Very welcoming staff who said, “welcome back” and gave us a box of chocolates when we visited town at Christmas. Extremely helpful in getting us what we needed and very accommodating. Among other things, bag breakfasts were available because of COVID, also very clean and sanitizer available, helped us feel like they were taking the needed precautions to keep everyone safe.

Easy to get to & in the right location to get to our appointment. Room was clean & we had a suite so a separate bedroom. Would be better if the privacy door had a room darkening shade because if someone is watching TV in the main room the light flickers into the sleeping area. If they insist on carpets when you step into the room then a boot tray should be added especially in a city that sands & salts it's roads 6 months of the year. We tracked grit in every time we came inside. Also the snow plow clearing the lot at 12:30 AM was really annoying, there has to be a better time to do that. Overall we thought it was a good place to stay.

3rd floor room. We came in for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary with our two young children. We chose this hotel due to location and the waterslide. The room layout with separate bedrooms worked great and the breakfast in the morning was adapted for COVID but still great value ( breakfast sandwich, fruit, juice, coffee and made to order waffles).
The hotel staff went above and beyond leaving a special treat for us and a bottle of sparkling apple juice with wine glasses which was a very nice touch. If you are looking for a budget friendly value stay this is a great choice.
We stayed on a weekend and the area lends itself to some "characters" as it gets later in the night but hotel has security on site at entrance for night time and its key entry only at night. No issues arose but the hotel seemed to take a proactive stance on safety. A few hotel guests seemed to be at the hotel to party (maybe they were pre-drinking for a night out) but they were located same floor as us and not too many rooms away ( 5 or 6 rooms away). Beyond hearing some laughter and voices as you walked past the room in the hall it was nothing out of hand and did not last late into the night.

Had a great stay at the Super 8 Wyndham Edmonton South! We stayed in the King Suite with jetted tub and it was awesome! The room was very clean and welcoming. The staff went above and beyond with preparing the room and leaving sparking juice, chocolates and fresh flowers. It was very impressive. Even with the current restrictions in place, it felt welcoming and take out breakfast was provided. A very enjoyable stay!! Thank you to Preety at the front desk.

Be aware that the pool only allows 18 people in at once, so expect to get limited pool time during your stay. The staff wouldn't accommodate early check in and it was like pulling teeth to get a later check out. They were also very unaccomodating for large families. Hotel cleanliness is also poor

Linda checked us in and was amazing. Clean pool. Clean rooms. Quiet room. There is a Dennys at this location and you receive 15% off the restaurant if you are staying at the hotel. Hotel also has a Breakfast as well.

When we checked in, had issue with sink in bathroom. Instead of just fixing the issue or moving us to an equal room, we were given an upgrade at no extra cost. The day manager was super friendly and kind, making sure our stay was great. Location is good. Not far from West Ed Mall, lots of shopping near, good restaurants close. Property is clean, easily accessible either north or southbound on Gateway ave. Very close to Whitemud Dr.

We were pleased with the service and cleanliness of our stay. The staff were very pleasant.. All staff seemed friendly, at all times and will to help. The dining room was set up with good distancing and staff were gracious and helpful and quick to clean up spills and ;messes.

Always a pleasure, this property is in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing location. The staff is pleasant and helpful, the pool was up and running this time being previously shut down do to COVID. Not sure why this hotel isn't rated higher, had a great experience here as a family. Breakfast had the usual continental stuff, waffles, sausages or bacon, and hashbrowns. Staff was friendly, particularly the kitchen staff and the cleaners. Pool and rooms were fine, what you would expect for this price point. Everyone is short of staff, so room cleaning was later in the day, but the cleaning lady was apologetic and helpful.
