This is our second time staying here and it's a great room for a great price. I get very picky about rooms in this price range especially about the furnace. Many furnaces have a loud fan and will never turn off during the day or night. This furnace is quiet and when it reaches the correct temperature it turns off and then back on as necessary! As stated in other reviews the rooms are smaller but I knew that and in actuality, the rooms aren't that small. The bathroom is a big size. I do wish they would incorporate a sofa chair in the room as I believe there is room to do that. They have a desk chair but it's not as comfortable. But the design allows for a king size bed, a microway and mini fridge tucked away in a cupboard and storage shelves for those who want them. The breakfast was great even though it's a bit awkward getting it from a lady behind the counter. I didn't need to but I think you can go back for seconds? Staff are very friendly and there's often a cookie at front desk waiting to be eaten. In any case, any time we go back to Medicine Hat, we will be staying here!

During COVID-19, people are apprehensive to stay in a hotel. But this one was very fresh and clean! The staff was very pleasant. Our room was not very big but satisfied everything we needed - a clean and quiet place to stay for one night. They do not charge extra for pets.
Great idea to have some rags in the room for cleanup of spills rather than using a towel or facecloth.
We were impressed with our stay and hope this hotel maintains their current quality.

The rooms are very small, only a chair in room is at desk. No closet to hand clothes, has some gadget that comes out of wall to hand a few clothes that when you try to make way to bed have to be careful don’t knock clothes off. Small desk which has quite a bit of space taken up by gameboy. The room was very dark and when opened curtains the windows were so dirty could hardly see out of them
They are still only doing bag breakfast which has very limited items and didn’t even have all the items listed. No juice or milk available.(They are still advertising full breakfast
Fortunately we had friends in a campground to go visit with so could have a chair to sit in to read .To try to appease us gave a 10$ gift certificate for ice cream which we didn’t have the opportunity or want to use.
They did give us 50$ off price of room which in no way made up the amount of money we had to spend to get breakfast and of course totally no service done so hotel chain is certainly saving money on staff so maybe the longer they can drag this COVID thing out the better they like it. We have been to other hotels which are back to regular services for a month or more

Thank you for your feedback George and Norma. We are sincerely let down that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. As indicated when booking, we are unable to provide a full breakfast at this time. We did unfortunately have a mix up with the yogurt during your stay, which was available all week. The juice machine was indeed down one day due to the widespread city power outage, but we had it up and running as quickly as a technician could come. We do have other room types available with larger closet space and even a sitting chair, which we definitely would have offered had we known about the issues. As for the ps3, they are available in every room for guests to enjoy games and movies, but again can remove them easily if we know they are causing an issue. In an industry that has lost and is still losing most of our business, please know that we are in know way 'saving money on staff', or breakfast, or service. We are still giving all that we can to our guests and trying to make sure that you, as well as our staff, remain safe and healthy. Again, we apologize that you did not enjoy your stay, as most of our guests have a fantastic trip when they stay with us. Be well.

Hotel room was a reasonable price of $100 but it was a very small room. Vanity counter in bathroom is very small. You do get a cheaper priced room but then you also get what you pay for. Hotel is very stringent about COVID which is a bit of a turn off considering the province is opening. They have a sign hanging in their door mandating masks for all non vaccinated hotel guests and suggesting it as well for vaccinated hotel guests. Other hotels in the province have opened their dining areas. At this place, you get a bagged hot sandwich with a sausage patty and egg inside of a English muffin for breakfast handed to you at the checkout desk in a brown paper bag. You have to request this; there is no continental breakfast bar where you can pick what you want. You also get an apple which is not my choice of fruit right now. It would have been nice to have more menu choices for breakfast. Decor in rooms is very tacky.

While we do request that guests be respectful of others in this time while our province is opening but other provinces still require masks, we are not putting pressure on individuals to wear masks in our establishment. Unfortunately due to sanitizing restrictions, we are unable to have a self serve breakfast at this time. We are doing our best to make sure that all of our guests feel safe and reassured that our hotel is clean and accepting of everyone.

The place was modern, the rooms were very clean, staff were nice and text me after we got into our rooms to see how things were which is a plus. Breakfast was included in the $90 room rate and me, my partner and son enjoyed it. Highly recommend as we would stay again 😊

Super clean, rooms are small but very well designed to make it feel larger. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise bag full of goodies including cookies, bottle water, granola bar, choice of muffin or cinnamon bun and choice of fruit.
I would definitely make a point of staying at this hotel next time I go see family. Well worth it.

We went to Medicine Hat to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary & wanted a hotel that also allowed our fur baby. This hotel was an excellent choice & Rosalyn went over & above what we expected!! Our room was clean, quiet, bed was comfortable & all staff were friendly & helpful. Rosalyn's extra touches made our anniversary perfect! To make a great place even better, our fur baby stayed for free!! Due to Covid, the breakfast buffet was not available, but they did offer a per-packaged breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel & we will definitely stay again.

I have been staying at the Home Inn Express Medicine Hat while working in the area, The management and staff have been excellent, very responsive and helpful with bookings and service during my stay. A real game changer is the ability to text the front desk with any concerns or requests. The room is clean, quiet, and modern with all the amenities I need at a fraction of the cost of other hotels offering similar services in Medicine Hat. I recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice room for a great value.

The hotel is new, clean, comfortable and quiet at a reasonable price. The room was well apportioned and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and featured real plates and cutlery (not paper and plastic).

Hello! We use Bath & Body works shampoo and conditioner!
Thank you for your question. The hotel was completely renovated about 2 years ago, and we do have a few smoking rooms, but as guests here have said, they are quite unobtrusive.

As our wonderful previous guests mentioned, our beds are very comfortable and we have a variety of sizes to choose from (Double, Queen and King).
