Club La Santa garners acclaim for its comprehensive sports facilities and a plethora of activities, situated ideally for easy access to these attractions. The hotel's cleanliness stands out, with meticulous upkeep noted by numerous guests. However, the rooms, lacking air conditioning, have been a point of discomfort for many, despite the suites offering more space and comfort. While some guests encounter noise, the atmosphere is often described as convivial and suited for families and sports lovers. Service is frequently lauded, although opinions on value are mixed, with the pricing sometimes considered steep.

I haven't been able to stay at this resort, which looks absolutely wonderful, due to the fact they don't offer single occupancy accommodation for solo travellers. The only options are to be paired up with a stranger to share a double apartment or to pay for two people when only one is staying which is very expensive. I am sure I am not the only person who does not wish to have to share with a total stranger for reasons of privacy, security and being able to have a relaxing holiday. I'm posting this in the hope that resort management see it and consider offering some small and affordable single-occupancy apartments to the offering if they ever expand the resort. Solo travel is an expanding and lucrative market so I am sure they would have no problems filling them and I would be first in line to book!

Hi! Thank you very much for your feedback, we will definitely take it into consideration. At the moment, the price is for apartment and not per person. However we have discounts in our website for periods with lower occupancy. Solo travelling is indeed expanding and our guests mention that Club La Santa is a great place to meet new people. We hope to welcome you soon!

I’ve been going to La Santa for quite a few years, activities are fantastic (love the Pilates reformer, Aerial fitness and barefoot fitness) and the staff are lovely. There’s so many facilities to choose from and are for all different levels.
Food is average yet very expensive, (i would advise going to La Santa village restaurants to get your money’s worth) and unfortunately the noise at night is very disturbing, the evening entertainment will last until 10pm and some hotel guests will make noise till the early hours of the morning. This wouldn’t be an issue if the building didn’t echo as much, however expect to hear loud banging and slamming doors when trying to sleep.
When telling reception staff they were very helpful and upgraded our room to somewhere more quiet, just a shame the square is so loud!
Apart from this our stay was great, and will be visiting again in the future still

Club La Santa is a Danish invention from the late 70’s. It must have been decades ahead of its time when it was build. Today it offers a perfect setting for an active vacation. You can swim in three Olympic pools, leisure pool or open water. Bike, spin or MTB. Run, walk or hike. Play tennis, badminton, padeltennis or ping pong. Enjoy soccer, basketball, volleyball or handball. Do Zumba, fitness, yoga or CrossFit. How about windsurfing, surfing, diving, kayak or SUP? You name it, they got it. (OK, no skiing and no iceskating)

Facilities are modern, and the equipment is fine, so you don’t need to bring anything except clothing and shoes.

Instructors are cheerful and very professional. Language is English.

You will find activities for all ages and all levels from beginner to professional. Clubs for toddlers, kids, teenagers and even seniors.

Apartments are functional and suites more luxurious.

Restaurants, supermarket and sports shop on premise.

Half and full board are buffet. It has a wide selection, and you will be able to get a nice meal every time regardless of your preferences.

Climate is sunny, dry and windy at all times of year. Pleasant for sports.

Be ready to get up at sunrise, be active together all day and sleep well.

Ideal for multiple generation vacation or larger groups.

Night life is limited, and nearest village is few miles away.

Don’t go there for culture, party or fine cuisine. But be prepared to return...

Highly recommended.

We went to learn how to windsurf, to go on social group cycle rides and to have relaxation classes. We found we could not book these because they were oversubscribed.
You are each given 250 points. Most activities take 40 points.
If we chose to join the waiting lists our points were tied up and we had to wait til the event had virtually started to find out if we had a place. One day I booked both the 10am and 11.30am slots for windsurfing. Only 5 places in each class. Both classes were fully booked and no one dropped out, so I wasted the whole morning waiting.
If you book slots days in advance, you will be successful, but you’ve no points then to book anything in the meantime. Except exercise classes requiring no points. But that wasn’t what we came for.
To help others thinking of booking, here are the screenshots. (See how there are 11 and 16 people waiting for released spaces on the relaxation classes)
There are two ladies’ cycle rides with coffee per week. Just two. And for five riders only. It’s not enough for a hotel this large.
If you cycle on your own and have an incident requiring help you are on your own. Get a taxi back, was the advice.
I wish we had known we would not be able to do what we came here to do. We gave up and moved to another hotel. (Thank you to the hotel manager for helping here. The review would have been one star otherwise)
We then paid less, even with paid for bike hire, and had the same amount of support on the road. And the same number of activities.
We hope this is helpful to know.

