Beautifully decorated breakfast area. Lori is a fantastic cook and provided us with the most wonderful breakfasts as well as homemade cookies in our room. She makes the best cinnamon buns I have ever tasted! Lori is a wonderful warm host who made our family feel very welcome :) I would highly recommend the Lilac Inn B&B.
