Room was very clean, there was absolutely no smell in the room, halls, elevator or lobby (as there often is with older buildings and smoking customers). King-size bed was comfortable, small TV (but we did not go to Edmonton to watch TV), shower/ water temperature control worked, room temperature good. We really have no complaints and would recommend… and will stay there again.

This was a pretty average hotel. Nothing special, but no complaints. All basic amenities. Heated underground parking was nice. Yuk yuks amateur night was fun and inexpensive. Food was pretty good. Large casino if you like gambling.

Originally booked this hotel because it was close to an event we were attending. Once we had a look around, there was so much more than a casino! Although we were only there for one night and didn't get to check out all their facilities, we were impressed with what they offer. They have a showroom advertising some older but worth seeing entertainment like Toronto, Honeymoon suite and more. Yuk Yuks has a spot there which is always a fun night out. I think you would have to keep an eye out for what you like but there is definitely a variety of entertaining things to do.
The casino was quite large. The room was amazing! The king bed was hard to leave in the morning it was so comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet, no noise from the hallways. The location cant be beat - with an LRT walking distance, you can get to Northlands or Downtown in minutes. A perfect place to kick back and relax.

Well I got a suite for my birthday - the heat was stuck on. The place is rundown and the staff are unprofessional.

It is sad that their equipment fails and they still make the customor pay the full shot. No discount, but a free $9 breakfast? No thanks.

Thank you Corie for taking the time to leave another review. We apologize that you were not satisfied with your stay. The heat in the hotel is set to 22 degrees and with the thermostat turned down it was 20 degrees in the room after you checked out. There is also an air conditioning unit in the window that can be used to cool down the room if it was too hot. As explained to you at check-out we cannot adjust or change prices booked through a third party. You were offered a free breakfast worth up to $30 and a discount on your next stay to which you refused both.

We had the turkey dinner special in the casino restaurant. Great food! Generous portions! It came with cranberry sauce and delicious stuffing. Turkey portion had thick slices with lots of gravy.

Service was excellent! We will be back again.

Holy Hell, my husband and I have just been banned for life from this Hotel and Casino. We booked a jacuzzi suite at this Hotel through Booking.com (picture of jacuzzi on the Booking.com confirmation email and attached to this Review). We arrived at the Hotel and were told by an uncaring Desk Clerk that they had no Reservation for us. When I gave the confirmation number, magically the Reservation was found. But no, we were told by "Penny", it would not be the jacuzzi suite we booked -- their Hotel doesn't even have that type of room. My Husband was mad because this was a special weekend for us and frustrated by Penny's uncaring attitude, asked to speak to the Manager. Penny said we could but that it was not their fault. At no time did Penny offer to make the situation right (or actually call the Manager) but rather told us she could simply cancel our Reservation right there. We left and found another Hotel to stay in for the night. Today we received a call from the Manager who advised we had "abused" her front desk staff and were therefore barred for life. No apology at any point from either Penny or the Manger... only the adamant denial that it was in any way their fault. My Husband, who has worked in the Hotel Industry for years (at a high level) advised the Manager that maybe they needed to work on their Public Relations skills instead of blaming Booking.com for using an outdated photo given to them by the Hotel. NEVER TO RETURN and would not recommend anyone to stay at this Hotel!! POOR service!!

The hotel boasts that the rooms are newly renovated. NOT!
Reeks of the smell of cigarette smoke - the temperature adjustment thing on the walls do not work. This means you cannot adjust the air flow or temperature of the rooms. Hot smelly night.
Shower is old and rusty, towels have been laundered like a million times. Ew Ew Ew Ew Ew!!
Never again.

Our stay started out great, beautiful suite, friendly staff but upon returning from the Oilers game to play cards in the casino it went south. The staff were friendly and courteous but while playing blackjack I was verbally abused by another patron, he was belligerent and demeaning, the lovely dealer tried to ease the situation with him being rude to her as well, another lady from the pit came over with him now being ignorant to all of us just because he didn't like the way I play (which resulted in him winning every hand he complained about) this all went on for quite some time, a male employee in the pit saw everything that was going on and chose to ignore it, this got to the point that I was afraid to leave the table on my own! The other patron eventually left on his own, belittling me the entire way, nothing was done by staff to remove him or stop his verbal assault on me, I've never been treated so poorly in an establishment! A lovely lady came and apologized after the fact, it was all far too late, I was so upset and angry that I was shaking, we left the casino early to go to bed, nothing was done to remedy the situation during the fact or after, I'm very upset that what was supposed to be a night out celebrating big my spouse and I's birthdays turned out this way!

Although it's a small hotel in Edmonton, it's a top-notch hotel. The rooms are clean, roomy and stylish, beds are comfy, tv's and coffee makers are upgraded. I stay here all the time and the recent upgrades have only enhanced the quality of my stay. I know some people think it's out of the way but with the LRT basically next door, it makes it convenient to get to Rexall Place, downtown, etc without the worry or extra cost of parking. I recommend this hotel to everyone!
