Reasonably priced, friendly staff and easy to locate this motel. Included: microwave, mini fridge, TV, coffee maker, a Fan. Wi-Fi is free but I was not able to get reception inside my room. Stayed in room 34. Total price with taxes $75.21 per night. Interior decor is dated, but we accept this to pay the lower prices.

Stayed in the offseason..It was old but very clean. Nice people run the place. Looking for a place to lay your head this is it in Hinton. Close to food and shopping if needed. They have all the stuff the other hotels have wifi, tv. When in Hinton give it a try.

They had no phone, no air conditioning, no wifi and no remote for the TV. But the big thing is they had no smoke detector...when we asked for a remote and a phone she finally brought them and when I said what about a smoke detector she said she didn't have one..so I told her that is against the law and I took a picture and planned on reporting it. She got VERY MAD and said to come get our money back and get out. We did...went down the street to a much nicer place that was $11.00 cheaper and had air conditioning, a remote,, a phone, wifi AND a smoke detector. Big Horn Motel has smoking rooms so if you stay there please make sure that there is a smoke detector..or better go somewhere that cares about their customers

I was driving up North and just needed a place to take a shower and have a restful sleep.

I first drove into the Best Western Hotel on the West side of Hinton, I was very disappointed to here that my stay from 9:45pm to 8am would run me $165.00 for a single room non-smoking.

I chose not to stay and drove 3 minutes East when I spotted a sign for the Big Horn Hotel $59 for a single.

The owners were fantastic in accommodating me with two teacup yorkies and making sure I was comfortable.

The owner and sat and exchanged stories about Grandchildren and She even had a recommendation for helping me with my medical.

If you looking for a good nights rest in a quiet park at your door Motel, Big Horn is it.

They have suites to accommodate large Families or groups, microwaves, fridge, coffee makers ect..

Bonus is all the restaurants including Tim Hortons is within walking distance.

Once again all I can say is forgo all the need for fancy and stay in a comfortable place.

Arrived late in Hinton after a wonderful day driving north on Icefields Parkway through very beautiful country. It was the night of July 28, 2015. Checked this place out because it looked like an inexpensive place to spend the night. Very friendly owner said she only had two rooms left, both smoking rooms. She gave us the keys to both and said to go into them and see if either was acceptable. We chose one of them and said it looked ok. It turned out to be quite comfortable, and with little smoke smell. We decided to stay and asked the owner if there were some interesting things to do for the evening. She produced a map and mentioned a beaver pond attraction nearby to the south of town, the Beaver Boardwalk. It was a serene and beautiful place. There were good places for dinner across the street from the motel afterward. We enjoyed a good night sleep in a room that was clean, comfortable, simple but nicely decorated with a wood panel strip. There was a good TV and wifi as well. We felt at home during this stay in Hinton. The price was low, and well worth it. This is a simple, low budget place, but you really get value for the low price.

Pulled back the sheets and covers and watched Spiders scramble. Flys in the bathroom. Their version of an A/C was a fan at the foot of the bed. I would recommend this place to anyone. Needs Full Upgarde.

When I hear 'Motel' I immediately think old, trucker, dirty beds, smokers haven, 'Bates Motel' . Although not the most up to date , I can tell the owners try to keep things clean and functional. Having a clean bed is my far most important rule. Sheets were clean, beds were put together with care, new pillows TY. If I would start with one renovation purchase new beds. Bathroom was clean. No shampoo supplies, but there were mini soaps. Microwave, coffee pot, mini fridge. Flowers hung outsides, nice touch. Friendly and helpful service. Price reasonable for what you get. A little noisy just off main hwy. I would recommend for one or two nights.

This place isn't fancy but a clean quiet place for a night. The room is small but spotlessly clean, with a fridge, microwave, TV and Great water pressure. All depends what you want, if your looking for cheap price, clean & quiet the Big Horn Motel fits the bill!

We stayed at this motel in May 2013. The room we were given was poorly lit and had a large chair that partially blocked the entrance to the bathroom. There was no room to move the chair elsewhere. The toilet did not flush. When we reported this problem, we were told that the toilet had been constantly running so they turned off the water. Nice if they had informed us of this before we paid for the room and they should have offered us a discount. The tv was old and the reception grainy. The towels were so thin you needed to use two to get dry. It is very close to the highway so there is constant traffic noise.