Whether you are a serious sports person training for competion, someone just starting out in a sport, or exercising for fun and fitness, CLS will have something for you.
Your days will be packed trying out the different sports and activities available. The Green Team instructors vary from being very experienced to being quite new, but they learn quickly.
The resort has everything in one place. You never have to leave. However, if you fancy a trip out, you can join an excersion or hire a car.
Accommodation is basic but clean, however, for a bit of luxury, you can rent a suite.
Any problems or issues, then speak to reception. If they can help you, this will.

This is very expensive accommodation unless the classes and facilities are what you are going for. We are not averse to paying but need a guarantee of suite location to feel confident that the holiday will be a success. Often we come away (over 30 years) saying never again then try to chance our luck again. Sometimes successfully and sometimes not! This time we were very disturbed by noise of the restaurant and neighbours. It was poor value for 9 nights of interrupted sleep when a restful time following stroke recovery was needed. Why does CLS not listen to their mature clients and give them some guarantee of peace!

My first visit to Club La Santa certainly won't be my last. I've only just left and I'm looking to book my next visit!

In short if you're an active person/family this is an ideal holiday destination for you. I felt like a pro athlete being able to train, eat and relax everyday at this fantastic resort.

I stayed in a sea view apartment (one of the newer ones) and I have to say it was very clean, modern and all round exactly what I wanted. The only area I feel Club La Santa could review here is the mattress and pillows. They aren't great and I'd expect a little better from a resort targeting active folks/athletes where sleep is a core part of recovery.

I'd included full board as part of my booking so I did visit all the restaurants onsite (full board covers the buffet but does then offer a discount at the other two restaurants). Atlantico always provided a good selection of options for me anyway. El Lago was right next to my apartment and I have to say this was my favourite restaurant. Good selection of food all round and friendly staff wherever you dine.

Supermarket onsite actually provided a wider range of goods than I expected. I expected bare minimum supplies in the supermarket which is why I paid for full board. I found myself cooking meals quite often, something I didn't expect given my expectations for the supermarket, so next time I'll likely not do full board - that's not a complaint by the way. Between the apartment amenities and the supermarket I could cook healthy, nutritious meals and eat out when I wanted to.

As for sports and options what can I say? Club La Santa seems to have options for everyone across a wide range of sports. It was nice to see very seriously athletes to active families and everything in between. The vibe of being round so many active people really can inspire you to do things you've not done before/for a long time. That running track eventually enticed me into doing do some running for the first time since......well a very long time. I'm more of a gym person and found the gym to be very good. Good free weights, bars, racks, dumbbells and plates. All the different types of cardio equipment you could ever want.

I'd also encourage folks to explore the area around the resort a little as well. There are some good walking/hiking/biking routes in the immediate area and that's something I also found myself enjoying.

Club La Santa app made my stay very easy. It has all the information you could want on the resort (maps, opening times etc), restaurants and facilities. It's very easy to use to book facilities and sports.

Staff all round very nice from security guards, reception staff, the green team, cleaners and restaurant staff. I didn't have a single bad experience in my 10 days at Club La Santa.

Our family have just had the best summer holiday we could have wished for, this place is truly amazing and offer so much for so many. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future.
The sports facilities cater for everybody and the equipment is of very high quality with a points system that generally allows everyone opportunity to book an activity without it being completely booked out for the entire duration of your stay. The food is very good and again caters for all, even the fussiest of eaters! Overall this is a well maintained resort offering so many sports opportunities and or relaxation around the beautiful leisure pool, it cannot fail to impress. Only one minor detail is that the rooms are not air conditioned, we coped with windows open and it was very safe.

