My children, grandchildren and myself stayed in cabin 9 for 2 nights. We did not want to leave. The lady at check and seems to run the place, I am unsure, was such a nice woman that always had a smile on her face each time you may need assistance and was always available when required. Upon entering and offloading at a very convenient parking spot, you step upon a large deck equipped with a bar-b-q, bench and table with 6 chairs and umbrella. The cottage was clean, spacious with 3 comfy beds in the bedrooms including fans for those warm nights. The cottage does have an air conditioner but does not reach the bedrooms when the doors are closed, thus the supplied fans.. I took the couch which was quite comfy as well. Upon waking up with your morning coffee you sit down, look to the left and enjoy the ducks and loons coming to shore onto the sandy, shallow, safe beach. Look forward upon the grand view of Lake Nipissing and the islands within it. Surrounded by Plenty of chairs, benches and firepits to enjoy the sunset and those roasted mallows and dogs, It is approximately 5 minutes from all amenities you may require. This is truly a nice relaxing clean place.

My husband and I stayed here in a little cottage by the water for a week. I admit that my expectations were low having driven past this place before and seeing the condition but the new owners are making a real effort to update and modernize the place. I was immediately impressed with how clean our cabin was and that, being old and so close to the water, it did not smell musty or damp. While the furnishings are outdated we were very comfortable in our cabin and the location so close to the water couldn't be beat. We met some great people, families and couples, all enjoying the beautiful beach with it's shallow, warm water. While our cabin wasn't air conditioned, the temperatures dropped at night and we were very comfortable without it even on the hot August days. I believe the motel rooms are air conditioned. The location is great, close to restaurants and shopping and we had a great time at this little diamond in the rough.

The cottage we rented was the first closest to the lake... It was superbly situated to watch the sunsets with easy access to a firepit and water. Parking for visitors was ample and also complimentary. When we arrived we were very happy to be greeted by a very clean cabin. My worst fears were put to rest right away as there was no smell of a musty, damp cabin. Exactly what I wanted. The cabins are being updated so we put up with the lack of drawers to put away "stuff" but this did not distract form
our holiday.... This review would not be complete or fair without mentioning the owners Suja and her husband (think its Tom) who actually make you feel like your a guest in their home. Would I go back there...???... Actually yes and allready planning for next summer. Same cabin # 14.

The ad mentioned double beds but they are xl twins, plus the pictures didn’t represent what was seen in person, and wasn’t the last cottage on the lake, even though it stated that. You don’t get a fire pit on your lot, you are assigned a pit near the lake with every other fire pit for other cottages close together. It doesn’t feel private at all. With holes in the floor, we had mice in our cabin (so try to sleep well at night). Also verryyy overpriced for the space and quality of the service + the grounds, which makes you second guess your decision to have booked with them. You get the rough camping feel, with missing kitchen utensils, bakeware and oven mits. Expect to be told they need a 100$ cash deposit for cleaning your cabin if you don’t clean it well upon checkout…. That was a surprise to me. The only decent aspect was the shower and fridge size. Overall, we’re disappointed about the location, service and quality of the cabins (even if some of the inside was renovated) given we paid about 200$ a night.

We are regularly visiting the Bay to visit a member of our family and so need to find the most economical accomodation possible. Thought we'd try out Glen Garry as the recent reviews were great and the price was right. This is a traditional motel updated with some new, basic amenities where you can park your car right outside the room. Room was small and we could have used a desk, but water was hot, king bed was comfy and wifi worked well. Situated right on the lake, the property is OUTSTANDING. We sat by the lake on Saturday night in muskoka chairs and watched the sun set.

Stay at Glen Garry before it gets bought up and turned into a boutique motel at 3x the price.

This is our second year staying at a cottage at the Glen Garry Motel in North Bay. While the cottages are older, they have updated the important things like on-demand hot water and great wi-fi. Many of the cabins have new decks with seating and/or eating areas and each cabin has its own firepit. The beach is small but lovely and the water is shallow and warm. It is in a great location close to grocery stores, farmers market, the downtown, movies, mini-putt etc. The owners are lovely and willing to help out with anything you need and the cabins are meticulously clean. I will warn you again that these are older cabins, not fancy, but they have everything you need for a great, relaxing holiday.

Me and my wife stayed in a cottage. Every thing we needed was in- good size fridge, microwave, coffee machine ,all kitchen ware includes pot,big stove, nice tv with many channels more than i have in my house, wifi was fast. forgot to mention the room and all was very very clean.
The beach is 20 yard from the cottage and the beach is full of benches and chairs.
The sandy beach and the island across felt like we are in one of the exotic island down south. The owners are amazing and very helpful.
We already booked our next vacation there.

Stayed in motel for 3 nights. The motel is older, nothing fancy, clean and comfortable. There are also cottages for rent. The owners are friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable. Room had 2 side chairs, A/C, mini fridge, microware and single cup coffee marker, free wifi, TV. Parking in front of motel room/cottage. Sandy beach is beautiful and clean, with chairs and benches .Close to grocery stores, downtown about 15 minute drive. Restaurants in the area
Will definitely stay here again

Unfortunately the 1st room I stayed in had a lot of mouse poop all over the room and I found some in the bed. I had my dog with me and had found mouse poop in her empty food bowl. The motel staff brought me a new blanket that didn't fit the size of the bed and no new sheets. She did give me a new room the next day. That room was very clean and a lot nicer looking (not having marks and scratches all over the door and walls).

Got in well after dark, room was clean, beds comfortable and the shower had great hot water and pressure. We stayed in the motel portion, very affordable; in fact I would say suspiciously cheap compared to other places I've stayed on this trip based on how beautiful the property is.

Woke up to a beautiful lake front view to gawk at while having morning coffee, definitely going to make a point of staying here on the return trip.
