Rodd Moncton is a three and a half Star hotel located in the heart of Downtown Moncton. The hotel overlooks the famous Tidal Bore waterfront and sidelines Tidal Bore Park. The hotel is only one of a few within walking distance of the downtown Moncton business district and Champlain Place Mall. Rodd Moncton features 97 tastefully decorated guestrooms complete with the modern amenities you've come to expect. We are the only downtown location offering free hot continental breakfast and free parking. The outdoor patio and heated outdoor pool are always strong selling points for those hot summer days in Moncton, and Rodd Moncton is the only hotel in the downtown core with this feature.

We had to wait for an evening flight and they allowed us to stay beyond our reservation so we could wait in comfort instead at the airport! They were so friendly and genuinely interested in our travel plans. Thanks so much!!

The staff, especially the front desk staff was very friendly and professional! The lady who checked me in was very helpful and she upgraded my room for free. The hotel offers free breakfast and free parking. The breakfast was a self serve buffet type of thing but an attendant was present at all times and she was nice, helpful and made sure everything was fresh and stocked. The hotel is old but they did a great job upgrading and modernizing the rooms. They have everything the average traveller could need, even a microwave! The bathroom was fully equipped and very clean. I especially liked the USB ports that were available beside the bed for multiple devices.
With free wifi, parking and breakfast this hotel is a great choice to stay in Moncton on business especially for it’s convenient location. I did find the price to be a bit high compared to others but it was a nice and pleasant stay and I do see myself booking that hotel again.

We went to Moncton for 72 hours and stayed on Main street at the corner with King Street at the Rodd Moncton. This hotel was recently renovated but it was done quickly and the word Utilitarian comes to mind. It is fine as a place to stay for one night no more. The hotel is more like a motel on the highway where you stop for the night and get away quickly in the morning. We had a room on the third floor facing Main street and it would be better to have a room facing the river at the back to avoid the street noise. Main street is a major road. The staff are pleasant and the hotel is clean. Yes the bathroom are tiny, the size of a bathroom on a cruise ship. Again utilitarian approach to design. The room had a coffee machine with paper cups no porcelain mugs. The breakfast was included in the price of the room but it is not worth it. The coffee was undrinkable, the offer of eggs and sausage did not look fresh and was not appetizing. The selection of breads is industrial white bread, same for muffins and bagels. Simply better to go down the street to a cafe and get a decent breakfast. The Room used for the breakfast guests is sterile and has the look of a ER room at the hospital, depressing on a cold winter morning. I simply cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Next time we will go 100 feet away and stay either at the Delta or the Marriott.

I stayed one night for a business trip. The room on the 3rd floor was large and clean. The work area is quite large and there were enough charge points nearby. There isn't "in-wall" air con but there is a pump by the window. It wasn't too loud and didn't disturb me. The bathroom was large enough for one person and functional. I had to spend 5 minutes working out how to use the shower but everything worked. Breakfast is a hot buffet of eggs, sausages and beans. There is a facility to make toast, there are some cereals and yoghurts. Coffee wasn't very good, a little to rough for my taste.

I stay here fairly regularly for business. It is close to downtown and the mall.
The restaurant is average but reasonably priced food but you are so close to other restaurants that shouldn’t be a problem.
Rooms are generally good / average for the price range and only the very picky would be disappointed.
Overall I would recommend to others

This was my second stay over the past year and I plan to stay at the Rodd Moncton on futures trips to Moncton, New Brunswick. Rodd Hotels and Resorts are long established in the Canadian Maritime provinces. I remember this property on Rue Main Street in Moncton since it is a landmark in downtown Moncton and in my lifetime it was formerly The Park House. While the property is longstanding Rodd Hotels and Resorts is constantly investing in the property to maintain a decor that is on trend and making you feel like they anticipated your needs, staying up to date and continually earning your business and gaining your loyalty. Location is everything and with the free parking you could choose to explore downtown Moncton on foot, while everything else is in close proximity by car. Staff are welcoming and accommodating and the reception area is bright and cheerful. Rooms are tastefully updated and I love the modern-traditional plaid hallway carpeting that is a bit of a solute to the Maritimes history and a statement on its contemporary confidence. The complimentary breakfast is a time saving convince set in what would make a wonderful restaurant location with a view to the adjacent park and Rue Main Street. Staff were present and attentive to support patrons with their self-service breakfasts to ensure items were stocked and provide assistance. The Rodd Moncton Hotel is competitively priced without compromise.

I took my daughter to Moncton just for the night to do some shopping and visit the zoo. I booked a smaller room but the very friendly man at the desk upgraded us free of charge. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The shower was lovely (I'm picky about water pressure) Great location, we were able to walk everywhere and there is a beautiful trail right behind it. The pool needs some updating but wouldn't keep us from going back. We had a great night.

Great location, cool bathroom sink, and a comfortable King bed in a very clean room. However, the best thing about this hotel is the customer service. We booked directly with the Rodd because of its proximity to the local hospital, and due to complications we needed to make special requests. Management was exceptional in helping us! We will be back for more hospital visits, and be assured that we will rebook rooms at the Rodd Moncton to offer us comfort in challenging times.

It’s difficult to find a clean and affordable quality hotel in a convenient location these days of high inflation so we were very pleased that this Rodd property checked all the boxes. We were very happy with the property overall and the superb cleanliness. It’s obvious this hotel cares about the comfort off their guests. It is as nice as it sounds. This is not the Hilton but it is lovely. Good price point and clean.

50% of rooms are facing a busy road with T junction opposite and many bumps in road. There was no attempt to reduce noise from road traffic through windows or aircon unit consequently sleeping was broken by traffic noise and sirens. The toilet pan is from a dolls house and even a waste bin is higher!! Breakfast at the weekend was really poor with limited choice and on a weekday only marginally better. We asked for a room on river side but we're told none available so don't rely on any requests made Can only suggest booking somewhere else until they fit secondary glazing, ducted aircon, adult wc"s and improve breakfast. Shame to write such a review as there were many good features. The hotel design team failed to design for the location in favour of aesthetic details.