Amazing sporting facilities, great location

The bike department was very efficient and very friendly staff
Wish I knew you can have bikes for free, but the Cannondale I paid for was great

The main block is a concrete jungle,
Too easy to get disorientated and poor signage
Rooms are small and basic
Beds are nit comfortable, pillows are small lumpy things, bring your own

Due to the design of the main block sound echos around at night, so quite noisy with the windows open, 2.30 am and still kids/ teenagers making a racket

No sign of air con, so must get very hot through the summer

Having to go to reception to get a towel that you have to put a deposit on to go for a swim is a joke when you're paying this much money

Amazing landscaping

We used Atlantico restaurant for breakfast a couple of mornings, lots of choice, but I think over priced

Also used El Lago restaurant for breakfast, very quiet, cold plates which made the full cooked breakfast cold by the time it arrived on the table. Mentioned this to the staff, and they where slightly warmer the following day.

If you are booing a room book in El Lago area, the units are more modern, or at the west side of the concrete jungle overlooking the pool area or the south side overlooking the running track

Too many large groups of Danish young people rendered the Padel courts unavailable between 0900 and 2030 hrs and the closure of the two south pools meant that the serving 50m North pool could not cope with the increased capacity. Thus my staple exercise of Padel Tennis and Swimming were totally frustrated during my stay last week. The quality of the food in the Atlantic Restaurant was poor and table service in both this restaurant and the much more expensive El Largo was at best poor. Overall a complete waste of money for me, I would have got much better exercise and Sport participation if I had stayed at home in Birmingham. Shop on site very expensive and selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and meat extremely poor. I must admit the staff are wonderful but while the cleaners and domestic staff have to wander around doing their work wearing face masks the members of the elite Green Team are free, like guests, to wander about out of door mask free. This elitism reflects the strict management regime in operation that is very much a business but not providing what it says on the label!

Dear Barney! First of all, thank you for taking the time to send us your honest opinion and feedback. We always value guest feedback – even when negative. I would like to give you an explanation to some of the issues you have encountered – but I doubt it will ease your frustrations much. The padel courts are open to book for anyone – first come first serve principle. Groups do not enjoy special privileges in that sense – and we would certainly never book the courts solid for groups for days out of respect for all other guests. Padel tennis has increased 30-fold in interest in many of our source markets during the past two years which means that demand – throughout the year – is higher than what our six padel courts can accommodate. We are looking into building more padel courts – however – given our space restrictions this is no quick fix and buying more land to build on is also not something that can ease the problem here and now. In regards to swimming – I have taken a look at our booking system for the swimming lanes during your stay and although many of the most popular slots have been booked there has still been plenty of availability in the North Pool. We have operated the hotel at maximum capacity during Summer vacation and Autumn half-term without running out of swim lanes – even with just one pool. Pool time must be booked via the app as everything else for us to manage the number of people per lane as we need to adhere to the current restrictions as set out by the government. Obviously, with the lack of capacity, it will require a little flexibility to find available times – but if swimming is a priority I am sure we will have lanes for 99% of the demand. As for the mask policy – if you see any of our staff outside (and in good distance from others) and still wearing a mask – this is entirely a choice of this individual. The rules to all our staff whether it be management, green teamers, technicians, waiters, cleaners or any other are exactly the same as to our guests – no mask is required outside if you can maintain a 1,5m distance to others. We actually encourage our staff to show their smiles to our guests by not wearing masks when not required – however – this will remain a personal choice and as you have seen many of our staff prefer to keep the masks on. As for the rest of your experiences with Club La Santa, I am of course sorry that it did not meet your expectations – and while we admit that we can always improve – we also pride ourselves in being a hotel that attracts a majority of return guests year after year.

Think it was €35 one way for 3/4 people. The taxis are the worst part of Lanzarote. The ones around Club La Santa are in poor health, and the drivers are not safe in my opinion. Had one doing over 100 mph at night with poor headlights and poor driving skills!
